Theta S Pattison

This is a good dermatology practice. They are well organized and usually run on time. They are thorough in reviewing your condition, but sometimes the time spent feels rushed.

The responses associated with the reviews are clearly NOT the responses that answer the reviews. Has someone changed or tampered with these reviews? Not going to contact this place since I can tell what's true, what's manufactured and if anyone there gives a hoot about it.

Took my mom here. This office is really busy. They see a large number of people and spend little time with each. You are a number. The worst of it though is the inexperienced PAs. She was not impressed. The negative reviews on here are legit.

Dr Pattison has been my derm for 30 years !! She is fast and efficient and the best!!!

Allison clearly cares about the people she sees. The nursing staff is also very kind. It’s always a quick process getting in and out, but I still feel like any concerns are heard and addressed.

Kelly (PA) took excellent care of me, removing a growth and checking for any suspicious lesions that could have resulted from my sun-loving youth. She is smart, professional and very nice. On my second visit I had an unpleasant and unnecessary response from a clerk working in the front. And I wasn't even asking her anything. By basically telling this patient I had no right to ask a simple question, my opinion of the practice is soured. Respect is a two way street. Who needs this? Sigh. Absolutely one of the most professional and efficient physicians’ office I have experienced. The PA Samantha and her assistant were courteous, empathetic and clinically fantastic. This office and staff are 5 stars plus, and at 73 I have been to my share of specialist offices .

My referring doctor's office was very clear and exact that my appointment was here and when (which I confirmed on a call this morning) so I waited 3 weeks to show up and be told that I had no appointment at all because they don't take my insurance. So all they did was drop me without saying anything and waste my time. Not polite about it either. Don't bother if you don't have a swanky plan or appreciate manners. I've been a patient here for many years. Dr's are OK, but there seems to be lack of communication between them, PA's and staff. Dr said one thing, PA said something else entirely and seemed rushed and not interested in doing procedure. Told me more than once I didn't have to do it. This is after driving over an hour to get there in a snow storm at 9am! Not good. Had to reschedule 1st appointment after I showed up for it because they were so worried my insurance might not cover it. It was a holiday and insurance company was closed. Maybe they should have made sure before a Holiday Monday appointment? Just simple stuff here people! Prior to my appointment I faxed 35 pages of reports regarding my diagnosis. When I arrived for my appointment I politely asked if she had read any of those reports. Immediately replied “What if you didn’t show up for your appointment”? I would have wasted her time reading reports. No time or interest in the patient. Dr. Theta noticed a suspicious mole on my face. I promptly got it removed. I often think she saved me from cancer.

Kelley Powers was excellent. Very thorough and great bedside manner. My 3 y/o was so comfortable with her and her skin issues were fixed right away. I highly recommend Kelley and this practice in general! Thank you!

My experiences have all been wonderful. I thought I had shingles over a weekend. Left a message on the machine. Theta herself was on the road but called and told me how to get an appointment first thing on Monday. I was diagnosed with melanoma last year. I was a new patient and agreed to see a PA. I felt extremely rushed and that they just wanted to ask you their standard questions and not wait for your answers, then proceed to ask the next question as quick as possible. My entire body was check in 1 minute and I forgot I had a little wart on my ring finger. I called immediately when I left to ask if I could come back in quickly for them to freeze it but they told me I needed to make another appointment. If they took the time to examine my hands as has been done by my prior dermatologist, they would have seen it immediately. But like I said, it was like a race to see how fast they could get me in and out. I’m not sure I would go back. Everyone was very nice but I’m not sure they know what they are doing!

I have been treating with Dr.Pattison for over 20 yrs. Made an appointment months ago for my daughter. They did not accept her insurance, but I was willing to pay out of pocket. I missed my exit on highway. Called and explained. They told me I had 20 minute leeway. Arrived with one minute to spare but had to wait in check in line. When we got to desk they told us we were 1 minute over and would not see us. I begged explaining the delay. Receptionist was nasty. Told us no exceptions. I guess they are so busy now they can afford to lose a new patient as well as a long-standing customer. This was so rude and unacceptable. I have never been late for an appointment and the one time there is no allowance made. It’s ok for the patients to wait months for an appointment. Did it affect their day? I am sure not. They just kept on seeing patients. Did it affect my day? Sure did!!!!

Horrible

Had my second experience where I was told a skin tag was harmless but if I wanted it off for cosmetic reasons they would take it off then and there. I asked if MY particular MVP plan would cover the cost. (Bc if it cost me anything I would pass since it was so small and un-seeable) I asked twice to be SURE. And here I am with a bill for $130. ($50 of that I was expecting for my co-pay, but the rest was what I had asked about). The last time the procedure I was told would be completely covered was much more expensive. "Can you make SURE, because I have a deductible " "I'm sure!" Staff and doctors are great!

Always A friendly staff. All nurses&Doctors are always professional.

One Front desk staff was kinda not friendly. But the doctor is great. They do a thorough job and just not fix anything temporarily with medicine.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Sam since I was 16 for androgentic alopecia and she is one of the nicest doctors I’ve had! She’s always very supportive and keeps me positive through my hair loss. I have seen Dr. Winter as well a few times when Dr. Sam isn’t available and she’s very knowledgeable and kind as well. There’s hardly ever a wait time at this office which is great. The friendly, confident feeling of being with professionals is great. Extremely concerned for the patient's welfare and understanding. My recent visit was very satisfying and the concerns of the staff, during my last "PDT" procedure was one of caring.

I saw Mary the P.A. and she was gentle and kind. Her nurse Suzette was the best. She takes her time and she is loving and kind. I would definitely go back to see Mary and Suzette.

Dr. Pattison double books patients, so you have to wait at least 45 minutes before she even sees you. Her annual exam is quick and not very thorough. She and her nurse are very cold and incompassionate. I would recommend Dr. Pattison and her staff get training on customer focused care. They need to learn how to speak to patients and not berate them and make them feel bad.

Dr. Pattison and her nurse can be very harsh and uncaring. She kept telling me to calm down and take deep breaths. She made a statement if you can't calm down we will have to send you to the hospital. Everything she said would cause anyone to get more upset rather than calm down. She needs some serious training on how to be more compassionate and how to de-escalate a patient that is upset. She is very harsh and gets annoyed if a patient is upset. She shouldn't be practicing in the medical field with how she treats patients. Go to any other dermatologist than Dr. Pattison

I like others would give no stars if the site allowed. I was mislead that I could have some skin tags removed in one visit. I specifically asked that question and was told that there would be no problem. I had a trip one month after the visit and wanted to get it done. Well, I get there and after an exam I am told I need to reschedule for a second appointment. I was told I could see any of the doctors. I go out schedule an appointment and as i am working with the women at the desk when another reception person starts saying I need to see the same doctor and putting limitations on who and when I can see a doctor. This person made it impossible for me to get an appointment within the month left for me. I finally just left in frustration without scheduling anything. If you need a dermatologist you would be advised to go somewhere else where they do not lie to you and then make it impossible to get work done. Doctor was OK but the office and staff were terrible. Dr. Winters was able to properly diagnose and treat where other practitioners fell short. Everyone is very friendly. I highly recommend the practice!

I see Dr pearlmutter in her practice. She is kind and knowledgeable and takes time with her patients.

I have been seeing Dr. Pattison for many years. She has been phenomenal and her commitment to ensuring the best treatment has prevented me from further cancer.

This woman is nasty.I had laser hair removal and asked what the intense flash I was seeing was even though my eyes were covered. She got all huffy and accused me of being too upset to continue with the procedure even though I was not upset. She kept insisting the flash was bothering me even though it wasn’t. She was incredibly rude to my coworker after her diagnosing her with lupus. Coworker started crying and Pattinson walked out, telling nurse to “deal” with her.

Wow! I saw Dr. Perlmutter in this practice and she was FABULOUS! Her nurse Hope was also WONDERFUL! I've been to several of the local dermatology offices and can say that this is THE BEST! All of the staff from start to finish were kind and courteous. The client flow was smooth and quick. Dr. Perlmutter was friendly and kind - giving me choices and explaining in terms that I can understand. Won't hesitate to recommend!

If I could give less than one star I would. We started going to Dr Pattison after my cousin died at age 30 from melanoma. Over the years things were fine. Then Dr pattison added more drs. I was not happy with who I saw. I complained. Asked for Samantha and was told by a receptionist to find another office. No problem. My husband already did. I was insulted and very angry. I am unsure why there are negative reviews. I was skeptical when making the appt because of the bad reviews but everyone was very nice. I saw Dr. Menon and she was great, told me what she was concerned about with my skin and what we needed to do to take care it. She was knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable. I am glad that I made the decision to try this place this place out for myself rather than follow the reviews. I will continue to see Dr. Menon for my care. Dr Pattison does my annual exam in a throrough and caring manner. Explains and provides options for treating issues when needed. Warm personality a real plus.

I had a very unusual form of skin cancer. I found Dr. Pattison to be knowledgeable, helpful and calming. I went to her for a second opinion because the first doctor I went to was awful.

21 years ago I was referred to Dr Pattison for a spot on my body. She took it off, biopsied it, and thank God she did! She has removed cancer several times from both my Husband and I. She found it Not us. Dr. Pattison is a very focused Physician. She picks up on everything on our bodies. She not only cares for our skin, she cares for us as people. If you are seeking a Truly Excellent Dermatologist We Highly Recommend DR. THETA PATTISON and her wonderful Staff.

I was diagnosed with scabies. Dr. P hit me with everything she had and I took all meds as directed. Even moved to a new apartment. She was kind about the co-pay and my financial situation as well. Big heads up; I still had major symptoms but the staff did not believe me. Urgent care diagnosed me as still having scabies. We learned that even though the human scabies mite cannot survive on an animal for food, it can hang out in their fur and produce the same itching symptoms, thereby reinfecting a person. Dermatologists and veterinarians don't communicate, so she wasn't aware of it. YOU MUST TREAT YOUR PET AS WELL AS YOURSELF AT THE SAME TIME, or you will get it again and again. Friendly experience with staff and doctors. However, the doctor took two biopsy's and never came to a conclusion on a skin issue that I have. Her answer was to do a third biopsy. They never called to let me know any results until I called in and the nurse said they wanted to cut me open again. No thanks after two times and you still cant figure it out, Im not paying for a third biopsy that should have been done properly the first time. Ialmost feel like they make you keep coming back so that they can charge you over and over. Insurance sucks now a days and it costs a few hundred dollars at every appointment. Very pleased with dr and staff. They did 4 biopsies on my son and were great through it all.

Dr Pattison has always been extreemly personable and helpful. Very knowledgeable, and skilled. The few moles she has removed have been removed painlessly. I have her seeing two of my children now, and she is wonderful with them as well. She takes her time, and explains thouoghly. I don't feel like a name with her, but a person she remembers.

Have seen several Dermatologists over the years and she is the best. Found a skin cancer and took it off at same visit because I live far away from her office. My sister also goes to her and swears that she is the best doctor she goes to. Her office staff is also really nice.

I wasn't aware certain charges were being made until they showed up on my bill. I thought it was unreasonably high but the office refused to reduce it.

Everyone is super friendly and I felt that my doctor truly listened to my concerns and thoroughly explained the intended treatment plan and what to expect.

Dr. Theta Pattison is the best! While in her office for an appointment, I have observed her above and beyond care for her patients. She is the only person I would see in town! Her office staff is very professional and courteous as well.
