It’s amazing to me seeing these medical professionals touting the effectiveness of 12 step programs while giving no statistical/scientific evidence that they work. They take vulnerable sick people and tell them that the only method to treating there disease is by working a 12 step program that statically has been proven to only work for 8-12 % of people but Dr. Parran won’t tell you that. He tells you it’s the only method to “recovery” and that if it doesn’t work it’s “your fault”. How terrible and sad for nearly 90% of people with this terrible disease looking for help and an effective treatment.
