Dr. Theodore Knatt SR.

Unprofessional. 1st appointment Dr. Knatt spent more time speaking about his family than my Mom’s ankle. Was told they’d send a faxed order for ankle brace to the “Hanger Clinic” and could have it picked up after Medicaid approves it in 2-3 weeks. I called 14 days later just to find out Dr. Knatt’s nurse Megan never even sent the fax order, so we’ve waited weeks for nothing. Called Megan multiple times throughout the week and she still didn’t send the fax until day 20, ironically the fax machine started “working again” just minutes after she heard how agitated I was with the back and forth. Now, we FINALLY get to Hanger Clinic, just to find out that Megan messed up yet again by sending an order for the opposite foot (but the clinic couldn’t change the order on their end unless Dr. Knatt’s office approved it first). Dr. Knatt was quick to throw the blame on the Hanger Clinic and rarely addressed his nurse’s mistakes, bragging he’s done podiatry work for 30 years but then recommended my mom to an ankle/heel doctor. Questioning what was the point in going to him. This all happened within the first 2 visits.

Very unorganized practice. Came to this office twice. The first time, afternoon appointment, the receptionist was rude and it was over a hour after my scheduled time before they saw me. The second time, early morning appointment so I thought it would be quicker, but it again took a hour after my scheduled time. I met Dr. Knatt for the first time at his office in the month of March 2022 concerning my hip. While showing me a CT scan of my problem hip, i asked him what could he do to heal me? He said only God could heal me. I liked that answer. Then he said I could take shots for pain, I said No. He said I needed a total hip replacement. I didn't hesitate and said can we do it in November and the answer was Yes. I had the surgery, everything went excellent. I give glory to God and thanks to Dr. Knatt for allowing God to use him in the way He has. I am healed. Its been 2 months and three weeks. I have been doing good since day one of surgery. I strongly recommend Dr. Knatt... he did me well for surgery and care.

Dr Knatt could not have wanted to spend less time with me. Literally 5minutes into the visit he was standing up and opening the door while I was actively asking questions. No concern for addressing my questions, generally demeaning and insulting. Also, there’s no other orthopedic surgeon there, so you can’t even switch doctors. Tried to complain to supervisors at Lourdes but was given the run around and largely ignored. If he performs your surgery you will be stuck with incompetent care and no other options.

Horrible experience all around.

I done my first knee surgery in 2008 did next knee surgery in 2010 an I feel whole again what he done for me I will alway Praise him I recommend to need surgery Awesome DOCTORS.

Doctor Knatt did a remarkable job on my hip replacement surgery. I now have to get the other hip done. I’m sorry to see that he is not in Baton Rouge anymore. Now I have to find someone else who is as good as he. I need recommendations.

Dr Knatt is a people Doctor.He has been doctor and I thank Jehovah God for him.He is well manner He has been my doctor since the 90’s

I have nothing but great things to say about Dr. K. He is always very professional and explains in terms that I can understand. He is not with Ochsner on Summa. I am trying to find his new location.

The BEST surgeon I've ever met and worked with. Technically skilled in all areas of surgery. Takes care of his patients as if they're his family. Most of all LOVES his career and has ELITE accolades in Orthopaedic surgery.

Raving reviews from several elderly patients... they love him for the personal care provided

He gets one star because I can't review with a lower rating. I don't want to go into specifics, but my father's experience with this man left us scrambling to find someone qualified to fix the mistakes he made. I would strongly suggest Dr. Timothy Bowlin as an orthopedic surgeon in Baton Rouge.

Dr. Knatt did the surgerical repair to repair my 82 year old dad's hip fracture (rod placed to connect upper femur to ball joint). Dr. Knatt has excellent bedside manner to communicate with my elderly parents and faintly members. He was very professional, clear, and concise in answering all of our questions too. He also provided very clear explanation of what the procedure entailed. Dad had a ton of health issues. Dr. Knatt was very confident in handling all areas of this surgery and repair.
