Dr. Terry Anne Vaughan

Dr. Vaughn is very easy to talk to and is a good listener. She cares about what I have to say and about how I feel. She is open to my suggestions and is willing to discuss them and how they might help or hinder my therapy. She is excellent with medications and has helped me get on a medication regimen that finally works for me. She is a Godsend! I highly recommend her to everyone!

I've seen Dr. Vaughn for over 3 months now. What I really like best about Dr. Vaughn is her level of attentiveness, being on time with appointments (she doesn't run behind schedule like almost all other doctors), and her accuracy in prescribing. Dr. Vaughan and her staff are just awesome. After moving to Show Low I still make the trip every two months to see her versus finding someone in Show Low.

Dr Vaughan is very understanding, takes time with you and is excellent with medication. I have been blessed to have her as my psychiatrist. Since seeing her I have had very few problems. I recommend her if you are searching for a good psychiatrist in Prescott.

She put me on gabapentin, with out letting me know the serious withdrawal symptoms of the medication. She then cut me off the medication leaving me to go through the most terrible withdrawal symptoms I have ever experienced with any medication.

Terry Vaughan, M.D., is a consummate professional. She is compassionate & adept @ active listening. Yet she doesn't hold back from strongly advising you to take your medications or seek additional care should you need it. The environment when you walk in the waiting room is pleasant, quiet & full of worthwhile magazines to read. You are greeted by Deanna, an effervescent, knowledgeable, skilled medical assistant. She is the only health professional who ever told me the side-effects of low blood pressure (bp), which I have always had. Her warning & foresight helped me to seek ER help two days later because I was suffering from symptoms of low bp. From signing in to paying & re-scheduling on your way out, you are treated by a group of professionals who have your back, front & everywhere in between. There's a relaxed area with an over-sized chair to take your blood pressure. When leaving, there's a privacy door from the waiting room where you can pay your bill and reschedule. Julia Summers, Ph.D., who also shares an office in the building complex, is an exceptionally-gifted counselor. Her capacity to listen and offer different perspectives on how someone else may have felt, reacted or responded is powerful. Furthermore, she takes a practical approach and offers relevant worksheets and activities to be completed at home. She gently prods & leads you to a better understanding of yourself and others. If you are there on the right day, you’ll be pleased to see a well-behaved, compassionate assistive-dog who aids Julia in therapy.
