Mrs. Tama Lynn Syrop

I was truly hoping to make Dr Syrop my new primary care doctor, however North Atlanta Primary Care has been quite difficult and unorganized to work with. My first and only appointment with Dr. Syrop went well despite the amount of time I was in-office (nearly 2 hours). It took quite a while to check me in and get me seen. Dr. Syrop was very thorough and seemed genuinely concerned about my issues, so I was looking forward to seeing her again. I came into the office twice this week, both times with issues and ultimately unable to see Dr. Syrop. Today, despite arriving early, no one was at the front desk to check me in. I signed my name in, and waited for 10-15 minutes as other people were signed in and called to the back. Upon going to the front desk, not only had I not been checked in well after my appointment time, but they also scheduled me to see a completely different doctor despite me being adamant about seeing Dr. Syrop when I had to reschedule earlier this week. Additionally, they claim that they are having issues verifying that my insurance is active. It’s the same insurance. Nothing has changed since I saw Dr. Syrop a few months prior. I spent more time on the phone with my insurance confirming that I AM active and trying to get a hold of someone at North Atlanta Primary Care to confirm this with them. My insurance is active. This should never have been an issue, and you certainly could have offered to call and verify on the spot rather than going back and forth wondering why there was a problem. This experience has been far too unorganized for someone who is chronically ill and genuinely doing everything in her power to get help. I’ve seen every type of doctor and have been having to balance multiple doctors appointments with work. So once again I am forced to find a new primary care provider. The lack of help that we are receiving from medical professionals is extremely discouraging. Please, please do better. People are literally fighting for their lives out here. We need more support, knowledge, and professionalism from the people we are supposed to trust.

She has no interpersonal skills or bedside manner. Stares at her computer and barely makes eye contact. No physical exam ever done, just vitals from a nurse. I am a MD surgeon and am thoroughly disappointed in her ability to practice medicine in the year 2021. I will not be going back and I will not recommend any of my patients see her.

Did not listen to my concerns even though I insisted for help. I asked several times for a simple check and assistance during visit and she continuously disregarded me and my concerns. Didn’t even had the courtesy to get up and check me.

Worst “doctor” I’ve ever been to. Extremely condescending, rude, disrespectful. She does not listen. She spent her time bragging about her vacations to Hilton Head instead of listening to me and my concerns. I’m a pharmacist and she spoke to me about medications like I was an idiot. I just laughed in her face and walked out. Seriously. I hope she gets her license revoked. I’m more than certain she has caused patient harm somehow. If you have been harmed, please report her to the Board or find a malpractice attorney. She needs to be shut down. An absolute disgrace to other healthcare professionals.

I was seeing Dr. Syrop for a few years and she always made me feel like I was inconveniencing her. It doesn't help that the NAPC office as a whole is incompetent and their billing department will file fraudulent claims.

Horrible, horrible, horrible!! I saw her when my primary doctor was out of town. The worst bedside manner of any doctor I have ever known. I agree with earlier post how she stares at computer, barely acknowledged my presence. When she did interact with me, she was condescending and arrogant. I called NAPC and told them I never wanted to see her again. I would have given her 0 stars, but this site wouldn't let me.

Dr. Syrop did not seem to listen to what I was saying, including multiple contradictory statements in my notes than what I told her. I don't know if it was a lack of attention to detail or what exactly, but I will not be returning to her. BAD DOCTOR - BEAWARE...She is not willing to listen to patients for more than 10mins. She is one for those doctors who wants to collect a paycheck with minimal work. It's absolutely disappointing and concerning.

Dr. Syrop is great! She really listens, and she gives honest medical advice and opinions.

Dr. Syrop is very thorough, asks the right questions and gives recommendations that have proven to be the best for me. Very knowledgeable and professional; I'm most appreciative of her care.

Just started there. Nice people. Efficient. Friendly. Dr. Tama Syrop is wonderful to work with.

Was forced to see her. Will hopefully never see her again. Condescending, rude, absolutely better suited to a field not working with people. Spoke disparagingly of two other doctors I see who are of good reputation. After reading other reviews of Syrop, I realize it’s not just me being under the weather...she really is to be avoided.

She gets one star from me also. Cold fish.

I had my first visit with Dr. Syrop, and found that she was very professional, caring, and thorough. I don't think I was there for too long, but I felt like we extensively covered everything I came to see her about, and she handled some issues I was nervous to discuss with great sensitivity. I'll definitely be going back.

Had 1 visit with her. She's not very personable. Won't be returning.

Dr Syrop is an uncaring DR about to charge you as much as possible. She refused to make any corrections to billing after many attempts. She pretends to care, but it's all about the $$$. I scheduled a Well Visit which should have been free to me. She insisted to bill me for a Dr's visit and wanted me to return for my well visit. This is after waiting a month to get a Well Visit appointment. Never going back.

One the worst doctor in Atlanta. The whole time she was busy looking at her computer. Her notes aremail unclear and missing my actual visit reasoning. Don't waste your time visiting this so called "Doctor"

I have been seeing Dr. Tijura since last summer. I am saddened to learn he has moved to he Kennesaw location. Since I needed Rx refills I had to make an appointment with Dr. Tama Lynn Syrop this morning. I had an 8:15 appointment. I left my home in Chamblee at 7:30 to allow for traffic and rain delays. I have been a patient of Dr. Syrop for several years and always find her to be very attentive and careful in her diagnosis of my problems and shows compassion and concern for my well-being. Physicians have the hard job of giving you the answers about your health that you need to hear & not always the answers you want to hear, although there are many out there that will do just the opposite. If you want honest feedback on where you stand with your health she will certainly council you well

DO NOT SEE THIS PERSON! I wont even call her a doctor. She seemed far to busy typing into her laptop then actually listening to anything I was saying. She barely looked in my direction and when all was said and done she did absolutely NOTHING to help my current situation. She checked me with a stethoscope (congratulations) and left the room without a goodbye or even a handshake. They still got paid though! Also her "clinical summary" was extremely inaccurate. I made a complaint to management!
