My surgery went well and it corrected my vision

I recently had a cataract laser operation done by Dr. Raviv and I am more than happy to sing his and his team?s praises. The entire process, from the first evaluation meeting through the operation itself and the post-operation checkups, has been extremely professional, pleasant, smooth and fast. Dr. Raviv and his team made me feel that I am in good hands throughout the process and I was not concerned or afraid at any moment. The results are amazing (really a miracle) and I cannot believe how quickly I was able to see perfectly, with no need for any glasses, and almost no recovery period and no side effects. Outstanding process & results

I was an extremely anxious patient with several eye issues. It took three years of appointments with Dr. Raviv to finally get the courage to have cataract surgery. I was walking into glass doors and unable to see signs on the highway...but still stalling. I finally came to trust Dr. Raviv and Dr. Sherman (a total gift in his office) and had laser surgery in both eyes two weeks apart. The entire staff answered every question, were available when needed, understood and never judged. The uptown surgical center is very well run. I found the center to be much less formal than a hospital but just as professional. The surgeries were on time, Dr. Raviv knows everything that is going on, and he treats each patient there with great respect. He's a true wealth of information and a doctor patients can put their faith in. I am healing very well and that's because Dr. Raviv does wonderful work.

Went to dr Raviv for a second opinion about an issue I was having after cataract surgery. He recommended I see a surgeon that specializes in IOL exchange. This led me down the path of an unnecessary operation from an arrogant overconfident surgeon who wasnt as good as Dr Raviv thought he was. After seeing other specialists since, I have learned the my problem was minor and not in need of an operatio. I regret ever going to Dr Raviv. He should have known better.

I am only 56 but needed cataract surgery. I was a difficult case due to my severe myopia (13.75 in both eyes) and substantial astigmatism in one eye. I had seen another doctor who told me that I probably wouldn't be happy with the outcome and I should put the surgery off for a few years. Dr. Raviv assured me that he had tons of experience operating on difficult cases like mine and that I would have a successful outcome. My ophthalmologist, whom I completely trust, recommended both the surgery and Dr. Raviv so I went forward with him. The surgery and recovery were quick and painless and I now have 20/20 vision and only have to occasionally wear reading glasses or contacts for distance activities like driving or theater. It is a real miracle to not have to put glasses on the second I get out of bed. Dr. Raviv was kind and patient in answering my questions and is undoubtedly an expert in his field. If you can afford it, do the laser (not covered by insurance) as it speeds up the recovery.

Dr. Raviv is an exceptional cataract specialist who treats patients with respect and care. The first time I saw him, I knew right away that I'm in good hands. He diagnosed my problem with efficiency and accuracy, and operated on my eye successfully. I can see so much better now even though I have a retina problem! I will surely recommend him to my friends and family. And I will definitely turn to him again if I need a cataract surgery on my other eye in the future. Dr. Raviv is the best!

My cataract surgery was performed with care and diligence. The results were all that I had wanted.

Dr. Raviv was very thorough, patient, and answered all of my questions. I did not feel rushed. He recommended Vivity EDOF (Extended Depth Of Field) Toric (for astigmatism) lens based on the specific peculiarities of my eyes. This lens would correct my far and intermediate vision as well as my astigmatism. But, to my surprise, right after surgery, I not only could see very clearly far and intermediate, I actually was also able to read without glasses. This was totally unexpected. I only need readers for very very small print. I am able to look at my iPad and laptop without any glasses. He is a very warm and caring doctor. I decided to schedule the second eye for two weeks later. Again, I had a very positive result with my second eye. Dr. Raviv performs laser surgery at the Retina Ambulatory Surgical Center on E. 80th St. He also performs laser surgery at New York Eye and Ear on E14th St. Dr. Raviv specializes in, and only performs, cataract and refractive surgery.

Dr. Tal Raviv is a super surgeon. Had cataract surgery on both eyes - February and July 2020 with a multifocal IOL implant in both my eyes to correct my high myopia, astigmatism and reading problem. My outcome after surgery was much better than I could have anticipated,. I have worn glasses and contracts my entire life 55+ years up until this year. Now I am eyeglass and contact free! I cannot say enough on what a highly experienced surgeon Dr. Raviv is and how professional the entire staff at the Eye Center of New York is.

I was seeing Dr Raviv for about a year. Recently I called to make an appointment and they informed me I can no longer see Dr Raviv because he is only seeing cataract patients. This was with no warning whatsoever. I have a serious eye condition in general. This time a part of my eye was in a place where it should not be.. albeit outside of the eye socket. No joke. They offered me an appt with an optometrist, no way. The other MD would be a 4 week wait. So here I am with a serious issue and long history to go find a different doctor to trust with my eyes during an emergency. Unprofessional. Not to mention they said my eye drops were not covered and they tried to do a prior authorization. I called my insurance, the office did not even call my insurance company or submit anything about a PA. There were 4 alternatives they could switch it to. My new eye doctor is fabulous & come to find Dr Raviv has not been treating me properly, so I guess a blessing in disguise.

I put off the second eye for 8 years due to consequences of the first surgery by a well known Park Avenue specialist. Once I tripped last January, I knew it was time...I was recommended by another surgeon to use Dr. Raviv. He was incredible. I have near 20-20 with no reactions whatsoever. It was seamless, he is quiet and expert and simply put..the best there is!

Was comfortable with the initial visit ,diagnoses and recommended treatment. Extremely satisfied with the outcome of the surgery and would recommend Dr. Ravi for anyone needing cataract surgery. Plan on returning if second eye requires treatment.

I had numerous consults for my cataract surgery before choosing Dr. Raviv to perform my procedure. His office was run efficiently and I was treated respectfully by his staff. I finally realized I needed cataract surgery when I was wearing 2 pairs of over the counters at the same time (ridiculous) and since I am a eprofessional performer it just wasn't attractive or practical when on stage reading music. So I proceeded with the refractive multifocal Near & Far package and only 10s after my first eye and 3 days after my second eye surgery my vision is amazing. I am typing this without wearing any glasses...haven't done that since I can't remember when.
