Took his time to relate to me in great detail all aspects of my recent surgery and post surgery. He is articulate, friendly, and has a good sense of humor. He is an excellent surgeon and I am grateful to have been his patient. I highly recommend Dr. Raphaeli.

I hate to give a mediocre review to a Dr that has done so well now for 5 years. Apparently the word is out & now his office is too busy to return phone calls for 3 business days & I have had to make the tough decision to look elsewhere for a colonoscopy. Dr Raphaeli himself has in the past had great beside manner & will be missed, but I cannot trust my health to an office staff that cannot get back with their patients. Excellent experience. Dr. Raphaeli & his Staff are EXCELLENT! One suggestion. When one is required to fill out new patient paperwork they should be advised when the appointment is made and then be given the option to have said paperwork mailed to them so they can complete at home where all of their records and information is at. Dr. Raphaeli took his time at our initial appointment and explained the causes and concerns with my hernia and the mesh repair implant surgery that he recommended. He answered all my questions and made sure that I had a full understanding of the procedure and recovery process. For the surgery we chose Houston Methodist Willowbrook and he and the staff at the hospital took excellent care of me both pre and post op. He and his staff offer the best care I could ask for I highly recommend Dr. Raphaeli.

Great Doctor, he talks to you and explains what is real going on with you.

Dr. Khawaja Azimuddin is very unprofessional. Dr. Khawaja Azimuddin told me I was just a number in the line of surgeries that he had scheduled. I would not recommend this doctor to anyone.

I first sought out Dr. Tal in 2017 he has always been very knowledgeable and reliable. My only issue with my recent visit is I arrived 30 minutes before my appointment time because I anticipated paperwork would need to be completed and stood at the reception desk for 15 minutes before I was acknowledged.

Dr. Tal was professional, made a quick diagnosis, gave me literature on my problem and a prescription sample. He wrote a prescription and I was on my way. They took me at my appointment time.

I went in 1 week ago and have called every day since trying to get the office to do my prior authorization so I can pick up my prescription. They blame the doctor for not doing it then told me they were calling the insurance company right then but didn’t. Walgreens has sent it over 3 times still nothing. Today I asked if the doctor knew about this taking a week and was told yes he knows! Now I’m having to see another doctor tomorrow to get the same prescription all because his office staff refuses to do their job!

Rushed, unprofessional. I was in the lobby almost double the time of my consultation (not including paperwork). I was told one cost over the phone, which then got more expensive by the time of check out, without reason. Then after the initial transaction had been processed the lady then said “oh he entered a code in the system that I didn’t charge for”, when I asked for what, she said it was because he MENTIONED surgery. Then she had me charged a 2nd time for MORE money because of our conversation! On top of that, I ALREADY KNEW that I’d be needing a procedure from my GP! Anyways so I scheduled my procedure for almost a month out and had to take time off from my job, had to have my mother take time off from hers to bring me home, and have been anxiously waiting… only for them to call me LESS than a week from my appt letting me know it’s been rescheduled to a date which I’m not available nor do I have the PTO to take off. Simply because “the doctor had something come up”. What a waste.

I had my appointment scheduled for 2 weeks in advance and was left a message the day before my appointment telling me that they did not accept my insurance. This was after I had already received 5 notifications by email reminding me of that appointment. I don’t care how good the doctors are, I will always refer people to someone else. Wasted my money, talked about my biggest issue and insecurity as a human, wasted $100 in MARCH and was supposed to be scheduled for surgery in April/May. I followed up a multitude of times with Veronica and their new scheduler since apparently Veronica disappeared although she never answered the phone or returned calls anyway. Guess who wasted money and still never had surgery or received a call back? It’s now June. Left 4+ voicemails over a week, on top of calling every day for weeks. They NEVER ONCE answered the phone, are all rude and unprofessional, and I’m reporting to BBB as well as getting my money back. Beware of these people. UPDATE: this guy tried to call me FOR THE FIRST TIME the day after I left this review. What a joke!! Don’t go here and read the reviews about their service/care. Dr. Tal Raphaeli was the best for my procedure. I literally haven't felt like this since I was a teenager. I truly thank Dr. Raphaeli for getting me back to normal. I would definitely refer him to anyone.

DR. Raphaeli was very professional and thorough. He explained my procedure in detail, what to expect during surgery, length of recovery, and how to alleviate pain post-surgery. All scheduled appointments were prompt, no waiting around. I would definitely recommend his practice to anyone.

Dr. Raphaeli told me more info than anyone else had before pertaining to my physical situation. He had a plan for positive results and is helping me attain those results. I highly recommend this doctor!!!

Dr Ron stepped up and order gall bladder removal after another doctor said he wanted to do as outpatient; even though I was in Hospital. Removal scheduled next day. As I was to big to fit in CAT Scan he said he could check bile ducts once he was inside gall bladder, Removed gall bladder and resolved my problems. went back for follow up and all was great. You can barely see the 3 incisions he made for the surgery. Great Doctor, kept me totally informed, Did exactly what he said and feel great. I only gave it two stars because they were very nice. That's all that I liked. I was not told how horrible my "optional" procedure would be, or I wouldn't have chosen to do it. I was given Tylenol to take on my way out but the pain was so intense about twenty minutes later that I would've done ANYTHING for something stronger. I was given NO paperwork to take home (strange for a doctor's office, stranger for having a procedure done) informing me of what to expect, what to do, what not to do, signs to look for indicating problems. I ended up trying to Google all these things and managed to find some information luckily. 3 days later and I'm still in pain and I have no idea if that's normal because I wasn't given any information other than "take some Tylenol or ice it if you need to". Thanks a lot... I don't recommend going somewhere that leaves the patient so in the dark about something like this. I only gave it two stars because they were very nice. That's all that I liked. Every appointment they were minimum 45 mins to an hour wait. This is just to go back to 2nd waiting room to see the doctor. Be prepared to wait a minimum of an hour to hour and a half to just see the doctor. Doctor has a good bedside manner and know what he doing as a doctor. Office staff are friendly but they book too many people at one time and they have no problem having you wait. I brought this to the doctors attention and nothing has changed. I have seen no changes at all to correct their wasting of our time. Sitting in the wait in room I got to hear other patients complain about experiencing the same problem of excessive waiting times. I arrived at the hospital early as directed and got to wait for 4 hours before finally going back. I never saw the doctor, surgeon, or anthologist again. Not impressed with lack of follow up. My husband saw Dr. Raphaeli today after seeing 3 other colorectal doctors. He is by far the best! He listened well and reviewed CT Scan and colonoscopy reports. He recommended a treatment plan. We like his demeanor and the way he talked to us in plain language. He was on time for a 3pm appointment which is unusual for a specialist. His staff were friendly and courteous. Dr. Raphaeli is incredible surgeon who truly cares about his patients. My surgery was 5 hours long and he was completely successful. I am forever thankful and grateful and trust my next surgery with him will go as well. I can’t say enough good things about him.

I went in there scared of what he may say about my situation but he explained everything in laymen's terms, easy to understand. I was very impressed. I will continue to use and recommend him and this office.

When I called I was told the doctor is only there one day a week now. I was never notified. I was told I had an appointment with his associate that was scheduled for 25 days later. No apologies. I was very pleased with the care I received from Dr Raphaeli. He is caring and concerned with comfort and complete recovery. He answered my phone call quickly post surgically and helped me with my question, not via a nurse or other office staff. I have been healing well and faster than I anticipated due to his surgical skill. Thank you Dr Raphaeli!!!

Post op 11 weeks doing better, going back in 6 weeks for a check up and hopefully all healed.

Dr. Raphaeli did an awesome job repairing my perforated ulcer. He was very caring and thorough, and even after surgery, in my post op visit, made sure to make me feel comfortable and answered all of my questions and concerns. I would recommend him with no doubts or reservations!

After being in pain for months & seeing 2 other doctors. Dr. Raphaeli actually took the time to exam me. He was very patient, nice and took his time. He gave me different options and told me exactly what I had. I am so glad that I found him. His office staff at the Chasewood location is very nice.

"All I had is Medicare" My husband said "And they treated me like a prince." We were having a crisis. My husband was passing large blood clots and bleeding a lot from his rectum. We had been told there was "something" in his colon on the CAT scan and were scared to death. They went above and beyond to do everything they could. He's an old crippled guy, on Medicare. They treated him like a VIP. We had a great experience with the office staff - who took the time to explain everything, and Dr Raphaeli. Dr. R looked at our records and scheduled my husband for a prompt colonoscopy. Since we are non-driving due to disability he took pains to make sure it would happen locally so we wouldn't have transportation difficulties. The procedure was fast, the results good (no cancer!). We have a proper diagnosis and a treatment plan. Houston Colon and Rectal, and Dr R, went above and beyond to serve both of us, and for that they have my undying gratitude.
