You hope to never need an oncologist, but if you do, then Dr. Vukelja (or Dr. V as most of us call her) is the one you want fighting with you! She will guide you compassionately through your options and provide encouragement and comfort all throughout your treatment. Getting a cancer diagnosis is terrifying - and I chose the most recommended doctor for her excellence in breast cancer treatment. Not only did I get the best doctor, I got the best PERSON to see me through.

Love Dr. V. She cares about each of her patients. I'm always comforted by her care and thoughtfulness. She's the best there is. Hands down.

I have told anyone that would listen that If and when you are diagnosed that you should choose Dr. Vukelja as your Oncologist. She is amazing, kind and knows what she is doing! She is very thorough and pays attention to what is going on as you go through your treatments. While under her care she discovered that I had a second type of cancer. I would not be alive if it werent for her !!!

Dr. Vukelja is an outstanding physician. Her knowledge and skills surpassed my expectations. I believe she used the tools to save my life and encouraged me to live my best life afterwards. I most certainly would recommend her to anyone needing her as their physician. I actually have given many her name and my thoughts on her.

Routine 6 month visit

Absolutely. I first saw Dr. V in 2008 when I was diagnosed with breast cancer. She saw me through surgery, chemo and radiation. I had a lumpectomy in the other breast in 2018. I have been seeing her every 6 months while I take Tamoxifen. She has been a pleasure and a blessing to me.

I love Dr. Vukelja!! I always look forward to my checkups! She is the most compassionate doctor I have ever known! She’s extremely intelligent and chose the right path for my treatment ten years ago this June. I owe her my life!!! I highly recommend her!!!

As usual, she was amazing. She always takes the time to find out what is going on with you. I was excited when she told me I will be able to discontinue my cancer meds at our next visit!! She has been there for me the entire time the last five years. I like that she will pray with me (and for me) at the end of our visit.

I would definitely recommend Dr. Vukelja. She is very thorough when checking my surgery site, lymph nodes and lungs, etc. She is also very friendly and has a great personality. She listens carefully to all my concerns and follows up with explanations, advice, prescription and/or tests. She goes above and beyond. She goes over my blood tests with me and explains each result. It's obvious that Dr. Vukelja is a very caring person and loves her job. She even takes the time to say a prayer for me if I wish! I feel at ease in her company and not rushed through my appointment and feel fortunate that she is my Oncology doctor.

I have seen Dr. Vekujla every six months, after a successful lumpectomy, June 2017. Due to my Stage 0 diagnosis, she only subscribed oral medication. After an unsuccessful attempt with one medication, we agreed on an every other day regiment of Tamoxifen. A year later, I was able to tolerate daily dosing and continue with it. Dr. V is a really caring doctor; she makes me feel important even though I had a easy recovery with no chemo os radiation. She does a physical exam of my breasts every visit, along with blood labs. I am now down to a yearly mammogram and ultra sound as I have dense breast tissue. I am blessed to receive such care.

Dr. Vukelja is an awesome doctor! She is very caring and compassionate. She listens to you and addresses your concerns and fears about cancer. I have never never felt like I was rushed in and out in the five years I've been her patient. Definitely a 5 star doctor!

Dr V is the best..been with her for 8 1/2 years..she is straight forward and tells u how it is..does not hide anything...I always get a hug when done and she lets u know she cares...couple weeks ago was one of my best..we discussed past issues a plan of when I hit my 10 year mark..I love her as a Dr and a friend!! She also said a long prayer with me ...she is the BEST!!

It was great to have Dr V for 2l years with both of my breast cancers. Will always remember her loving care for me throughout the years. And when she released me recently for good I had a deep feeling about that. And it was interesting to read about her childhood life. Yvette Schaded

Dr. V was my father in laws doctor. He loved her and as much as you can look forward to a doctor visit he did. He knew he did not have much time as did she but she made him so comfortable and let him talk to her when he needed to. She was kind and cared very much for his well being. I would highly recommend her for her professionalism and knowledge. She is such a professional!

My sister in law was very sick. Dr. V listened carefully to everything she said. Their journey together has been amazing and after many treatments and surgery she is in remission. She loves her doctor. She knows that she is up to the minute with treatment but also knows she loves her as a person. She trusts her totally knowing that she recommends the highest level of care. She is the best in our families opinion. Call her!!

I have never felt more comfortable with a doctor in my life. Not only does Dr. V know cancer and how to fight it she is a GOOD person! She has a heart for giving back to the community like none other. She is thorough with all exams. She found my second cancer(colon)shortly after my treatment for breast cancer. I am cancer free and owe it to her attention to detail and attention to me as her patient. I cannot say enough about her and her genuine concern for me and my recovery. No one wants to have cancer but if you do Dr. V is one who will take care of you 100%. NO DOUBT

EXCEPTIONAL knowledge, background, skills, dogged determination, success-minded, CAN-DO attitude. She FIGHTS FOR HER PATIENTS, and that's an UNDERSTATEMENT. Dr. V. is remarkable... She is brilliant and thorough, wise and caring. She took all the time I needed to answer my questions, explain the results of my tests, and give me advice on the best treatments to proceed. She is extremely well-respected throughout the area and has a heart for healing.

Best!?!? She told my friend she did not have cancer. A few weeks later, my friend was diagnosed with Stage IV pancreatic cancer. I goggled her symptoms (don't always believe google) but pancreatic cancer popped up. I'm beyond shocked and devastated that this is an actual oncologist with access to all lab work and couldn't diagnose Stage IV pancreatic cancer! Nice office staff though.

Exam was thorough, and her medical care appeared good. My compliments end there, however. I felt she was insensitive and unconcerned with bedside manner. Decided not to see her again. Had the impression that fame has gone to her head. Unfortunate, because medically she impressed me well. No trouble with the radiation oncologist, surgeon, techs, nurses, case manager, or business office. She told me I would have to find a medical oncologist outside of her group.. Having records faxed to him.

She was awesome. Her bed side manner was great. She was so honest and helpful. She gave us all options and encouraged the patient to vocalize their treatment desires. I would highly recommend her.

Dr. V is an awesome doctor. She is honest, caring, and very professional. My first appointment with Dr. V all my family attended the appointment and all immediately fell in love with her. When crossing my oncologist I am so glad God led me to Dr. V. I have recommended to other friends who were diagnosed with breast cancer and they all have been very glad I told them about her.
