Dr. Jonsson is a great doc! I find that he listens, knows his stuff, has a pleasant demeanor, and unlike some docs understands nutrition and lifestyle and its impact on health.

Doesn’t rush you through. Listens and wants to help. Let’s you know what you can do to help yourself, without pushing meds, But if you want meds he will give them to you. I prefer to try to fix myself. I believe food is medicine also.

I started going to Dr Jonsson in 2020. He treated me for early Covid with IVM. Now, he has decided he was all wrong when he gave me excellent early treatment (and recovered), so I guess he didn't know what he was doing then. I am sad to say that this once great Dr who did what he knew was right now "follows the Govt mandates" on treatment (actually, no treatment is the treatment) and apparently expects people to go home with Covid and suffer until they may end up at the hospital.

It took me only a few visits to this doctor to discover that he is just another fast talking charlatan. Notice how he has received only great reviews...it appears that the negative reviews are all screened out. On my last visit with jonsson I was charged for a physical & for a follow-up visit. The man is a charlatan.

This review is based on my experience with Dr jonsson after several office visits. Intially appears very friendly & knowledgeable. One visit I asked about his view on the use of Ivermectin & Hydroxychloroquine. His response was that they didn't work, but that he had a nasal spray that would "knock covid right out." Sent me home with a bottle, which burned my nasal passages. I later called to cancel an upcoming follow-up visit because it was unneeded. Requested instead to schedule for a annual physical, which my insurance company pays for. It was scheduled for 2 weeks later. I later got a bill for a part of the "free" physical, AND a bill for a follow-up visit- the one I had cancelled. Called the office & was told they could also charge me for a "follow-up visit" because during the physical checkup he had asked me about my bp, etc. This Dr appears to be very deceptive & money hungry. He has subsequently refused to respond to pharmacy requests to verify refills for my bp meds- which he prescribed, even though the prescription allows for refills thru 2022. My advise would be to avoid this Charlatan and seek medical assistance elsewhere.

Seems to be only in it for the money. Canceled an unnecessary follow-up appointment & instead inquired about getting an annual physical checkup at a later date. They immediately scheduled me for the checkup two weeks later. A few weeks after the annual checkup, which is supposed to be paid for by insurance company, I received a bill from their office for a portion of the physical, as well as a bill for a follow-up visit. Called their office & was told that since Dr. had also asked me some questions that were supposedly relevant to a previous visit, he could also charge me for a simultaneous follow visit. He has subsequently refused to approve refills of my BP mess he had previously prescribed in retaliation. Appears to be all about the $$!

Dr. Jonsson and his staff are very caring and always try to provide the best care possible for me.I like the fact that Dr. Jonsson encourages a plant-based diet because I think that's the best way to stay as healthy as possible.He also advises me to do different tests I should have for my age and lab work.

I read the reviews and knew Dr. Jonsson was a doctor I wanted to see because of his belief in the power of a whole food plant based diet. However, I also understood how people think this is such a radical diet because it is so different from the SAD (Standard American Diet) diet. Most people would rather take a pill (a statin for cholesterol) and not change their diet and although I get it, I don't believe in taking a pill to fix something I can change with my diet. A diet rich in vegetables, fruits, whole grains, nuts, and seeds is powerful but takes time to get used to if you're eating meat, poultry, dairy, fast, and processed foods. Best advice: make the change gradually (milk and cheese were hard for me to give up). Made an appointment for a wellness visit with Dr. Jonsson and had blood work done. I am a 60-year old active female who was primarily a vegetarian for decades but following the WFPB diet for the past 10 years. Blood work confirmed I didn't need any meds.

I am impressed by the degree of excellence in the practice of medicine. He gave a thorough physical exam at my first visit. We both believe in the patient, being involved in their wellness. I endorse his emphasis on nutrition, as a key to wellness. We communicate well. I sense he cares about my well being.

The doctor was pleasant but like so many of them I feel he did not listen when I spoke of my concerns. When I called his office on two occasions to ask questions about my visit no one ever returned my call. I never got any answers so the appointment was a waste of time

The staff is genuine in their concerns about your health as well as your life. Dr. Jonsson is uniquely generous with his time and is not quick to push medications just because that is the profit approach to medicine. I am grateful for his bringing to my attention ways to improve the quality of my life with lifestyle changes I never before considered. He has identified some medications which I have been on unnecessarily for years. Thanks to Dr. Jonsson and his fine staff.

Do not appreciate hearing about the vegan diet on every visit to this office. Dr Jonsson is ok but a bit scattered and not thorough. His medical assistant, E. interrupts, doesn't listen, and talks over whatever the pt is trying to say. Borderline rude. Changing drs because of this.

Dr. Jonsson took the time needed during my visit. I believe he is very thorough, knowledgable and doesn't subscribe to the typical regime of putting a patient on one of the many Big Pharma drug protocols, which really only manage the symptoms. He instead, recommends a natural, diet-based approach, which actually works by treating the cause and not the symptom.

He has compassion for his patients as well as Knowledge and Skills

I was very impressed with Dr. Jonsson and have already recommended him to friends who have made an appt. My husband has also made an appt. We prefer to take care our health with the integrative approach. He is very well informed and kind and patient. He was right on time and I really appreciate that.

Some reviewers have complained of Dr. Jonsson's advocacy of the "Forks Over Knives" whole foods, plant-based approach, which is a *natural* and *proactive* means to address certain health issues. While I don't agree with every specific of this regimen, based on my own research regarding my personal health issues, Dr. Jonsson's holistic approach is sound. His advocacy of this regimen aside, I've founf him to be a very caring and competent physician.

Dr. Jonson seems to be obsessed with his plant-based diet and really doesn't do much else.

He's a nice man but tried to shove his extreme eating plan- plant based diet only-down my throat! He gives patients "homework" on the first visit and you must watch a documentary (NetFlix Forks over Knives) as well as order a book. This is like a 'religion' - he's very adement and believes his way is the only way. I found this to be condescending. He is a nice man but overbearing in his vegan beliefs.

Dr. Jonsson ordered many blood tests not covered under a wellness checkup resulting in a $600 bill from Park Ridge Health. After many calls to the office, the lab @ PRH, my insurance and repeat, I am still trying to get Dr. Jonsson to 'add the codes' that would give the reasons why he ordered the tests. Sounds easy right? But no, it's over a year and still no results.

Dr. Jonsson listened to my suggestions and we followed a course of action that I brought in. Bringing experience from Europe and Africa, he really tries to treat the causes and not the symptoms as naturally as possible. I moved away, but am moving back. If he is there, he will be my doctor again.

Somewhat nice doctor, but sadly it's all that was positive about the experience. Refused to help me at all. Wouldn't give me a needed referral or treat the condition himself. Waste of a week getting an appointment.

I have NOTHING positive to say about this experience. I would describe it as sneaky, manipulative and unprofessional. I went in to see Dr. Jonsson for a check-up (covered fully by insurance). He examined me, completed routine blood work and asked questions. I answered his questions and received NO TREATMENT for any issues. I was charged $170 (not covered by insurance) and was told by the office that it was b/c I mentioned getting nauseous when I don't eat breakfast. SERIOUSLY?!?!
