Dr. Leidig is caring and listens to my concerns. She is willing to consider medication changes, should they be needed. Arlene had been helpful with any other questions or scheduling needs. The front desk has been pleasant upon my arrival and departure.

Good luck getting a call through to anyone at the behavioral health hospital. Expect to leave a message, while the whole staff chases upset patients, even the office staff. Even Dr. Leidig doesn't see the hypocrisy, when she can't get a hold of you. Dr. Leidig is very attentive and cooperative, especially at first. But, don't expect her to take your confidentiality as serious as she should. We were talking about my interests and I mentioned mentioned that I watch current events closely. I also said that my political views were not mainstream. She informed me that they wanted such things reported to them. HIPPA stipulates that law enforcement, etc. may demand health records as part of an investigation. But, all Dr. Leidig knows is what I said above. And, that I don't listen to or watch network news. All of these things are innocuous. I won't drive more than 5 mph above the speed limit. I am a law abiding citizen. Regarding the phone calls, Penn State Health has "merged" with Geisinger who probably keeps a skeleton crew at Geisinger. It's what monopolous corporations do with their conquests. The staff at Geisinger are probably doing their best with the personnel they have. But, I see no reason to report political leanings to anyone, especially if they aren't really known. You would be wise to keep personal matters away from Dr. Leidig. She doesn't have to have that information to treat you.
