Horrible experience. Staff and nurses seemed to care very little about their patients and even laughed in my face when I had a question. Dr Trupin saw me for unusual pain and bleeding. During her evaluation, she quickly inserted the speculum without any warning or consent ,which was very unsettling and made me extremely uncomfortable. Afterwards she noted that nothing seemed unusual and asked if I had a history of hypochondria. She did however seem to care very much that I was 10 pounds overweight and that I wasn’t in a healthy weight range to get pregnant when I explicitly said I didn’t want children. She also recommended that I visit her yoga studio to help me loose those pesky extra pounds. Afterwards I sat in my car and cried. I felt disrespected, so ignored and still without an answer to the pain I was experiencing. A week later I was charged an $80 bill for a pap that I never received results for and when I called they said they had no record of it. Do what you will with my story but I tell anyone who is looking for an OBGYN to avoid this office specifically.

Dr. Trupin is very upbeat & personable as well as knowledgeable & professional. Worth waiting for if you experience a wait time. Never felt pushed to have any test or procedure and appreciated all the information she offered for me to make my own health choices. Thank you, Dr. Trupin!

Dr Trupin is fantastic. The care I receive is always excellent, safe, comprehensive and current. The staff take the time to make sure everything has been covered. Women, we are lucky to have this service that is women-centric available.

Waste of your time. She doesn't take the time to review people's results or even have capacity to interpret them and give you the right treatment. Do not go there.

Front end office has made a change in personnel and it is running so smooth smiles on faces people are polite they enjoy their jobs everybody is working well together I can’t begin to say enough now it is so nice to come in there and see everyone and the doctors and the nurses kudos to you!!! Yes,,,,finally nailed it.

Great doctor. She spent more time with me explaining how my treatments had an effect on my health and in coordinating my care than any other doctor in this community. There is no way I would ever consider another women’s health doctor.

I have been a patient of Dr. Trupin for probably 25 years, maybe longer. I would highly recommend her to anyone. I have always found that she (and her staff) have taken the time to talk about what ever health issues I want to talk about, not just the routine annual exam or primary reason for my visit. I have friends who have to go to one doctor for general things, and their Oby/Gyn for those issues, when often the problems are related, and their care never gets coordinated. Avoid at All Cost: Incompetent at Getting Rx Filled, Insensitive As soon as you walk in the office, you see an ad for liposuction and similar services depicting a normal looking middle aged female body in the 'before' pictures. The first impression is that they want to make you feel bad about your body. Their priority is not women's health, it's making women feel bad about themselves so they buy elective procedures. Next, I needed prenatal vitamins sent to a nearby pharmacy. They messed up which pharmacy, delaying my care. I had to call their office and 2 pharmacies to fix it. They messed the refill, too. This time they refilled extremely expensive supplements I've never seen or taken in my life and NOT what I asked for. Now I have to deal with the pharmacy and their office AGAIN to fix THEIR mistakes. I had to call them 5 days past when they said they'd get give me genetic testing results. They had the results already, no excuse for leaving me worried for nearly a week.

Very rude! Dr Turpin is a rude woman, not caring and I believe she doesn’t have enough knowledge! Came to the room talking about my results without even saying Hi!! Not even mentioning anything about my ultrasound. Staff are pushy and try to ask you get more tests to pay more! I will never go back to that office ever again!

Rushed service, long wait, not extremely friendly or welcoming, and not careful or informative. She also charges for phone calls to go over results which is ridiculous. I would not recommend Dr. Trupin or this practice if you want quality care from staff who actually care about you as a person and patient. I wish I'd never set foot in this office. Long story short my overall impression was that no one on staff, including the doctor, gave a crap about anything other than rushing through my care so they could move on to the next paying patient. They collect payment before you even meet the doctor, they over schedule and keep you waiting. It's all rush rush rush. The doctor didn't even pop her head in at my pre-op appointment. Morning of surgery she came in exactly as I began to count down for the anesthesia (so much for last minute questions/concerns). When my heart monitor kept going off in recovery the nurse would come in, looking annoyed. She didn't look in my direction, just kept adjusting the machine. They never called me after I went home like they said they would and when I later started having problems and i tried to call I left a message and never got a response. I ended up walking out of my post-op appointment, in pain and still bleeding from a botched procedure and seeking alternative treatments. I was not willing to put up with any of it any more. When I moved back to Champaign-Urbana a few months back, one of the first contacts I made was to re-start my relationship with Women's Health Practice. I lived here 15 years ago and was always impressed by Dr. Trupin. She still does research, which is important to me as a patient, because she is always current on new meds and treatment approaches. She approaches health care "globally," meaning she looks at the whole person, not just the particular ailment. She is so easy to talk to. She is also VERY smart! When I need specialized treatment, like for diabetes, she refers me to other specialists. As a senior, I feel that she respects me and my issues. Lots of MDs do not! Brava, Dr. Trupin. I am pretty surprised by the reviews I am reading! I have been with Dr. Trupin for about a year and a half. The office staff at the front desk have always been discreet and kind. When I call they are friendly and when I leave messages for a nurse, I have NEVER waited more than 24 hours for a returned call. In fact, I can’t recall a message that has not been returned that same day. When I have had concerns, Dr. Trupin has sat with me for 20+ minutes discussing my concerns, even writing down answers so I could discuss them with my husband. She made an appointment so that she could discuss treatment options with both my husband and I after I left and felt I needed more reassurance. I would highly recommend her and her staff. When I delivered my first child with the doctor, she made it clear many times she had other people waiting for her back at her office and she needed to get back. She made me feel like I was a nuisance for even delivering at that time and I needed to hurry up and deliver (like I enjoyed the labor so much I was in no rush). It was not a pleasant experience for a first time delivery, that was also a month early. When I went recently to get my annual, as she had me set up in the stir ups she tells me I'm not using sunscreen on my face and she'll send someone else in from her other business to tell me about one of their facial products. And last of all, after deciding enough is enough, I requested my medical records. I was told they would be between 26 and 50 pages. I called back and left a message to go ahead and copy them and I'll pick them up. I got a letter two days later telling me the total number of pages was 93 and that I owed just under $50. So no, I do not recommend going there even once, considering their poor business practices by not only the staff, but the doctor as well. I only hope new women moving into town read these reviews before considering her as their doctor.
