Dr. Susan Lei Tan

Ive seen Dr Tan once so far and my impression is that she’s a doctor I can trust. She listened intently regarding my situation and treated me immediately. Her doctor patient relation is admirable, and she showed me how she cared. Her 2 office staff were also very helpful, and displayed an interest in patient care. I felt very comfortable in their office.

We were referred to Doctor Tan when my 3-year old daughter needed to have tubes inserted into her ears. During one of the follow-up appointments several months later, Tan came into the room and started asking questions that I found confusing. She even looked down my daughter's throat and said it looked "much better," which was also confusing, because the purpose of the appointment was to make sure the tubes were still in tact. I told Tan that there was nothing wrong with my daughter's throat, and that we were only there to check on her ears. I glanced at the clipboard Tan had with her, and it was SOMEONE ELSE'S NAME, not my daughter's name. When Tan realized she had the wrong person, she panicked and quickly flipped her clipboard over. She then pretended that she knew what she was doing, looked in my daughter's ears, and told us to schedule another follow-up a few months later. I would not recommend Doctor Tan to anyone looking for an ENT for their child. She might get your kid mixed up with someone else's and actually perform a dangerous procedure on them. Look elsewhere.

I had my first appointment with the doctor today. She was so kind and thoroughly explained the surgery I would need, and was honest enough to admit that although she is capable of doing the complex surgery, she thought it best to refer me to one or two other physicians who have had more experience with this type of operation. She was great.

She, along with Patrick O’donnell, contributed to me getting empty nose syndrome. Now my life is ruined.

Dr. Tan is so incredibly kind and professional. The whole experience from the office visit, to surgery, and through recovery was better than I could have ever hoped for. She will take very very good care of you!

Dr. Tan is a caring, gentle surgeon with really good hands. She performed surgery to correct damage to my nose and nasal septum following a surfing injury. Surgery went quickly, was painless, and recovery was quick thanks to her excellent work. She is an amazing doctor! Her staff is very nice too. Melanie always has a smile on her face and goes the extra mile with scheduling.

Dr. Susan Tan is an excellent Doctor. She has great communication skills, has excellent bedside manner, and is a skilled surgeon. She always returns calls in a timely manner and is always so pleasant. My son recently had a tonsillectomy and had his adenoids removed, and he healed nicely from the procedures. I would highly recommend her.
