Dr. Susan E Jenkins

I visited Dr. Jenkins twice. My first time I had very long wait for over an hour. The second time was even more ridiculous. My appointment was at 11:30 and I got to the office at 11:00. I sat and waited until 12:30, still not called back. I check with the front desk and ask them if I can be seen by 1 pm and they stated yes. They called me 15 minutes later for co-pay and then told me that they only accepted cash. Of course, it would have been helpful to hear about this change in policy before coming to the office. I had to leave to find an ATM for cash. I came back, waited for some time longer, then not called back. I told them that I can no longer wait, I had to pick my kids up and have a work meeting to attend and told them that I will need to rescheduled. They finally took me back and Dr. Jenkins told me that she usually does not allow patients to request to be seen at certain times. I asked her if keeping a patient waiting for 1.5 hours is acceptable.

Best doctor ever!! The doctor and staff were friendly and efficient. The doctor was knowledgeable and caring and answered ALL of my questions, which is a rarity these days. The office was also very modern looking which was nice. Recommend highly!

I had a recent visit with Dr Jenkins and I was amazed at how comfortable I was with her from the moment she walked into the room. Her staff was very nice to me and I found them to be very organized and working like a team. My wait time was not long and neither was my visit time. Dr Jenkins made it a point after the exam to meet her in her office to discuss any issues I may have. I really liked the personalized interest. That showed me that she had great concern for her patients. I feel very comfortable recommending any woman to come see her. She is the ultimate professional and very friendly. I have recommended that my daughters go to her as well. She and her staff are amazing.!

If I could leave no stars, I would. My initial appointment lasted 10 mins and she referred me to get an MRI while her cup of noodles sat on her desk and she spoke past me to her staff walking by; clearly I didn't have her full attention. I went to get the MRI and received no follow up from her. When I called, the follow up was a telehealth appt. where she was late, didn't have my results, stayed on for 5-7 minutes and again referred me. I am left wondering why I even became her patient as she didn't seem to care about my situation, didn't follow up and spent very minimal time trying to understand my concern.

Excellent doctor! Knowledgeable and caring. I would definitely refer Dr. Jenkins to my friends and family. She is the best! She definitely makes up for any deficiencies in the staff. Good staff is hard to find.

Great doctor. Super knowledgeable. Patiently answered all of my many questions. Staff was friendly and caring as well. Highly recommend.

If only I could give a zero!!! The office staff is horrible. Spoke with Bailey, Medical Assistant, who proceeded to tell me I had a balance due on the account. Keep in mind, this was not discussed when I made the initial appointment. I called back to verify appointment and was met with her who proceeded to tell me of a conversation I had with a staff member. The staff member made a not on the file of speaking with me and she took it upon herself to tell me the details of the conversation. I tried to tell her I was unaware of the charge as I pay my bills and co-payments. She was so busy being adamant with a rebuttal during the conversation. Very Unprofessional staff who should be introduced to Customer Service Training. I will pay this balance AND look for another doctor. RATING POOR

I have been a long time patient of Dr. Jenkins. I also work in healthcare billing. Unfortunately just as with the doctor I work for, many of the negative reviews are related to insurance. Dr. Jenkins and her staff are the best around. It would be nice if all patients understood their insurances. The physicians office is not responsible for how much or how little your insurance company allows or reimburses for your visit. It seems very unfair to write a negative review about a great Doctor just because the type of insurance you chose has limited benefits. That is the insurance you chose and your concerns should be directed toward the insurance company.

If I could give it a zero I would.. I was referred to this office for my female exam. My appointment was @3pm. I got there @2:30pm to fill out my paper work. I called to the back @ 3:05pm. The front desk person asked me for my insurance card in the room while I'm waiting on the Dr. Now its 3:35pm this lady name Bally (if thats her real name) comes in and tell me that its taking long because she is trying to verify my insurance. At 3:50pm she comes back in and say that my insurance was verify and they need to collect 150.00 from me for my co-pay. I begin to question her asking her why am I paying 150.00 when my copay is only 31.00. She tell me that my insurance is a limited insurance (what does that mean). I immediately calls my insurance company to make sure nothing change come to find out they never call. My insurance company told them they can't go online to verify the have to call the number on the card. They are a rip off I do not recommend them. I never saw the Dr. TIME WASTED!!

Great visit. Doctor and staff are just awesome!

I've been going to Dr. Jenkins for almost 25 years and she and her staff are very professional. She listens, puts me at ease, and answers all my questions.

Doctor and staff were excellent. I was seem quickly and the doctor was able to diagnose my problem accurately even though I had been to other doctors in the past who could never figure out what was wrong with me. Highly recommend this practice. Best in DC area.

I received the worst service ever, the entire staff is unprofessional and not knowledgeable at all. To summarized what I endured I was mischarged for my copay and then still billed for more money, never received a lab bill; I had to locate the company myself, and they discussed my private information in front of interns that are not covered by the policy law acts.

After the death of my GYN, i was referred to Jenkins. I should've known something was wrong when she required a cash only fee of $70 & ignored my $30 copay. When asked to come in a few days later to review test results she wanted me to pay another $70 fee, & refused to call in a Rx or explain my results until i paid the $70 (fee?). I asked about my fertility because nothing was happening, & i am now over 35, her answer was 'as long as you have regular periods you can get pregnant.' Really?!

A true rarity these days, spends time educating patients about care and treatments, genuinely cares about you and never rushes you through the exam. Dr. Jenkins is the best gynecologist I've had in 20 years!
