Dr Makkapati delivered my second baby (19 years ago) and has been my Dr. ever since. She is calm, confident, compassionate and encouraging. I can't recommend her highly enough.

I reccomend her! She was so nice and knew exactly what she was doing. Shes the first doctor in years to truly care about my health. I had major abdominal surgery and she truly was the best!

There are no words to describe how thankful I am. Going into emergency surgery, I was horrified. She had a clear plan, and was confident and caring. She grabbed my cheek before I went under because she knew I was scared, and said “I have you, I promise.” She made one of the scariest days of my life, a little easier. Expresses no sympathy and provided no help. She may be a fine physician for routine medical issues, but I would not recommend seeing her for anything personal, which I feel is most reasons to visit an OBGYN

Can’t stress how bad this physician is. Six children and she is the only one I had problems with. My sister has four children and had the same issues with Makkapati. Highly discourage anyone seeing this doctor.

LOVE Dr.Makkapati but dislike the desk ladies in the clinic. They act very confused when you ask them where out patient surgery is and when your appointment is . They gave my mom the wrong address over the phone as to where out patient surgery is, all she had to say was Mercy Hospital. They tell you wrong dates and wrong times, and don't inform you if they canceled an appointment on you . We live 2 hours away, so it's hard on us when they do these types of things. Please hire smarter/professional desk ladies that aren't rude over the phone and actually know the business and what're they're talking about . This doctor is very knowledgeable and personable. She explained testing results, needed surgery, and post op issues clearly and was open to answering questions. The people working with her are great! I wholeheartedly recommend her and her colleagues.

I had the pleasure of getting to see Dr. Makkapati numerous times throughout my pregnancy. She is absolutely wonderful and caring. She is a great listener and she never seemed rushed or too busy to answer my questions. I would recommend Dr. Makkapati to anyone and everyone!
