I'm so PO by this doctor's office. It has never been a great Dr office. I took my sick child in on Friday. The doctor came in looked at her throat, says he prescribing an antibiotic. I explain to him it's just not her throat she's stuffy and congested. He blows that off, we literally spoke to him for 1 minute or less. I took my daughter home and I head to the pharmacist. I go to CVS pharmacy ( where I told the nurse to send prescription before I saw doctor). CVS says they don't have a prescription for me. I called the office emergency line, the nurse had to contact the doctor. She explains the doctor has to go back to the office to call in prescription. I say i want to make sure CVS in kingsland ( b/c the person at cvs said maybe they sent it to st marys cvs). I wait a hour and call back, no answer. They stop answering the emergency phone. My daughter doesn't get sick often. That was her first day missed from school all year. My daughter loves to eat and lives in the kitchen. She didn't have an appetite at all so I know she was feeling horrible. It is Monday 830am. I called the office and explained everything. The nurse says the prescription was sent to Walmart. I live in Harriet's bluff and I tell her that I made sure to verify that it's sent to CvS in kingsland. She says she will get them to send to correct pharmacy. It is now 153pm and CvS does not have my daughters prescription ( I'm at work by the way) The office says their going to call me back after they call CVS. I can only imagine how neglectful this doctor's office is to other patients.

Worst doctor EVER!!! Doesn’t know anything about special needs and didn’t bother to help my son.

Had an appointment at 4:30pm with three babies, mind you sick babies, they got them Covid tested and said “the test results will be ready in 30 minutes” it’s 6pm no phone call we have called twice with zero results. They were supposed to send prescriptions for the babies coughs and they told us we need to switch pharmacies in order to get the prescriptions. So now we have three sick babies no medicine and zero test results. I will be calling in the morning very upset!! If I could give zero stars I would. Very disappointed because this isn’t the first time! This office is a dang joke!

I have 5 kids and Dr. Patel has and still is the Dr. for my young kids. I started taking my older ones in 2005 when we moved here. He’s the best pediatrician in town, he’s very caring and makes sure he’s thorough when your child is sick. The staff very attentive and polite. Highly recommended!!

My two sons have been going to dr. Patel for 4 years now. He is amazing. He really good. He is kind and understanding. He answer all my questions. He very supportive with the school system. Wrighting notes. Sending your children to specialists in needed.

I Love Dr. Patel and his family/staff. There are always there when I need them and Dr. Patel is not one of those doctors eager to put my son's on antibiotics. My Son's are grown now and the last one is getting ready to transition to an adult doctor. I am sure going to miss that family and especially Dr. Sujay Patel.

I have used Dr. Patel on and off for 10+ years! I have recommended him too many friends. My daughter will actually ask to go see him when she doesn’t feel well. What kid does that???. My 15-year-old enjoys his visits and feels that he can speak with Dr. Patel privately about teenage matters. What a relief to a mother!!! I saw Dr. Patel for 10 years while growing up, and his office also helped squeeze me in if I was making a trip home once I was older. It was so nice to have a reliable, familiar doctor. Plus, he and his wife are an awesome team! They are always welcoming and caring. He listened to any health concerns I had and he could always answer my questions. You are in good hands here! Worst experience I have ever had with a doctors office. I wanted to like this place but as time went on I realized that the doctor cared more about quantity of care rather than quality. The rooms felt dirty and my son only got his measurements half the time and not accurately. I never got any paperwork explaining my visit and never got appointment reminders. Will not answer phone cannot get medical records prescribed child five different heavy duty mental health medications that should have been prescribed by a psychiatrist medications contradict each other. Terrible doctor. Clearly does not know what he is doing. Child complains he was very mean to her also.

"Oh, my goodness! That was so cool!" - words of my soon to be 4 year old, as she walked out of Dr. Patel's office this afternoon. I couldn't be more appreciative of the calmness and patience exhibited by Dr. Patel and his staff, so much so; that my noncompliant toddler was so incredibly generous with her ears during the exam! Dr is very rude!!!! My daughter had a sinus infection for months and he kept saying it was allergies when the meds did not work and I brought her back in he had the nerve to tell me im bringing her into much and I might as well bring her to his house!!!!!! Went to camden pediatrics and they are amazing. Immediately had her on antibiotics for a sinus infection and into a ENT within a few weeks was doing much better his office sucks!!!!!!!! Dr. Patel is professional, as well as caring. He communicates well with the children, and teens. He is very patient and understanding with your concerns, and answers your questions with respect and kindness.

I'm blessed to have Dr Patel in our lives. He saved my daughters life when she was born. He kept fighting for her to see specialist because he knew their was issues with her. She continues to amaze him everyone she sees him.

Horrific experience. The doctor wants to over medicate, and under evaluate. All he is worried about is vaccinating and rushing your kids out without getting a run down of family history first. He is quick to prescribe medications but not quick to recommend vitamins or healthy eating habits. Always wants to give your child antibiotics for the slightest thing. Does not wish to cooperate with giving medical records whatsoever. I would suggest finding a different Doctor. He is rude, his staff is rude, and his office is dirty and full of sick patients who are tired of his rushing them in and out. I would recommend requesting records via certified mail, as they do not observe the law with giving medical records up to ten years, which is the law. He was also supposed to have records for Dr. Wearherspoon's patients- which they deny that as well. Don't go there whatever you do. You will see..... Never answers the phone let alone the front window & They hardly speak English anyways- all he cares about is money and by your children. We are patients of Dr Patel and he has been nothing but Professional and caring with us. The staff is very helpful and kind to all my five children.

Dr Patel has been my son's Dr. for most of his 6 years of life. Dr. Patel has always been nothing but kind and warm to myself, my son, and all of my family and friends I have referred to him. Every time I call with a concern about my son they always ask if I can come in that same day. He listens to all my concerns and prescribes only what's necessary whether it be medicine or ways to comfort my son naturally while he works through his ailments. I adore his staff, his wife always has a warm smile on, and my son knows he can count on her for 2 lolipops at the end of the visit haha. I love Dr. Patel and would never switch practices. I like Dr Patel but his receptionist Shelly is very rude I called in to explain myself before my son's appointment and she cut me off several times stating that they were busy in which I am a nurse myself and you never state that to a patient I told her that and she didn't care she continued to be rude so therefore me or my son won't be attending anymore.

Dr Patel has been caring for my son for 11 years.

Dr Sujay Patel is wonderful. Any time my kids are sick I call and I am in within the hour. He really takes his time and is very thorough.

Dr Patel is an wonderful Dr and his Staff is amazing as well. Like the other review said. Whenever my kids are sick they are in within an hour.

I'm the Mother of four children and I love the care and services my family and I have receive in Dr Patel's care. I never have to wait and when my children need specialized services such as ear experts or kidney experts, Dr Patel does not hesitate to refer you to the specialists. Dr Patel and staff really do care about their patients needs. I use to live in Chicago and Arizona before living in Saint Mary's, GA and the Doctors in big cities and even small towns like in AZ never listen to your true concerns, because to them you are just a number or an appointment. Dr. Patel listens and informs you what or why your child behaves or has the issue they have, he gives you options because he cares. I found out my son had a serious medical issue only after meeting Dr Patel. My son's medical issue should have been discovered earlier in life, not now, it's why I'm so thankful! It's not the doctor himself, but the administration support is horrible. I called twice to confirm time for a new patient request and the lady gave me two different appointments on the same day. Obnoxiously rude greeting when I got there when I had questions. It's my first and only child so I was unsure of what to do and she was just impatient and annoyed with me and just asked me to sit down.

I just filed a complaint with the medical board today. Here is what I said: My Daughter has been a patient at Dr. Sujay Patel's since she was born. Not once was I given a consent form for any of her shots. With out my knowledge she was given the flu shot. I never would have consented to the Flu shot since I do not agree with it. I ask every time what shots are you giving my daughter. Not once did they mention a Flu shot. Today on 04/14/2015 They said they were giving her another shot. The nurse came in and set up didn't give me time to ask what shot it was and stuck the needle in. No consent forms were given again. My daughter who is only nine months was given another flu shot with out my consent or knowledge. I have asked for my daughters medical records so we can switch doctors and all they give you is an attitude. I am very displeased with the lack of communication and total disregard they give to their patients. I hope something can be done because I am not the only one who has had a bad experience with this doctor. He needs to get more training or be shut down. I would vote for the shut down rather then the training. I hope you can get to the bottom of this because I feel like I was not given the right to choose.
