Dr. Sudhir Malik

Dr. Malik is extremely intelligent, thorough, and kind. He took the time to read my chart beforehand (despite the nightmare it normally is to get files from one office to another) and listened to my entire story, clarifying details. He allowed me to ask questions and took the time to answer each and every single one of them. At no point did I feel rushed and not only that, he was very kind to my elderly grandmother who accompanied me! Not sure what the other reviews are referring to, but my time with Dr. Malik changed my life, as my complex neurologic disease is now under control. What's best he is one of the few neurologists that take Medi-Cal in the area, and I should know, I damn near called every single one of them. In this day and age where everyone is out to take the best insurance, Dr. Malik is compassionate and looks out for the little guy. Thank you Dr. Malik, you are the best!

Excellent doctor who is very knowledgeable regarding his craft. Took the time to research my history prior to my appointment, and then listen to my story while clarifying details. Answered all of my questions in detail. Unsure what other reviews are referring to, but Dr. Malik is kind, detail-oriented, and extremely intelligent! Helped me to get my complex neurologic disease under control!

Strange little Man

Very nice, polite and professional front desk staff. Dr. Malik is super professional and he cares a lot. He takes plenty of time to diagnose and talk to the patient. I’m wondering about negative reviews. Don’t consider the negative reviews, they’re all wrong. Absolutely 5 star for the doctor and the ladies at the front desk.

My wife just saw Dr. Malik today, and he was completely unprofessional, and refused to take her concerns seriously. If you aren't serious about wanting to help people, stop practicing medicine.

I had a terrible experience. Don’t go here! My appointment was at 9:40 in the morning and I waited 2 hours in the lobby before I was seen. Dr. Malik was seeing people who had come in after me and saved me for last. When I finally saw him he completely disregarded me and told me that my symptoms were all due to anxiety and refused to do any further testing past the simple examination. He also tried prescribing me a medication for weight loss which I don’t understand what a weight loss medication has to do with anything. I had a terrible experience. Don’t go here! Dr Malik is the best neurologist I have ever met. He is compassionate, patient, and optimistic (which is a rare find in neurologists). He is also incredibly knowledgeable and looks at your whole medical history to better treat you. If you need a neurologist in San Diego, I highly recommend Dr Malik

Completely unprofessional! I had an appointment on Monday I called Friday to cancel it they said they will get back to you within 24 hours they didn't and then they put a $50 charge for not being there. 1 test he did, reviewed with 2 other Dr's about it, they agreed he did it completely WRONG for the RIGHT test results.

If I could give this doctor no stars I would !!!!He does not listen seems to be lazy and take the easy way out by saying it’s all anxiety ive been dealing with severe symptoms and he does not seem to listen also never returns my emergency calls !!! I waited months to see this neurologist. I have been dealing with severe pain and I was desperately hoping for some kind of help and insight. I didn't get any. Dr Malik spent more time transcribing his notes during my appointment then he did hearing my concerns. He performed his 2 minute exam on me in which he eneded up hurting me and causing me more pain. When I said that he was hurting me, he made a face and said," What do you want me to do?" And continued to hurt me. He had no compassion at all. I left his office in more pain than when I went, and with no answers or help at all. Very disappointing. Since his staff is very helpful and caring, I was expecting the same from this dr. Great Doctor! I highly recommend him if you are seeking a skilled neurologist.

As a patient of Dr.Makik’s, I have the highest respect for his knowledge, attention to his patients, and the insight to look at your case, not just in his specialty, but as a whole. The worst neurologist I've ever seen. I have seen five in my lifetime because I have a very rare neurological disease. He lacks expertise and more importantly he does not believe in encourage or practice patient centered care.

I have been a patient of Dr. Malik's now for over a year. He is kind, thoughtful, clear and concise, 4 characteristics I admire very much. AND I'm getting better! I like that too. His staff are helpful and respond to messages quickly - also a trait I like I like a lot.

He rushed me through the whole appoinment. He had not reviewed my hospital records beforehand me was not able to pull them up during the visit. He apparently has no opions or advice for my medical condition or the excrutiating pain I suffered after a bad spinal tap. He just kept saying I don't know! To every question. But he was very happy happy to ask for a copay and Bill my insurance for a complete waste of time on my part. His office looks like a dump. Unprofessional and useless.
