Dr. Sharma was great. Went to see him for two different issues. I had a complicated case another doctor wouldn't touch. He answered all my questions. Super nice and friendly. Had my hysterectomy and post op went well. Highly recommend Dr. Sharma.

Great Doctor!!

If I could give zero stars, I would give this horrible doctor the lowest score possible. I hope he gets his license revoked due to his unprofessional behaviors to patients. The way he treats his patients alone screams unprofessional. A doctor should not make rude, unnecessary remarks to patients like “she needs to lose weight” or “learn how to speak English”; no one should be treated like this by anyone let alone a DOCTOR. Yes doctors it’s cold , but maybe he has to be that way, he didn’t lie about u, he just trying to save ur life ! I’m cancer free 6 years, and because off him I’m alive! He’s a great doctor, so stop whining because he told u u need to Lose weight, that’s the reason! Women overweight getting cancer quicker

He was wonderful - he has a more serious personality but I think I won him over with a few jokes, LOL I went to Dr. Sharma because he does more of these robotic surgeries than anyone in the Chicagoland area. He was very informative, answered all of my questions and I felt very confident in his abilities. His staff is super friendly and helpful. I am thankful I don't have to see him again as my pathology came back clean..no cancer, yay!!! But I would highly recommend Dr. Sharma! Like the below reviewer, I too had robotic surgery with Dr. Sharma (At Elmhurst Hospital) and thankfully all tests came back negative for cancer. My experience with Dr. Sharma and his wonderful staff has been 5 star. I agree 100 % with the below reviewer. You are in good hands with Dr. Sharma and his staff.

The best of the best of the best. Dr. Sharma has a great sense of humor and has an extremely gentle and loving personality. His staff is equally as amazing. I am SO HAPPY that I was referred to him by my obgyn. I can't say enough of wonderful things about him and my recent experience. For those who are upset about his comments about needing to lose weight; you probably do need to lose weight. That is not rude. Don't take it personally and check your lifestyle before reviewing someone low due to hurt feelings. Absolutely disrespectful and puts his personal beliefs over your well-being. I went in for a consult after getting a positive cervical cancer test. He completely dismissed me because of my age, refused to listen to me, and didn't even offer a single medical option because I did not have children. His exact words were "maybe if you had 4 or 5 kids I would consider surgery but let's wait and see." And that was after I explicitly told him I never wanted children so it should not impact my options. I left scared and angry and called a second doctor from the parking lot who did the surgery that same month and am now cancer-free. Do NOT let this man talk you out of your health just because he believes women should be breeding stock.

My wife went to Dr. Sharma for Ovarian Cancer over a 4 1/2 year period of time. I asked some very tough questions and though he always had the answer (not always what I was looking for) I always checked medical journal articles for the latest information. I even went to other Doctors who confirmed the treatment plan that Dr. Sharma had recommended. I highly recommend Dr. Sharma! He takes the necessary time to explain things in as much detail as you can understand. BUT remember that no Doctor is as responsible for your health as YOU are! They are specialists who are way ahead of any general knowledge that we might have. I contacted many hospitals (including Mayo Clinic, MD Anderson, and other hospitals) throughout the US for open trials. With his encouragement, I sought advice/help from the best the US had to offer. None offered anything different than what Dr. Sharma offered. He is right up there with America's best Gunacologists, in my opinion. I would choose him all over again!

I agree with the other patient. The Dr was rude and cold. My Dr has sent records in advance he had not viewed them until he came in room. When I tried to express my concerns about surgery he told me he didn't care if I had it or not. He would not discuss anything with me other than scheduling a surgery. The reasons why surgery was only option were not an option for discussion. He was rough with his examination. He .at be expert in robotic surgery but is horrible in dealing with patients as a human separate from the organs he removes. I agree with the other patient. The Dr was rude and cold. Dr. Sharma and his staff help me through this difficult time. They were professional and their bed side manner was very calming.

I have been seeing Dr. Sharma for nearly 20 years now and I could not be more pleased with him and the assistance he has given me. I have no doubt that every time I walk in his office I am in great hands. I highly recommend him and his office to those seeking a doctor of his expertise.

Please don't go. If you really love yourself or your loved one..don't don't go. Because of his negligence my wife had a very serious life threatening infection.

Dr. Sharma did my Divinchi robitic total hysteroctmy on April 23 rd, 2018. I had uterine cancer at age 63. I was terrifed. Dr. Sharma put my mind at ease. I woke up feeling great. I had no restrictions when I went home the next day. My GP doctor was aware of my vitals while in the hospital. He is very professional. Hes a great doctor and excellent in his field. Dr Sudarshan Sharma is the Clint Eastwood of surgeons. He doesn't say much but he is all action! He has a great deal of surgical expertise and I trusted him implicitly. When he talked, I listened, and did exactly what he said. Dr Sharma has brought me through the darkest part of my life (Radical laparoscopic hysterectomy for Endometrial Cancer) and given me hope again. I'd like to thank him with all my heart for his strength and assurances - not to mention the the successful operation - during this whole process and I pray all good things for him always! Dr. Sharma has been my doctor since the fall of 2016. He has saved my life twice. His knowledge and expertise is second to none. He has told me the facts head when I needed to hear it and has also joked and hugged me when I needed it. I have referred him to a co-worker who loved him. I have sought second opinions from two large organizations and felt them to be a cold place NOT Dr. Sharma. Horrible from start to finish. Lazy office that decided to take an extra 20 minute lunch and made me wait, offering no apology. This doctor is extremely rude and cold, I was in tears when I left.

A great experience—Davinci Robotic surgery with expertise of Dr Sharma.. About 6 small inch incisions, as opposed to a large incision. After 2 weeks I have very minimal pain. And I had a complete Hysterectomy! Only one night stay in hospital. I am 69 and feel like 50 again. This is one amazing Doctor that performed with Gods mighty help! I rate him wry high!!! After my robotic surgery Dr. ignored my complain for fever. He basically ignored me by saying "everything is fine". I end up with serious infection and had a serious inflammation in lung/lever/stomach. Had to take heavy doze of antibiotic through IV in peak line for 4 weeks.

My mother was a patient of Dr. Sharma's for five years due to her diagnosis of a very rare Sarcoma. I believe that he did his best medically to treat her and keep her alive for as long as possible. However, his bedside manner is dismal at best. He is known as Dr. Doom and Gloom in his OWN OFFICE. While appreciate his knowledge and expertise, when you are dealing with a terminal illness, a little hope can go a long way. (Side note: The nurses are amazing and were the only reason my mom stayed)

I was apprehensive about Dr. Sharma after reading negative reviews. Don't believe any of those! He is a divine surgeon! Dr. Sharma is an experienced and extremely skilled physician. He is kind and understanding to his patients' needs. I cannot praise him enough! God sent me to him after I had seen another doctor who was inexperienced and lacked basic knowledge. Dr. Sharma is tops as far as I am concerned. I highly recommend him to anyone who wants a superior surgeon.

Was revered to Dr. Sharma from my Gyne to have a "more difficult" hysterectomy done. Dr. Sharma had fabulous reviews on performing this with the DiVinci robot. After meeting him at my consultation.... I really liked him. His office personal (who was also wonderful) scheduled my surgery. The day of my surgery, I was VERY nervous... he came in to see me prior to surgery... re-asurred me I was in the best care.. his bed side manner is AWESOME!!! Would recommend him to ALL!! My surgery went GREAT!!

I went with my mother for a post-operative check up after her DaVinci surgery for her hysterectomy, she was experiencing some post-op complications with pain and fever and Dr. Sharma, although concerned with the complications, did not seem willing to answer any of my questions regarding the surgery itself and what risks were involved in it. His exact response was that if I had wanted to know more about the surgery, I should have been there when she was having it. If he is unwilling to clearly explain risks and detailed steps of this surgery to anyone, then he is not someone I feel comfortable having my mother go to. Other than our personal dispute, his office and the waiting room were clean and the rest of the staff was very helpful. Dr. Sharma has been my doctor since 2006, I started seeing him because I am at an elevated risk of gynecological and breast cancer due to family history. The guidance he has provided me have been superb and from personal experience (genetic counseling at University of Chicago) that he is one of the best in the Midwest; I completely agree.
