Dealing with an Afib diagnosis was a scary thing! Dr. Gowda explained the issue and causes clearly so I could understand what was happening... we then discussed a plan and timeline to address it. Cardioversion, Ablation and follow-ups. I was very happy to have Dr. Gowda treating, and supporting, me throughout the procedures and visits. Thank you, Dr. Gowda!

I have been seeing Dr. Gowda for 6 yrs. She is beautiful inside out. She is an excellent compassionate listener. She took excellent care of me when I was admitted and very sick at RWJBH. Had an ablation for A.fib in 2019, which went very well. I have not had any A.fib since after. I have been taken off blood thinner and feel/breathe so much better. I appreciate her a lot. Overall health has never been better since after seeing Dr. Gowda.

Dr. Gowda explains everything so you can understand what is happening with the ICD and the importance of my INR readings. I also take my readings at home, instead of a lab where they draw a tube of blood instead of a drop of blood. Taught me about Vit. K. I trust her with my life. One thing I can say she listens to you what your saying, not dictate at you.

Dr. Gowda is absolutely wonderful !! Based on family history & habits Dr. Gowda ordered CT/Calcium score. The test revealed 4 potential blockages. Cardiac catheterization determined 4 significant blockages. 4 by-passes needed !! Early detection was KEY !! No damage. No heart ATTACK ! Home within 68 hours of surgery. Thanks to Dr. Gowda. I could not have asked for a better outcome !!

I had experienced irregular heart beats for several months. Finally my PCP sent me to Dr. Gowda which was such a blessing. It was such an easy procedure in her able hands and excellent team. Anytime I called her, she always called back asap and team was excellent. I am now off Amiodarone and also will come off blood thinner today and am so happy. We will follow closely. Dr. Gowda is the best and very reassuring and makes me so comfortable when I was anxious. Procedure was done so easily and Dr. Gowda is a WhizKid.

My mother was in the hospital and Dr. Gowda was the on call provider for my mother's provider. My mom had a minor stroke and called Dr. Gowda and she said to my mother "What do you want?" She was so unprofessional. I do not recommend this provider. I see someone else described a similar situation, and Dr. Gowda replied that it wasn't her. Typical. I heard what she said my mother. I know for a fact who she was speaking with. So I will accept no excuses. If I could give her a zero rating I would.

Dr. Gowda was the on-call doctor when I called the office on a Saturday re: an incident with my mother who is the patient of another doctor in the practice. She was curt and I got the impression I was "disturbing" her weekend. It was loud in the background and I heard people talking, so much so that it felt like other people were on the line with us. I understand I was calling off hours, but at first it was hard to hear her and I wasn't even sure she was talking to me because I was hearing other conversations. No apology, just "you're calling me on the weekend, I'm not in the office. I can hear you" when I mentioned my confusion hearing others talking. After I explained what happened with my mother, she asked me one question regarding the incident then said "You should call the office on Monday to make a follow up appointment with her (my mother's) doctor. Good bye." She then hung up on me!! I have never had a doctor speak to me with the tone this person used. Very rude.

I am a 51 year old male that, until recently, was suffering from a severe case of heart disease. Stagnant care and ineffective medications, drastically limiting my quality of life, lead me to Dr. Gowda. A change was necessary and she is one for the better. Thorough testing, medication and dosage changes, and ultimately an ablation has, for me, resulted in much more favorable health. Dr. Gowda devised a plan and saw it through changing my life forever. Since my procedure last September, daily EKG's have all been normal, AFIB is nonexistent, and I have stopped taking two medications. She is a caring, down to earth doctor with a real personality. Best health decision ever...I'd recommend her to anyone!

I have been a patient of Dr. Gowda's for about 10 years. Most days she may be running late but once in the room she is very tentative to the tasks at hand. Dr. Gowda explains all needed tests and results with needed treatments. Dr. Gowda is a friendly and personable person that I can talk to and ask the questions that trouble me. I would recommend her to anyone needing a Cardiologist.

Friendly but felt forced...Felt rushed, also feel as if she did not listen to anything I had told her about previous/current treatments and why I was there. Felt as if I was in an assembly line and she sent me for every test that my insurance would reimburse her for even though I have had the same studies done recently. Nothing was accomplished at this visit. Staff was very friendly and very careful with all COVID precautions.

I was referred to Dr. Gowda approximately 5 years ago and have always been very satisfied with the care I have received. Dr. Gowda is friendly, caring and an excellent physician. I am very thankful to be in her care. The staff is courteous, wait times are short and the office is well run. I appreciate that many of the tests I need to have done take place in house. Overall, I'm very satisfied with all aspects of the practice and hope to continue being a patient of Dr. Gowda in years to come.

I started to see Dr Gowda in October 2019 after a number of Afib episodes. She first put me on medication that controlled the Afib, but highly recommended an ablation procedure. She clearly explained her reasoning and the procedure, and gave me resources to research to help me with my decision. I had the ablation procedure in February 2020, and am now in normal heart rhythm and off all medication for Afib. Dr. Gowda and staff took great care of me, fully explained the procedure so I was very comfortable with my decision to move forward. Thank you Dr Gowda. Since I have received the Watchman implant as well as my cardiac ablation, my heart health has improved much! I have had a history in my family in regards to high stoke risk. As well as suffering from A-Fib. With the Watchman and cardiac ablation I'm feeling so much better-no more chest pain or heart racing. I am very grateful for Dr. Gowda's care and concern. She is an excellent physician that truly cares about her patients.

I had palpitations for many years, which caused lots of problems for me in my life. And held me back from doing many things. Dr. Gowda is a life saver!! Saw Dr. Gowda for A-Fib as a cardiologist recommended and also by my cousin's 90 year old father w/heart issues,needing a Pacemaker. Was given a series of test, reviewed my 20 medicines for my various conditions. Stress test was abnormal. Sent for Cardiac Cath, found 80% blockage in LAD aka “Widow Maker”. I was upset but Dr. Gowda and her caring staff made me feel everything would be ok. Went for Cardiac Ablation. Unfortunately, it failed as I was a complicated case. Dr. Gowda tried to fix the problem w/a 4 hr surgery. She had confidence she would resolve the issue. Went to hospital for 4 days to start regime of Tikosyn. I've never heard of it. 2 weeks post hospital was in sinus rhythm to stay. Combination of Ablation/Tikosyn did the trick! She’s very knowledgeable and skilled at surgery and knows how to treat her patients. I no longer feel like I’m going to have a Stroke/Heart attack at any moment. No longer feel i'm on borrowed time. Thank you Dr. Gowda for your kindness & expertise!

I feel so much healthier since being under Dr. Gowda's care. She discovered very quickly that I had A-Fib. She performed an Ablation and had also put me on anti-stroke medication. I'm happy to report that I no longer need that medication and I no longer suffer from episodes of heart racing, heart pounding and sheer exhaustion. With more energy I can exercise more. Experiencing atrial fibrillation was scary. When your heart is not beating right, you worry all the time. The best health decision I ever made in my life was deciding to receive my care at NBCG and selecting doctor Gowda to perform a heart ablation to get my heart beat in sinus rhythm. My first ablation in 2007 was successful for 12 years. I had a second ablation in 3/2019 and my heart is now beating perfectly. The care I received continuous to be excellent and I would recommend that other patients experiencing atrial fibrillation seek out care from the New Brunswick Cardiology Group.

Dr. Gowda and staff at NBCG are excellent! I was 240lbs with A-Fib before she fixed me. I'm now 183 and losing weight feeling great!

I have a history of Atrial Fibrillation, I was referred to Dr. Gowda by my general cardiologist. Dr. Gowda has great bedside manners and made me fell confident that she was there to help me. She told me sometimes it takes 2 attempts to clear the Atrial Fibrillation. In my case it did. Second time worked like a charm! I would highly recommend her.

I haven't had any episodes of Afib since my ablation in 2017. My procedure was done at RWJ in May of 2017. My only concern was that the bed was to short as I am 6'8". However, I should have done the ablation earlier because the Afib effects got worse as time went on.

I came into the office feeling badly and feeling scared. I had heard so many bad things about AFib. I was immediately put at ease by the wonderful staff. I felt so much better just talking to Dr. Gowda. She was so positive and so patient. While discussing my options I understood all of my options, so well that I was able to choose my path right then. Dr. Gowda made it all happen! The care has been impeccable. I feel GREAT! Ablation was the best option for me, and Dr. Gowda was by far the best choice of all. I would give a 6th star if I could!

Dr. Gowda has been my doctor going on 10 years. She has given me a pacemaker and treated my A Fib with an ablation. She did a terrific job on both. I am now A Fib free for 4 years and enjoy an active lifestyle. I visit her and her staff for routine checkups and i must say, they are always easy, fast and enjoyable. I would highly recommend the ablation procedure, if you have A.fib. All of my issues were resolved with procedure. Dr. Gowda was superb. She was very well spoken and listened to my issues. She also was very informative. Provided me with advice on what exactly I needed to do. Overall care by Dr. Gowda as excellent. I highly recommend her.

I was diagnosed with paroxysmal AFib early 2018 with sub-optimal results from electrical cardioversion procedure. Dr. Gowder was able to fully stabilize my condition with rhythm control medications. She subsequently performed a successful catheter ablation and ultimately eliminated my dependency on any medications. Dr. Gowder is a very skilled medical professional with high energy and coupled with a very personable personality. I would recommend her 110% if you have any cardiac electrophysiology related heart diseases.

I started with New Brunswick Cardiology approx. 12-15 years ago w/ Dr. Passanante. I was having sporadic episodes of A.fib and he recommended I see Dr. Gowda. I was taking medication that was keeping me in normal sinus rhythm but Dr. Passanante advised it wasn't best to stay on that medication for too long a period of time. After a consult w/ Dr.Gowda, she felt I was a perfect candidate for an ablation. I had the procedure done in 2011 and have been in normal sinus rhythm since with no A.fib episodes. I am able to do any activity I choose and do it with no difficulty at all from any A.fib symptoms. I receive regular follow-up visits every six months and an ECHO test around every two years. The entire team of Dr.Gowda is very thorough and professional and I feel I am receiving excellent care from all.

On 6/1/2018 I had a triple by-pass. I was also diagnosed with A-Fib. Dr. Gowda shocked my heart twice, after that she preformed an ablation. My A-Fib seems to be gone and I am now taken off a dangerous Amiodarone medication. I cannot thank her enough for her kindness and deep concern to improve my quality of life.

After suffering a stroke & weak heart & fast heart rate I met Dr. Gowda. She took care of all my cardiac needs. She said I needed ablation. After ablation my A-Fib has not returned ever! After ablation Dr. Gowda she has followed me for 4-5 years. I have never felt better and I am extremely satisfied with her care and recommend her to everyone.

In January of 2013 I had a terrible experience where one of my leads fractured. I felt like a got shot! When in the hospital Dr. Gowda appeared. She said she would be able to remove the lead. I have a history of heart valve surgeries and have had numerous episodes of Atrial Flutter/Atrial Fibrillation. I have been under Dr. Gowda's care for over 5 years during which time she has performed a number of procedures including cardio versions, an Ablation and a pacemaker. I was diagnosed with afib in 2014. My PCP referred me to Dr. Gowda. Dr. Gowda explained the ablation procedure very thoroughly. She also noted that sometimes the procedure has to be repeated. She performed my first ablation in May 2014 and then, as she had stated, I needed another ablation which she performed six months later. It has been five years since my surgeries and I am feeling great, do not take meds, and my checkups with Dr. Gowda are great. I highly recommend Dr. Gowda to everyone!!
