This review is my opinion and experience as I recall it to the best of my ability. Your experience and opinion may vary. Short version: Dr. Porter literally got up and walked out of an appointment with me and my wife and hid in the backroom. He literally has a sign that says, “your Google search is not the same as my medical degree.” He clearly doesn’t want any input from the patient. He wants to go through his routine and sale the supplements. Full story: We are genuinely nice people. Never pushy. But my wife had suffered for years from serious health issues and we were looking for answers. She had done hours and hours of research and had wanted one specific blood test done. She had been to Dr. Porter several times and his regiment (a pre-printed sheet he seems to give to many patients, which recommends hundreds of dollars’ worth of supplement from his in-house store) wasn’t working. She asked once and he said he didn’t think that is what it was. He went on with his normal discussion (things we had looked at already), and my wife gently raised it again. At this point, he angrily said, “this isn’t going to work!” and jumped out of his seat and hid in a back room. My wife burst into tears and ran out of the office. I went to the receptionist and asked he if I could speak with Dr. Porter. She went back to talk to him and came out and said he was busy. I could see he was hiding in the back. The coward wouldn’t even talk to me. We have never experienced something like this in all our years. If anything, we are overly nice when interacting with other people. His actions were unbelievably unprofessional and caused significant emotional distress to my wife, leaving her without a physician and suffering (completely unethical). His actions caused physical and emotional harm to her as we search for alternative healthcare. Luckily, we eventually found a wonderful new physician. He ran the same bloodwork my wife had asked for, and it turned out she was right. He treated her and her health issues went away. I can’t help but feel my wife’s opinion was not only discounted because she wasn’t a physician, but also because she was a woman. He was condescending to her even before this incident. It’s her body and she should be entitled to input on her healthcare. I hate to leave negative reviews, but patients should know what they are getting. If you want a physician who wants zero input and sales his own supplements, then he might be right for you. I am sure he has helped several people who don’t mind that type of care. PRIORITIES: PAPERWORK, not PATIENTS. I might as well not have shown up as long as I got paperwork in and answered the questions, which were given in about a 5 minute period. Dr Stuart may have looked me in the eye about three times over his laptop as he surmised why I was “un-well”. I’m curious how many patients Dr Porter sees in a day seeing as his schedule was mentioned with emphasis multiple times from multiple people. I had heard he pushes supplements but then also heard he was great so I went with an open mind. When I left I decided against all the many labs seeing as no one wanted to review them with me, perhaps the time to take would have been seen as unnecessary even though I expressed my desire to be informed I felt managed and produced on the way out there was a pharmaceutical rep standing around. I rarely leave negative reviews but this is the medical industry, and I believe people and I their bodies deserve a minimum standard of care as *individuals. But being there made me wonder if a timer started the moment I walked in that door. >HOWEVER I think it’s important to know for yourself, so I’m not saying don’t go but if your gut says this isn’t for me there is no obligation to get labs and purchase supplements. *We are people with faces. Dr Porter completely changed our lives. Treating my son for extreme anxiety, he went to the source - leaky gut and food allergies . Within weeks my son improved ???? and was back to being a happy kid. I went in skeptical, and came out a huge fan!

Possibly one of the worst experiences I have had with a Dr office in my 30+ years of going to a Dr. They make you initially feel welcome. In fact the Dr I met with was kind, then gave vague information and tried to up sell me on vague pointless treatments and will then work to crush you through billing any way they can. They seldom answer the phone. It took several calls for me to get ahold of someone, even to make an appointment. I spoke to May who claimed to be the office manager with my concerns. She stated that the owners did not care about the experiences of their patients and that she was there to be a buffer so they don't have to deal with it. In fact she stated that the owner was right behind her while she was yelling at me then hung up on me. Be aware, if you want sub par medical treatment and to be treated like an object without care, they are exactly what you are looking for! I would like to say this is an anomaly but I assure you it is not. They saw my wife as well.

We've been clients of Dr. Porter for 15 years and have followed him when he switched clinics several years ago. For me he's the perfect balance between traditional medicine and natural solutions.

Dr Porter has been a lifesaver for me. Helped heal my body without invasive and dangerous methods. Dr. Porter took the time to hear my concerns and offered smart solutions to get to our goals. Now I feel great!

Very glad I found Dr. Porter and thankful he's helping me improve my health. I've been very interested in functional medicine lately and he really knows how to use the best of science, medicine, and research while looking for natural ways to heal your body.

Dr. Porter is brilliant and healed my gut. I am so very thankul for him and the wellness center. He puts his heart and soul into his work and rrally is mindful of what he offers as medical counsel. His supliments are all vetted and are the best!

Amazing, dramatically changed our lives and mainly our son when every one wanted to put him on meds. And quick diagnosis and after thousands of dollars still found out nothing we didn't already know. After a couple hundred dollars Dr. Porter has helped us so much. We love him.
