Not sure why we didn’t come here sooner! Everyone at Dr. Hersey’s office is so kind. My girls first appointment was with them today and they came out saying, “they loved it and can’t wait to go back!” Seriously, what child says that about the dentist…. Mine do!!! Wow! I can’t say enough about Dr. Hersey and his team. I am not one to leave reviews but my 4 year old son had a wonderful first experience. He did not have a good experience with his last dentist so he was nervous about going. He is also generally anxious so that added to things. Not only did everything go better than expected, but he left saying “nothing hurt and this is my favorite dentist.” He couldn’t stop talking about it. He also wasn’t bothered by the x rays which is amazing being that he has a strong gag reflex. We will definitely be making Dr. Hersey my son’s regular dentist!

Our youngest kiddos have ASD and sensory processing disorders, one is non-verbal. Going to medical appointments is never easy. This office and Dr. Hersey are absolutely amazing and go above and beyond to ensure our children get the dental care they need. We really appreciate them and their dedication to children of all abilities!

Dr. Hersey & everyone in the office are so great! They are always so patient and kind. My daughter had her first “big girl” appointment today & I was nervous. Casey was so sweet with her & made the appointment fun. My daughter’s been talking about her since we left!

I found staff to be very friendly and have an approachable demeanor. My daughter sat in the dentist chair for the first time and Gwen went above and beyond to make it a positive experience. She gave her options when possible, explained procedures in simplified terms my 2 almost 3 year old could understand and let her feel each instrument before it went in her mouth. Dr. Hershey was very warm and also took time to build rapport. Thanks to them my daughter has zero fear of the dentist and is looking forward to her next checkup!

Timely & friendly.

What an amazing team! They go above and beyond to make the experience for kids not only a comfortable one, but a FUN one. Their lobby is fun and inviting with a child sized door that leads into it. They have character themed toothbrushes to choose from, fun sunglasses for the kids to wear, a HUGE selection of flavors of polish, and a prize tower for them to get a toy at the end. They explained everything they were going to do to my son and let him be a part of it. They even took a picture of him with the dentist to send home for a memory of his first visit there. My 3yr old son left saying he had fun and asked if he could go back. From the front desk, to the hygienist and the doctor, this team is the best - you couldn’t find a better experience for your kids. We won’t go anywhere else. Thank you so much to this wonderful team!

Dr. Hersey is thorough and compassionate. He has treated both of our boys and includes the kids in the conversation about their teeth and their treatment.

I brought both of my children this morning to see Dr. Hersey for their bi-annual visits. They’re 8 months and 2 years old. He was calm, patient, and gentle in his approach. He made us feel like he had all of the time in the world for us, for our questions. His staff is energetic and totally child centered. They all made us feel so comfortable in the office! Even the hygienists not working with us stopped to say hi or wave! So thankful to have found our forever home for my children’s dental needs!

Dr. Hersey and his staff are always amazing. They've been taking care off my daughters since they were both 6 months old, and every visit we've had since then has been positive. They treat everyone with kindness and warmth, and make sure that the kids are comfortable and happy throughout. Their safety precautions during Covid are impressive and much appreciated!

Amazing experience as always - honestly my boys LOVE going to the dentist. My kids have gone to the same dentist their entire lives (3&9 years old) and we have never had a bad experience. Dr. Hersey and his staff are always pleasant and helpful. My youngest got his first full big boy cleaning and they went out of their way to get a picture to capture the moment for me.....not only this but always give the boys prize coin and a personal pizza from papa Murphy. If only he took care of adults too!!

My two kids have been patients for the last 8 years and I’ve always been happy with the care they’ve received. Dr. Hersey and his staff and always welcoming and professional. He has gone above and beyond by calling us personally to check in with us following a minor dental procedure. No surprises ever which I appreciate.

From start to finish I was absolutely in awe of how wonderful Dr. Hersey and staff were. My only complaint is that they dont see adults! Big giant recommendation from this family!

My son has no fear of the dentist and has come to love and look forward to going! Dr. Hersey is absolutely amazing and so professional but also friendly, patient and compassionate with the kids. I saw the amazing reviews of him and his office and decided to give it a try and I am so happy we did. Even though we have moved further away from his office, I still have him as my son's dentist and make the 40 minute drive. My son has developed great oral care and maintenance habits because of this office. They have really helped him over come his fear and anxiety. Thank you Dr. HERSEY and his staff!!

My children have been seeing Dr. Hersey for over ten years. He and his staff are incredible to work with and are appreciated by my kids.

We have been coming to Dr. Hersey for many years now. The office staff, dental hygienists, and Dr. Hersey are simply wonderful. They squeezed me in earlier than my scheduled appt because I had a conflicting appt later in the day. They had my 3 kids in and out in 30 minutes, everyone was aware of my time crunch. I cannot say enough good things about this office. If you visit once you will never visit anywhere else.

I’ve been taking my kids to Dr. Hersey for years and I always will. He and his staff are fantastic. Very caring and knowledgeable and my kids have never been scared of going to the dentist and actually are excited about it !

I appreciate the care Dr. Hersey and his staff take with my 3 kids. I trust he has their best dental care at heart and doesn’t try to do “more” than necessary. My kids have always been comfortable in his care since they were toddlers.

My 2-year old was nervous about going to her first appointment. The staff and Dr. Hersey did a fantastic job!! She loved walking through the little door. The waiting room was welcoming with books, iPads, and other things for little ones to do. Since it was her first visit she was able to keep the mirror he used to look at her teeth. She thought was so amazing along with all the other little things she received for doing a great job! It was an enjoyable first visit. According to the two year old they also had a really awesome stool in the bathroom to use when washing hands.

Dr Hersey is the best of the best! My kids have seen him since they were babies! He is kind, thorough, gentle, skilled, and he always takes time to really ask and answer questions or explain things for parents. The hygienists are amazing and kind! And the office is gorgeous and kid friendly! After 16 years, I have zero complaints! They are amazingly wonderful!!

Absolutely the best experience!! Office staff was welcoming and friendly. The hygienist was patient and super sweet even when my daughter spit out the mouthpiece for the x-rays. Dr Hersey was fantastic and knew exactly what to do with a scared child! My daughter left excited for her next appointment!

My family has been going to see Dr. Hersey for 7 years. My children love him and his staff, they go out of their way to make sure you and your children are comfortable. They take the time to talk to you and your children in a way they understand. They answer any questions you may have. I would and have recommended Puyallup Pediatric Dentistry to anyone who is looking for a dentist for their family.

There truly isn’t a better dentist than Dr. Hersey. I wish he were MY dentist! He has been the dentist for all 4 of my children and never has any of them had a bad experience. He’s friendly, gentle, reassuring and in addition to that he’s thorough. I can’t say enough about how awesome he is!
