Stuart Bussell

I have never experienced a doctor with such great bedside manors. Dr. Bussell is a great doctor and even better human being. He has been treating my mom with chrons disease for over 15 years.

I met with Dr.Bussell and was so happy with my entire visit. He took time with me and never rushed me. He answered all my questions no matter how silly and reassured me surgery is a good option for my issues but when is completely up to me. I felt so great after my visit with him. I would 200% recommend him. I am happy I found a doctor that was so caring in explaining all of the details having surgery would include. I can now make my choice knowing what surgery entails. Dr Bussell performed life saving surgery on my mother. She is 85 years old. It was a very complicated surgery and there was a 40% chance we wouldn’t survive the procedure. Afterwards, my entire family was on pins and needles not knowing what the next steps were , or what we could expect. Dr Bussell spoke with me everyday. He was direct, informative, and most importantly he was so respectful. He made my entire family feel so much better. He kept us in the loop when we couldn’t get any information. We will be forever indebted to Dr Bussell for saving our mothers life. I can’t say enough about how grateful we are. Thank you!

I am sorry I can’t leave a rating of 100. I have a family history so I’ve had 4 procedures. Dr Bussell was friendly, was not rushed answering all my questions. Was very sensitive with any anxiety regarding the procedure. He has a great easy smile and I have observed him communicating with families in a sensitive caring situation. He gets an A+++++++++ from me.

Doesn’t listen. Acts like he is listening and pretends to care but really thinks he knows it all. Spoke to me in a condescending. Manner.

I can't say enough about what a great surgeon Dr. Bussell is. One of Danbury's best doctors. Hopefully you never have to meet him or need him. But if you do, you're in good hands. Dr. Bussell always took his time when he was with me to make sure I understood my situation, the proposed surgery, and to answer any questions. On my initial consultation, he was with me almost an hour reviewing the CT scans and explaining what the surgery would entail. He made it possible to communicate directly with him, bypassing the need to use the office answering service. 6 weeks after the surgery, I feel GREAT!

I would definitely recommend Dr. Bussell. He is A great doctor and explain everything to you so you could understand and he takes as much time with you as possible. I had surgery in June and I feel great. Every time I see him for a follow up he listens to my concerns and he makes me feel like I’m his only patient. All the girls and nurses who work in his office are awesome. They are very accommodating with the time you need to make an appointment very friendly outgoing. Every time I had to leave a message for one of the nurses they always gotten back to me. I would highly recommend Dr Bussell and his staff grade office great doctor.

Dr. Bussell is the best..super and skilled surgeon ..He saved my life..and I am So very thankful to God for sending Him for my needs.. He explains what we need to know in terms a patient can understand and was there for me every step of the way..I needed a colon resection after havin never me ..I had had a fever the cause could not be located.....a perforated colon ..a small chicken bone was the cause. After many weeks in the hospital I would give Dr. Bussell a 10 if there was one..never had any problems with intestines since. Good plumbing God Bless You Dr. Bussell. Would recommend a second opinion and options to surgery. I have never been the same since the surgery he did on me. I had to keep returning to see him in the office months and months following my surgery, This was uncommon and the doctor said nothing except to keep making appointments. His nurse finally told me that there had been complications with the surgery. It would have been good to know why nothing was going smoothly and it was all shrouded in silence and more and more appointments.

Dr. Bussell operated on me and removed my sigmoid colon due to complicated diverticulitis with a phlegmon abscess. He is the best. Everything was explained to me including exactly what he was going to do and the expected outcome. I recommend him heartily.

I was in the best hands. Dr Bussell is very caring, made me understand what he was doing and why, and was there for me before and after surgery.

Dr. Bussell is an excellent doctor. When I was diagnosed with colon cancer I didn't know what to expect. Dr. Bussell explained everything to me, he was straight to the point but also provided me with comfort. I knew he was the doctor for me, he had a plan and we went on this wild roller coaster together. Him and his wonderful team have been with me every step of the way. I'll be forever grateful. Dr. Bussell cares about his patients and he is a true angel.

Dr. Bussell is ncredibly knowledgeable, friendly and sympathetic to patient concerns. He is always in a great mood and takes his time with patients, addressing any concerns you may have. Couldn't ask for a better doctor.
