if i have a problem, i know Dr. Zimmet will spend time with me to figure it out. I think he's terrific.

The front desk is so rude and wasted my time with meaningless questions. I will never recommend this place to anyone.

I have been a patient of Dr. Zimmet for over 30 years. While you do have to wait sometimes to see him, it is because he is so thorough with his patients. He truly cares about your well-being and is willing to discuss anything with you of importance to your health. As far as the person who said he does not like to be challenged, they are flat out wrong. I challenge him almost every visit with new ideas. He either agrees to try it or will talk to me about other studies that show opposite results.

Dr. Zimmet keeps patients waiting 45-90 minutes. Then he leaves the room to treat either treat other patients or I don't know why and then keeps asking the same question. He is very dismissive and disrespectful. He bills for items that were not even discussed. And his nurse is nurse from hell. His staff, specially the office manager, is very rude. Customer service has gone down.

Does not like to be challenged about poor performance of his practice as well as his medical judgement. Although he made a good first impression the first time, he had no regard for what I was trying to communicate to him nor any respect for me on a follow up appointment. There is nothing worse than being treated as a hysterical child when you have a real and serious illness no one has been able to figure out. Expected much more from someone who trains future doctors at Georgetown.
