Terrible Doctor. Last summer, he misdiagnosed my grandson with poison ivy around the eye and gave him steroids. Ended up being MRSA behind the eyeball. The steroids made the infection grow out of control and the child almost lost his eye if not for the excellent care of the doctors at Cardinal Glennon. He spent almost a week in the hospital to clear this infection up. Fast forward to today. Grandson sick again, called for an appt with dr zenker and are being denied care. Apparently, there is a past due copay and a missed appt in July, so he discharged my grandson as a patient, leaving him no medical care. Office staff is rude. He has no bedside manner. Bad experience with Dr. Zenker. Would not recommend.

Dr. Zenker is one of the best doctors I have ever been to for my son. He pays attention to every detail, and he doesn't make you feel silly if you bring your child in because you are worried. He always says mother intuition is always right....love our doctor. We will never change.

For the love of your child, avoid this "doctor." Several times have taken my child to see him just to hear that he has no idea what is going on and leaves it to the parent to find a specialist without a referral. Ironically, the ER doctors had no problem identifying the infection. Then you will encounter the exorbitant bills if the after hours number is required. To top it off you can show up for an appointment, with the appointment card in hand, and they tell you how it wasn't scheduled properly so the doctor can't see your child unless you are willing to wait several hours to be worked in. The icing on the cake is when you get arbitrary bills for missed appointments that you did not schedule. For some reason Dr. Zenker believe the patient works for him, not him working for the money he so eagerly expects form his patients. You are better off looking elsewhere, for your child's health and your sanity. For the love of your child, avoid this "doctor."
