After trying every nonsurgical procedure that my insurance could possibly put me through for 4 years, my back pain and leg weakness and gotten to the point that I couldn't walk more than a hundred feet without falling. I felt like I was ready to give up hope. Dr. Wray was confident that things could be improved. It is AMAZING!!! The recovery was painful for the first week but quickly showed me that it was the correct decision. Dr Wray recommended a much less invasive surgery for me than another surgeon. Fixed my problem! He and staff very caring and I felt like I was in good hands:

1 month post a 3 level ACDF and happy to report that I feel so good! I don't just let anyone touch my neck so after asking 2 doctors I work with, "who is the beI'm st Neurosurgeon at Piedmont?" they both immediately said Dr. Wray. He came highly recommended by doctors. This surgery and the recovery have been the easiest I have ever had. I went home after 2 hrs in the Recovery room and used very little of a mild pain pill. I didn't lose any movement ability in my neck and all the pain is gone. I can't say enough about how good I feel and looking forward to getting back to life. When I was in P.A.T there were other patients that were Dr. Wray's patients and they all said he came highly recommended to them as well. You can't go wrong with Dr. Wray. I am one happy person following this surgery. I went back to work after 4 weeks but probably could have gone back after 2 weeks. Rest assured you will be pleased with his whole staff as well. Dr. Wray is very thorough and took time to explain my options regarding my symptoms in terms I can understand. He and his staff are extremely professional, courteous and genuinely care about my wellbeing!

Dr. Wray is amazing! He has changed my life. I struggled in extreme pain for 3 years from a herniated disc, I saw a few different doctors and never felt comfortable with their recommendations. After being hospitalized for over a week, I knew I had to do something. After much research and a recommendation, I made an appointment with Dr. Wray. I knew within just a few minutes of meeting him that I was in the right spot and that he was the doctor for me. He performed a lumbar microdisectomy on me a few weeks ago and I am feeling better. His expertise, knowledge, and mostly his compassion are incredible. I am so thankful I found my way to him! I highly recommend Dr. Wray, you will not be disappointed.

Dr. Wray is an amazing doctor. His skill is THE BEST in the country. He takes a genuine interest in his patients and spends the time to explain clearly and in a way that I can understand both the problem and the solution.

Dr. Wray is amazing . Melissa , Jonathan and his post op team are wonderful. After seeing several surgeons from ortho to neuro surgeons Dr. Wray was able to provide solutions. I was terrified of having a spinal fusion but he and his team did everything possible to explain the surgery and the healing process.

Dr. Wray is a miracle worker. After years of pain, he performed surgery and fused L5-S1. Recovery was quick, and I was pain free within a few weeks. Within three months, I ran a 5k and was doing things that I haven't been able to do in years. Thank you Dr. Wray for giving me my life back!

I had a four level neck fusion done by Dr. Wray and was in so much pain and numbness for years before my surgery. After my surgery it was the BEST thing I could have ever had done. I wished I would have done it years prior instead of getting injections of steroids to calm the nerves. Without a question, the most amazing surgeon I have ever had the opportunity to experience. I had back issues, and had to have a microdiscectomy. Dr Wray spent a good deal of time explaining the goals of the surgery, as well as all options that were non-surgical. There was never any pressure to move forward in a particular direction. He also was very capable of demonstrating the issues I was experiencing, and explaining the "why" behind them (often using replica skeletal demo models). I would really like to see Dr. Wray and have tried without success to reach his office to schedule. I was told by email from the office manager that they are not familiar with my healthcare plan. It is Liberty Health shares which is a faith based plan. My PCP files this for me as she is also on the plan and they pay well. Anyway, I understand and explained that I can and will self pay and then file for myself. No response. I have an apt scheduled with another neurosurgeon but want to see Dr Wray

Dr. Wray is a highly skilled neurosurgeon with an impeccable reputation but beyond that he is a wonderful human being. His bedside manner is unmatched, his caring spirit and genuine concern is evident from day one. Four years post neck fusion surgery, he makes himself available to me to answer questions and assist me with other family and friends’ neurological related issues. Dr. Wray was highly recommended by a colleague. I was in pain for over a year and was feeling hopeless thinking that I would never be active again. Dr. Wray's demeanor and bedside manner put me at ease as he guided me through the idea and process of surgery. Dr. Wray preformed a lumbar fusion by fusing L5 to the sacrum. Recovery was much easier than expected, I was back exercising in no time and ran a 10k in less than 5 months. Dr. Wray changed my life!

Had fusion on lumbar area performed by Dr. Wray. Outstanding work by him on my surgery, no issues. Appointments and visitations were on time and very informative. I give this doctor and his staff outstanding reviews. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Wray and his office have been very professional and organized.. I was very nervous and anxious about having back surgery and a fusion. My recovery was much better than I expected. I healed well and have had great follow up with Dr. Wray. I would definitely suggest seeing Dr. Wray before making a commitment/decision with any other Neuro Surgeon.

Dr. Wray has performed three back surgeries for different issues, from severe stenosis to a bone fragment that broke off due to a physical activity, and all have been highly successful. I was able to resume playing tennis, walking and fishing.

I would highly recommend Dr. Wray to anyone who needs a neurosurgeon. I received top notch medical care from Dr. Wray, Melissa his PA, and the entire staff at Atlanta Spine. They were fully accessible, attentive to my needs, and compassionate towards my concerns. This is a professional organization that focuses on the well being of each and every patient. I am very satisfied with the care that I received from Dr. Wray!

Excellent experience for my wife & myself. Dr Wray doesn't talk over your head, he's sincerely interested in his patient not just as a doctor / patient relationship, but as a concerned friend relationship. I would recommend him to any one in need of his services. I might add that his staff is just as friendly and efficient as he is.

Dr. Wray and his staff were easily accessible both prior to and following my surgery. It was a complex surgery and my recovery was monitored and supported efficiently. I recovered quickly and was able to resume my normal activities in a short period of time. I would and have recommended Dr. Wray to others. He is an excellent surgeon and would not recommend surgery unless it were an evident and best case solution for a problem.

I have had multiple surgeries in my life, including additional spine surgery. Dr. Wray is one of the best , if not THE best surgeon I've encountered. I say this from an all-around perspective, not simply his surgical prowess (which is also ample). His bedside manner, knowledge, ability to listen (huge!!) and communicate with the patient are outstanding. I have more spinal surgeries to undergo in the future, and regardless of where I am at that time, Dr. Wray will be performing my surgeries!

I was very pleased with my surgery and he's a awesome doctor.

Researched hard to find the best spinal surgeon. Dr. Wray was easy to talk to, explained everything in great detail and scheduled the surgery right away. I was lucky to be able to see him. Surgery was smooth and I have recovered much faster than most on the internet claimed they've recovered. He even made the incision right on a fold line in my neck so it's almost invisible. My second opinion knew Dr. Wray and highly recommended him, saying he was well known and had "good hands".

I can't express my gratitude enough to Dr Wray and his staff. I am out of pain for the first time in 5 years. I was in a pain management clinic that ran the gambit on all modalities. In short he has the best credentials, skills, knowledge and personality. Of course we did our due diligence and had other opinions, but no other doctor held a candle to this man and his office staff. If you might need surgery go see Dr Wray.
