Dr. Steven Louis Ulc

Dr. Ulc is AMAZING -- I wish I didn't have to leave the practice as a patient. However, The office, and their billing manners leave much to be desired. I called with a grave concern about how my visit went - How they submitted to my health insurance without advising - without telling me they were out of network - and told me I was paid in full that day -- I went for an emergency, which was very well tended to. I was very appreciative and felt blessed to have Dr. Ulc as my Doctor -- I just called today to nicely convey what had happened that day - and had been replied to with: It's not my fault you don't know how your insurance works -- and went on to repeat herself numerous times. When your client has serious concerns about their experience, all you had to do was state that you were sorry, and that you would pass the information on. Very nice eye doctor. Always smiling and kind. Receptionists are also nice and the guy who helps me pick out my glasses.

My family has been going to this office for over 10 years. The staff is fantastic and Dr Ulc has even come in on a holiday weekend for an emergency we had. I’ve moved from Naugatuck and tried other places but always come back for the service I receive here.

I’ve been coming here since I was 14 years old, I am 27 now and have not changed contact brands for the last 3 years. I wear daily true eye contacts and buy one 90 day pack at a time. In the beginning of the year I had a vision exam done, and Dr.Ulc wanted me to try a different brand of daily contacts. I tried them and did not like them due to my active lifestyle. I purchased a 90 pack true eye after the exam. After those ran out, I ordered contacts earlier this week. When I went into the office to pick up my order, they order the contacts that Dr. Ulc has me try. I Was told they could order the correct contacts but I would have to wait until Tuesday. I stated I have softball during the weekend and cannot wait until then. I was then told if I opened the box, I would have to keep them and pay for the correct order. After 13 years of business, you would think I would be treated better. I don’t even live in Naugatuck anymore but I continued to support the office. It’s safe to say they could care less about you, never coming back! Dr. Ulc and his office staff are very professional and his beautiful office is run with expert standards. I had appointments for myself and my three children. Everyone in the office is very welcoming. We did not feel rushed and all our questions were answered completely. Dr. Ulc has years of experience and his exams are very thorough. I would definitely recommend this office for adults and families with children of all ages. There is a large selection of stylish glasses for every budget. Mike the optician has a keen eye for what type of glasses look great on you. Five star rating.
