Dr. Is amazing. Office help (Mindy) not so much. Terrible attitude

Today I Saw Dr. Svabek on Friday, March 24th 2023, In regards to my right & left shoulders which were hurting bad. I have seen Dr. SVABEK 2 times already. I have found Dr. SVABEK to be completely knowledgable, he was very caring & was very compassionate & devoted to All his patients. Dr. Svabek explained everything to me. He knew exactly what I needed. His assistant Christina was delightful she also explained everything to me she was also very caring. Doreen the receptionist was also extremely delightful & extremely caring. I would definitely recommend Dr. SVABEK. Very clean office. Dr. SVABEK is the Best Orthopedic Surgeon in Coral Springs. Dr. SVABEK made me feel very relax & comfortable. Dr. Svabek is thorough and kind. He takes his time to assess the injury and then proposes a course of action. I highly recommend Dr. Svabek. The front staff is also very accommodating and friendly.

I have been treated by Dr. Svabek for several years now for degenerative Osteoarthritis of my knees and bursitis of my left hip. I recently had a total left knee replacement and could not be happier with the results and the progress I am making. Dr. Svabek was on top of the pain management issues and rehabilitation began in the hospital. He set me up with a passive machine that was delivered to my house the day after my release and got me right into Physical Therapy at Broward Health Coral Springs - in my opinion the best place to go for physical therapy. I am still under Dr. Svabek's care and expect to be with him for at least a few more years, as next year 2023 we will take care of the right knee. I have some lower back issues and Dr. Svabek assured me that he will make sure to address that problem if it persists. I highly recommend Dr. Svabek because he is very skilled, knowledgeable and cares about his patients, as if they were members of his family.

The first time breaking anything was a traumatic time for me. Dr. Svabek was a constant source of comfort and with his professional and kind demeanor I went through this stressful time with the least amount of discomfort. Even after the cast for my arm was taken off he stayed with me to tell me about occupational therapy and exercises to do at home. I’m feeling better now and I’m quite confident to do anything with my arm and hand now and I would like to say I would highly recommend this doctor for all your bone issues. I will state now as well his nurse and staff for the office was superior and supreme in all my records and scheduled appointments. Dr Svabek is a amazing doctor, he has one of the best bedside manners I have ever encountered and on top of that he is a wonderful doctor as far as dealing with the pain in my lower back and other areas. I would HIGHLY recommend him over any other Orthopedic he is just one of the best. Thank you Dr Svabek for all you do.

Amazing staff and the Svabek went above and beyond for my mom

Dr. Svabek is absolutely wonderful. He has been taking care of my fractured ankle from the get-go. Unfortunately he is not in my network but I have been able to see him with the help of referrals. He takes the time to explain what has happened and what will happen so I can understand. Amazing "bed-side-manner". I would urge everyone that needs an orthopedic doctor to see Dr. Svabek. Office is nice, clean, and staff is proffessional.

Wasn't Dr. Svabek just investigated by CBS Morning news (1/5/2021) for numerous medical malpractice suits, and a lack of oversight?!

The operator that picked up the phone was hands down the worst I’ve ever spoken to my entire years of living. She kept hanging up when I had things to say. I called at 1:37 when they're supposed to be back from break at 1:30 and rudely said “They’re still on break” in a monotone voice then when I asked “do you accept my insurance” she said “oh I don’t know” which I don’t blame her for not knowing, what I’m upset about is that she hung up without saying “goodbye, have a nice day” or “I’m sorry about the inconvenience, would you like to leave a message?” Nothing, she just hung up fast with no remorse. Even when she answered she sounded like she hated her job. I called again at 1:47, apparently the doctors were still running late? Okay, what in the world is going on? The automated message said they’ll be off break at 1:30 but it’s 1:47, someone is either 1. Lying or 2. Have some very unprofessional doctors. I called at 2:09, I asked her a question, she said no, I was in the middle of asking another question but she hung up. I called back at 2:11 and straight up told her that she hung up before I could finish my next question. I asked if I could speak to a physician and she said due to high call volume they couldn’t speak to me, alright cool that’s fine. However when I asked “ok, could you put me on hold until they’re available” and in the most obnoxious tone, she says “No we don’t do that here” then HANGS UP AGAIN! No “goodbye, sorry about the inconvenience” or “would you like to leave a message?” NOTHING! you’re the operator that’s literally your JOB to ask that! No complaints. I felt very comfortable; detailed information and answered all questions. No rush, took time to make sure that I understood everything he said.

He is more concerned with billing than patient care. I broke my ankle s she did t wait for me to take off my huge walking boot. He declined to check the swelling of my ankle because he was rushing to do billing paperwork. Very poor patient care.

He replaced my right hip and messed it up for life. I will always have a cane. He gave it too much anterior turn and made it 1 1/4” longer than the left. He had all kinds of excuses. Since then I had my left hip replaced with no problems. (Not by him) He was very arrogant. Do not go to him. He was only in the Merrillville area a short time. The hospital he was affiliated with closed his office then I think he went back to Florida.

Every member of Dr. Svabek"s staff are very courteous, attentive, empathetic and professional. Dr. Svabek was punctual, truthful, matter of fact, to the point and laid out all of the options and possible consequences. He answered any and all questions without hesitation. He definitely knows what he is doing. I am very thankful to Dr. Svabek and his entire team. I highly recommend this Orthopedic team. Probably the most unprofessional experience ever. From everyone...Nurse assured me I was covered. Doctor looked at my files and said "next time I see you will be in surgery". No nothing...no questions. But the best,I was not covered by insurance and the office claims that it is my problem. I need to take it up with insurance company. They told me they accepted my plan and now I'm being billed. No discussion, no write off, no compromise. Just a basic...TOUGH. I'm going to pay them $1.00 a week for two and 1/2 years.
