Dr. Steven Adam Shanbom

Had mulitfocal lens installed for cataracts from different doctor, unfortunately. 2020. No support from my original eye surgeon. Second opinion no help. Finally 3rd opinion with Dr. Shanbom. So grateful for his honesty and caring. Wish I saw first time. Staff Is fantastic !! Highly recommend

Went to see him for a stye.... that was getting worse....only for him to tell me that it was still to early for him to do anything ......to keep applying compresses....which I was already doing....and if it didn’t go away in couple weeks to go back and see him.....and maybe put me on antibiotics .or possible lance it.....next day my eye was so bad.and so painful....I had to take 2 days off work......that I went to urgent care and was put on oral antibiotics...and am finally feeling better.... Do not under any circumstance allow him to perform any Laser touch up to your eyes following cataract surgery. He totally ruined my night vision and didn't have the courtesy to apologize for his mistake. Any bright light outdoors at night now causes starbursts so severe it is blinding. I was so impressed with both Dr Shanbom and his staff. I called to make an appointment. Got one in a week. When my ride had the day before off they worked me in early so no one had to take another day off work. Got into office quickly. The staff were all up beat happy people who seemed to care. Insurance was checked and I knew what I would have to pay ahead of time, a real plus. Doctor found the issue quickly and I was on my way home again. I would recommend this office heartliy. Very accommodating to my needs. I was able to come in last minute for an advanced chalazion removal.

I think he's the best eye surgeon and he is the best staff ever everybody's awesome very happy with everyone there I highly recommend them

Dr. Shanbom performed cataract removal and multi-focal lens implants in both eyes in May 2016. My vision improved immediately-I don't need prescription glasses anymore-and the only problem I've had is dry eye, which does occur in some patients. The staff and Dr. Shanbom have given me sample eye drops and done their utmost to get my provider to approve the prescription drops he wants me to use. I had extra office visits because of this problem and everyone is always helpful, informative and kind!

Dr. Shanbom is an outstanding surgeon and an even better person. He cares about his patients and explains everything very carefully and patiently. He performed laser cataract multi focal lens surgery on both of my eyes last year. I no longer need glasses and I can see perfectly. I can drive at night without any problem and I feel 20 years younger. I could not possibly ask for a better ophthalmologist than Dr. Shanbom. I recommend him to anyone in need of eye care or surgery. I give Dr. Shanbom and his entire office staff a 5 out of 5 rating. My eye Optometrist recommended Dr. Shambom to me with his highest recommendation. I found Dr. Shanbom to be calm, confident, and a very nice man. He immediately put me at ease. He did cataract surgery on both my eyes using the latest lenses available which correct long distance and close up (reading). I offer my highest recommendation for Dr. Shanbom and his entire office staff who are great. Dan Larabell

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS DOCTOR OFFICE. THE BILLER IS RUDE AND HANGS UP ON PATIENTS THAT HAVE ACUTE EYE ISSUES GOING ON. IF OOKING FOR CARING DOCTOR OFFICE DO NOT PICK THIS ONE. MANDY IS NONCARING AS WELL. DO NOT CARE ABOUT PATIENCE NEEDS

Got Lasik here.. Dr. Shanbom and his team made sure I was comfortable and informed throughout the whole process and now I can barely believe I can see perfectly without my glasses! Best feeling ever, thanks Dr. Shanbom!

I only refer my patients to the same doctors I would refer my family if they had any eye-related issues. I trust Dr. Shanbom, as he has done procedures on my sister with great success. I just got LASIK through their facility a week ago, and the process was very thorough, the staff were accommodating, and the surgical environment was relaxing.
