I went here about 3 years ago on recommendation of a friend, whom really enjoyed the doctor. Now, I didn't realize until I showed up for the appointment but the office is somewhat specialized for aging eyes and specific eye conditions. I was only around 17 at the time, and while I have incredibly sensitive eyes I don't have any out of the norm conditions. To note, I just recently learned that I have astigmatism in both eyes, and have had light and pressure sensitive eyes my entire life. There are no childhood photos of me looking at the camera without crying until I was about 12 years old because camera flashes physically hurt, and would make my eyes water incessantly. The appointment began well, I mentioned that I was interested in contacts but didn't have an interest in them at this time, because I have sensitive eyes and am incredibly flinchy when things get too close to them. Until this year I was unable to take a glaucoma test because they are completely involuntarily that sensitive. The appointment began well and he seemed friendly initially. From the beginning of the eye test my eyes began to lightly water immediately as soon as we started in with the eye chart and covering one eye at a time. When we got to the air puff and the bright light directly in front of your eye, it took me multiple tries to get through it, as like I said, it PHYSICALLY HURTS ME. It took no more than 5 minutes to get through both tests but regardless he was getting incredibly frustrated and commented that contacts probably wouldn't ever be possible for me. He then lead me to a waiting room before the second half of the exam, where I waited for 45+ minutes. I understand that though, as it was a little backed up. When it came time for me to look at the in office glasses selection, I was prepared to buy glasses on the spot, but before he would let me go into the optical he asked if I had eyeglass insurance coverage. I didn't, don't and never will. We went back and forth for a solid two minutes about whether I should go and look at them since I didn't have insurance (mind, I had an entire check saved for this appointment, and was prepared to buy that day, cost wasn't an issue). I realized he wasn't going to LET ME look at the glasses so I just told him I would come back later. At the end of the exam when I went to pay for my exam they CHARGED me for a copy of my rx. This is completely ILLEGAL as optical offices are legally obligated to give you a copy of your ex. Being 17 and not having worked in an optical office yet I didn't know any better. They later sent me a check for $10, so I'm guessing someone caught on and made them refund patients. I guess they expected me to not have money for glasses because I was young and uninsured, but they could have very easily made $400 out of me that day. Really, if you don't HAVE to come here, don't. Best place, friendly, fast and effective!

I would not recommend going there..I called for first time appt.. Very unprofessional and rude..Especially a girl named Michelle .. I decided not to go there..horrible..
