Great doctor and human being! I have had 3 surgeries and issues over the past 8 years. My husband was also treated by and had surgery performed by Dr Petrou. He is a spectacular surgeon. He is knowledgeable, kind and great personality to boot. Hands down the best urologist.

Dr. Petrou is the best Urologisr/ surgeon in his field. I was traumatized from a surgery and he got me back on track with his caring, attitude and competent surgical skills. I and my family are very thankful for his dedication!

I recently had surgery performed by Dr Petrou for a transobturator mid urethral sling and anterior repair. Dr Petrou has an excellent bedside manner and genuinely cares about the well-being of his patients. I had a slow recovery but Dr Petrou explained every detail throughout my recovery process. He listens to any questions or concerns you have. I had the surgery due to incontinence among other issues. I am 4 weeks out from my surgery and I am so excited that my incontinence problems have been fixed! I am already noticing a huge difference! It was very frustrating for me to have incontinence at only 48 yrs old, and I feel like a new woman since the surgery! I highly recommend Dr. Petrou! All of his staff at the Mayo Clinic are wonderful! The Chief Resident Kevin Parikh, MD whom I met with at my initial appointment was so attentive to my concerns and really listened to all of my symptoms, and I am so grateful that Dr Parikh consulted with Dr Petrou and Dr Myers has been very helpful!

Dr. Petrou did a Urinary Sphincter procedure on me in August of 2020 at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville. I was thoroughly pleased with the outcome. With all the urinary problems I had Dr. Petrou was able to help me out. The staff at Mayo are all fantastic. Dr. Petrou and staff explained the entire procedure to me and made me feel very comfortable about the whole procedure. Dr. Petrou is a very caring person and he will take as much time with you as needed to answer all your questions. Dr. Petrou gave me a new leases on life and I thank God every day I was led to this wonderful doctor. I would highly recommend Dr. Petrou to everyone. He is a fantastic doctor and individual. Could not be more pleased.

Dr Petrou has completed more than 5 procedures on me. I can't say enough good things about him, but I will list some: caring .. extensive knowledge in field but still explain so you fully understand... patiently take time with you.. listen to not just your questions but even your concerns and comments about what you think... and he make you feel that he sincerely cares about you. I have been having constant UTIs. I have had so many of them that my stomach and intestines has been destroyed by over use of antibiotics, thanks to the Veteran's Hospitals. I have had C-diff 4 times. I finally went to Mayo Clinic and Dr. Petrou has kept me alive for the last two years. Highly recommend him.

I had undergone 4 surgeries in Melbourne, FL for urinary incontinence associated with prostate cancer surgery. Then I drove up to Mayo Clinic JAX and met with Dr. Petrou. He scheduled 2 days of procedures to determine if he could clean up the mess created by the Melbourne surgeon. I was in surgery with Dr. Petrou within a week. Surgery was successful and my life is now back to normal. Excellent communicator; highly skilled surgeon; expert supporting staff; best of the best in this medical field.
