Would recommend Dr. Melhorn.

I first visited this practice about 35 years ago, on advice from a fellow golfer about back pain. Steve's dad quickly recognized that my left leg was 3/16" longer than my right, and gave me a shim to wear in my shoe. All these years later, and his son is my primary physician. Steve is solid on GP stuff, and great on sports/injury stuff. If your back hurts, this is a good place to start. Dr. Melhorn and his staff were incredible! Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Dr. Melhorn ended up having to relieve the pressure from a smashed nail, and he absolutely the only doctor in Richmond that I would have trusted to do it!

The office staff is very nice, and Dr. Melhorn was nice. I don't feel that when it comes to manipulation that he is really listening to the body as I've experienced other D.O.'s doing. He put me on a machine that has been around from the 50's, had his nurse come in, but not him. It was not the correct thing for me. My issue was resolved (back) but another one created from this machine and I've had chronic pain for the past 2 weeks.

Dr. Melhorn is an outstanding doctor. 25 years ago I began going to him for my back pain and over the years we moved to his practice for family practice as well. He uses amazing techniques for back pain relief with minimal or no prescriptions needed. I have recommended him to many friends with back issues over the years and have heard nothing but praise. Note: I still use Nancy Armstrong for my GYN 0f 25 years.
