Reviews for Dr. Steven D. Lampinen
wonderful, caring. I've been a patient for 20 years
Dr. Lampinen and his amazing staff are always there for me and my late husband. They have helped tremendously when I thought the worst was coming, but they pulled me through. Dr. Lampinen knows what I need to make me better and keep myself fit. I love all of them for all their support.

Takes the time to listen to my concerns and answers my questions. Does a great job of helping and explaining what he feels may be the problem
The office staff are very pleasant. Dr. Lampinen is very cordial, listens and understands unique situations. I was able to get the Rx I was seeking. I am very grateful.

Dr. Lampinen is one of the most intelligent doctors I have met. He's also very funny and caring highly recommend...Did I mention he has an exam room that's Batman themed? This doc is awesome.
Worst doc I have ever had.Asked him to use extensive tests and bloodwork from ER visit a few weeks before so I could get rolling on controlling high blood sugar. He agreed. He didn't and ordered a boilerplate panel of his own. Left message at office asking him to please send me to someone to get at least started on this. No response. Then I had to call his after hours private number for an emergency and left a message. No response there at all. Two days later I called office to find out why. He was given the message and no response. I called MDvip and cancelled. I also let them know it is illegal for a doctor to not provide care without at least 15day written notice to patient. Hmm, got a voicemail a couple of hours after that, prolly on advice of his attorney. Just now he posted review acknowledging broke foot. Like an hour after this post. What a jerk. And np notes from portal until like an hour ago after this review. Now its,all nice and tidy for court Worst doc I have ever had.Asked him to use extensive tests and bloodwork from ER visit a few weeks before so I could get rolling on controlling high blood sugar. Dr Lampenin appeared to be a very caring Dr how ever after he agreed to handle a chronic condition all he did was lie to me about the legalities of it in 3 years I got 0 well checked And when I really needed him when I was in the hospital he read a false report dropped me and did continued a medicine I need and have been taking for 20 years save your money he also put defamatory information in my records of a diagnosis he didn’t make and a report he didn’t do . Then sent it to another doctor trying to hurt me all he could . Moving from Indianapolis to Las Vegas was great at my age. Healthy and just need a couple Rx filled with blood work. Finding out you have to pay over $1000.00 to see a PCP is mind blowing. Dedicated integrity knowledge and fights for his patients. He’ll keep you well and alive. He doesn’t shortcut nor limit his time or availability. If you’re accustomed to working with winners you’ve found him.
Dr. Lampinen is the best PCC in Las Vegas the only sadness or disappointment I have in regards to his practice is the fact that I can not afford MDVIP. I seen some great reviews on here about him and some not so great..... the not so great that are on here is a surprise to me. I did participate with MDVIP for a little while. I received nothing but VIP service the only difference between him being a MDVIP doctor vs when he wasn't is I had no or little lobby wait time. Dr. Lampinen gave all his patience VIP service before and after he became apart of MDVIP. If MDVIP was in my budget I would not hesitate to sign up again. You will not be disappointed if you sign up and if you are disappointed, then your signing up for the wrong doctor cause you will need to get your head checked to not want Dr. Lampinen as your doctor. Worst doc ever. Never responded to calls. Even emergency after I broke my foot and it was turning black and swelling pushing ankle sideways two days later He did not call back after voicemail or even the next day. I called office and they gave him message, and still no response , until called MDvip. I I formed them that it us illegal to discontinue care without written notice. The the jerk left a message, but o ly inquiring about call day before. This was prolly on advice of his attorney, because all of a sudden the next day, he filled my online doc notes with ridiculous stuff. This included a no show for an appointment I never had, so not only is he a bad doc, but a lying piece of s***
Didn't listen, just gave me boilerplate tests. Doesn't return calls, even an emergency after hour call when I needed to know if I had to go back to ER. Never in office. Went concierge to get away from crap Vegas doctors and ended up with worst doc I have ever had

Maria Ryan are the best very short waited however after 3 yrs he betrayed my trust lied and included a 3 rd party test as part of his records to defame me as well as deliberately putting me in withdrawal for 20 plus days I’m 64
I enrolled in the MDVIP Program which is a concierge based system that is designed to provide a better medical experience for patients. The cost was $3,000 for my wife and I. I selected Dr. Lampinen as my physician of choice based on three factors: 1) He was accepting patients, 2) He would see babies/children, 3) Location. My appointment was scheduled for 10 a.m. I received no instruction to arrive early, advance paperwork nor confirmation email / phonecall. I arrived at 9:47 a.m. The reception area is shared with another physician and there are two reception desks on opposing sides. The other doctor's area was lively, bright, TVs were on and a handful of persons were being serviced. Conversely, Dr. Lampinen’s desk was empty and the lights were off. The area appeared closed. There was one other patient on this side of the waiting room. I signed in. There was one name ahead of mine. She arrived at 9:30 a.m. for a 10:30 a.m. appointment time. I sat down and waited. After 15 minutes someone showed up to one of the rear workstations with her back to the lobby. She didn’t review the sign in sheet nor greet anyone. She was eating breakfast at her desk. I got up and asked if there was some paperwork to fill out. Through a mouthful of food, she told me she would get someone. A second admin appeared and provided me with standard paperwork. For a VIP experience, I expected the documents in advance or at least electronic versions to complete. I finished the paperwork at approximately 10:08 a.m. Around that same time, the woman with the 10:30 a.m. appointment was seen. I waited approximately 30 minutes longer and was called back. A woman took some preliminary information (weight, height) and my vitals and I was told to wait and the doctor would be in shortly. The doctor came in at exactly 11 a.m. He was friendly and seemed personable. I interrupted the normal introductory banter and recounted what I’ve documented here. I told him that it was unacceptable and the primary reason for enrolling in the concierge service was to avoid wait times and have a VIP experience. He apologized profusely and offered a wide variety of excuses. For example, the air conditioning is malfunctioning so the reception team was keeping the lights off to help keep the area cool. He didn’t have an explanation for the 10:30 a.m. appointment being seen first, but acknowledged that it shouldn't happen. He could not explain the lack of customer service or not having personnel present. He noted that all of his reviews were positive and my experience was uncharacteristic. He asked if I would prefer to reschedule, continue or end the visit. I elected to end the visit and requested that my paperwork be returned. When I left the office, I called MDVIP and described what transpired. They also apologized. They asked if I would like to see another physician. I explained that when I first enrolled there were no other physicians that met my criteria (accepting new patients and seeing babies). I requested a refund for the $3,000. The polite woman on the phone told me she would call the physician’s office to follow up and process the requested refund. I worry that he may retire before I'm done. He listens to me and understands my concerns. I love him. I've been seeing him for 15 years now.
Dr Lampinen is a truly caring physician who’s primary interest is the quality of life he can assist with his patients lives. His staff is very friendly and tuned into the same thought process.
Incredibly attentive and "Sherlock Holmes" when it comes to diagnosis.

I called in to set up an appointment and Daisy answered the call. She asked if I was a current patient and I advised her I was a new patient. She asked if I was a MDVIP. When I advised her that I was not, she hung up on me.

I have seen Dr. Lampinen for 10+ years. I love him! He is professional but easy going and he genuinely cares about his patients. His office staff has been working with him for years. Even though he is not on my preferred provider list for insurance I still go see him. I don't mind that I have to pay out-of-pocket. I will continue to see him as long as he is practicing medicine.

Dr. Lampinen is the best, most knowledgeable, most professional, and most compassionate Doctor I have ever had. He knows exactly how to listen to his patients, take plenty of time and care, and thoroughly meet his patients' needs and far exceed their expectations. I would recommend anybody who is unhappy with their doctor, or who is potentially looking for a quality compassionate family doctor who knows how to put his patients' needs first, to seek the care of Dr. Lampinen for the entire family.

He takes the time to really listen to me. It is not assembly line medicine, where the Dr. has 2 minutes to do everything. He cares and he is thorough.
