I was peeing blood a few days ago and blood clots preventing me from being able to urinate. I saw Dr Johnson and he told me he had to do surgery right away to save my life and HE did. Thank you Dr Johnson for saving my life longer with stage 4 bladder cancer you are MY hero

He completely misdiagnosed my Prostate condition and simply doesn't care. Sent me out of his office with a lifetime prescription for Tamsulosin which is a get out for Urologists who do not understand the Prostate. And of course wanted me back monthly to get his hands on the Medicare money!

Good and well versed urologist. I recommend him.

Dr was thorough, deliberate & precise. He communicated well. I was confident of his credentials and surgical skills. I will continue to have Dr. Johnson as my urologist.

Dr Johnson was very professional and succinct about my conditions. He was very easy to communicate with and I appreciated his candor.

My husband went for a check up only to be hit with a 533 office visit charge the doctor was only in the room 10 minutes max this is crazy only to be told by the billing and office that they bill according to falls we r not in Dallas

I have been severely ripped off. As a prostate cancer survivor, I have to have an annual PSA test. I have never before paid more than $30 for the lab results after taking the test at Dr Johnson’s consulting rooms . It is worth adding that I have now retired, and have to survive on a minuscule pension and low social security (I am a permanent resident who only began work in America just over a decade ago). I took my annual PSA test at Dr Johnson’s this year, but was not informed that several other things were being tested. If I had known, I would have asked for the PSA only. A month or so later I was landed with a UT Southwestern bill for $562. This is crushing — the very sort of “shock” medical bill that you hear about on the radio. I would suggest that everyone be very careful. You may not be informed of everything — although you should be. I have been severely ripped off. Dr. Johnson is an incredible person and a brilliant Urologist! He saved my life from a serious Cancer situation. Trust him!.

It has been a nightmare with Dr. Stephen Johnson and his staff. I was diagnosed with prostate cancer back in October. On multiple occasions, his staff refused me to see my own records, violation of HIPPA. It took a little over 6 months to have surgery to remove the prostate and lymph nodes. One of which also came back positive for cancer. Today, I was scheduled for a telehealth appt. to get my results from my lab test and find out if they got all the cancer or if I needed more treatment. Doctor was a no show for the appt. When dealing with cancer, time is of an essence along with professionalism. Neither seems to be available here.

Dr. Johnson explained everything very well, was compassionate when delivering news that was less favorable and encouraging when helping suggest treatment. My bladder issue is an ongoing issue, not yet resolved and Dr. Johnson has shown patience, kindness and much compassion in giving me time to make an educated decision on treatment. Medical treatment as well as the "human side" of the office visit and testing, is often a touchy subject these days, but I was pleased to find that people DO matter at Dr. Johnsons office. He and his staff are to be commended in that they treated me with dignity, respect and made me feel less embarrassed than I know many offices would have left me feeling when dealing with such invasive testing. Thank you Dr. Johnson and to your wonderful staff as well.

Front Desks with Lauren and Amber is Very Rude!!!!!!

I attended my first appointment with Dr Johnson spending 3 hours in his office while only spending 10 minutes with him. He was a full 3 hours behind schedule at 1030 A.M. My second appointment, I purposely booked the first appointment hoping to avoid this problem. I arrived, payed my copay, went to the room, only to learn he was in emergency surgery. The promised 30 minute delay became 90, then 120. I redressed, approached the staff, and was informed he still was not onsight. I demand a refund for my copay, which was granted and also asked to speak to the Dr via phone call, which I never received. Dr. Johnson cares not about his patients time, regularly scheduling patients whilst on call. This method of double dipping is an aggregious form of greed, patient herding, and total disrespect for you as a patient. Furthermore, if you fail to cancel an appointment within 24 hours, regardless of the reason, he bills you $50.00. However, in a final act of hypocrisy, he does not hold himself to the same standard. He should, by his own policy, compensate customers the same $50.00 he would have charged you for not showing up. I've tried to discuss my grievances with him but he does not possess the professionalism to return a phone call. Only the most desperate should consider Dr Johnson as his priority is dollars over patient care. Rated 1 star only because 0 stars is not available. Lance M. Very knowledgeable surgeon and works fast. A little rough around the edges when it comes to caring about pain management (stents effing hurt) but he doesn't leave you around with one. His staff is superb and always shows compassion and caring.

Love this office.

I had a MASSIVE kidney stone the size of a jellybean in the middle of the night and was in the worst pain of my life (even compared to childbirth which I had done 3 times). He first met me in the ER when the ER doc read my scan wrong and was going to send me home with pain meds. He was the urologist on call and INSISTED that he look at my scans before they discharged me. He said the stone was twice the size the ER doc had said (which was true) and insisted on keeping me to put a stent in. He was in surgery all day and couldn’t fit me in until late in the afternoon to put the stent in. He made sure I was completely out of pain that whole day before my surgery. I had the stent for 2 weeks and then he did laser surgery to remove the stone. But he didn’t stop there. I had several more stones in my kidney (none that big but close to it) so he went into my kidney and blasted them apart as well. That wasn’t the original plan but he did it to make sure I didn’t need future surgeries. He could have left them in so he could bill me for multiple stone removal surgeries but didn’t. He took care of all of it the first time. I haven’t had a stone for at least 2 years now because of that. He was professional as was his office staff after I went in for my check-ups. I have a yearly exam and he schedules me a year out, for the next visit, to make sure I don’t forget and so I don’t have anymore stones. I would recommend him to anyone with urology issues. We have always been treated well at this office. Both my husband and I are patients here. We had to go through a very stressful time with my husband's cancer Dr. Ruddell performed the surgery necessary to treat him and he has been cancer free. We are very happy with the staff and the Drs here.

I was so impressed with Dr. Johnson. Not only did he listen. He took time to explain everything and helped set me on the right path to get the treatment needed. Very kind and compassionate person. I will definitely recommend him.

Rude and poor quality care. Office made mistake because they didnt have internet up the day of appointment two years ago sent me away . And now turns me away saying i stood up appointment. Sorry cant take you after ive been waiting five days with kidney stones out of hospital over weekend. Joke!
