Very clean lobby and exam rooms. Doctor was very accommodating and knowledgeable.

They are the best, from Dr.Hopson down to his staff. #1 Dr.Hopson cares about his patients and he makes sure his staff reflects the same thing. I had a rare sarcoma and I was a patient of his for 5 months 3 surgeries to remove the cancer and he got the job done He does not have an ego, he does not mind reaching out to other doctors to make sure he is giving you the best care. I would recommend him as surgeon because he is excellent I was blessed God sent me to him. Leann his nurse practitioner was excellent as his nurses and whole staff. Thank you Dr. Hopson and your staff.

Update. I had complications after my hernia surgery by Dr. Hopson. I was told I needed another surgery to repair these complications. I was never told I needed an urologist to perform the necessary surgery. Dr.Hopson made an incision and placed a drain in my abdomen that did absolutely nothing.I was told this was just something I was going to have to live with. After two years of enduring the misery of these botched procedures I had to have another Surgeon repair the same hernia for the second time. I also had a separate procedure to repair the complications from Hobson's surgeries. This was done correctly by an Urologist this time. Visited Dr. Hopson regarding a hernia repair. Just called this week to schedule an appointment for the procedure. Was on hold for 48 minutes trying to do so . Was cut off twice as the surgical coordinator’s mail box was full as was the answering machine. Complete incompetence! This is a very poor reflection on the doctors in this group as well as TPMG. The receptionist stated the coordinator would return my call and it hasn’t happened. Dr. Hopson has very good reviews but if one is unable to contact him, I suggest you select a new doctor as his front office is a sham!

Dr.Hopson performed three hernia repairs on me.He’s an outstanding surgeon and I have the utmost confidence in him and if it’s found out that I may need further surgery done trust and believe he will be the one doing my surgeries

My husband had put off hernia surgery for over 5 years when it finally became a red alert time. Dr. Hopson listened and explained in layman's terms the whole procedure and all the what ifs. He was so compassionate in listening and helping to make arrangements to get this done ASAP. The follow up was reassuring to the success of the surgery. Follow-up from hernia repair surgery on June 5th. Dr. Hopson removed the suction tube from my side that was installed after surgery.

I just love him. He's very friendly, takes time with you, and he was even prepared to go the extra mile to ensure my surgery was done and successful.

Him and his staff are very knowledgeable personable and efficient . I would recommend his office to anyone who is having possible hernia issues.

Knowledgeable, speaks in language I can understand, isn't quick to do surgery unless necessary, staff responds promptly to questions and he is easy to deal with when you are in acute pain.

If god was a human he’d be like Dr. Hopson and staff, an absolute pleasure to put my injuries in their hands. Knowing they had the tools and expertise to solve my injuries and now I’m on the road to recovery. Thanks guys

Dr Hopson did an excellent job with my outpatient surgery (Lipoma removal).The nursing staff at Mary Immaculate were very professional and took good care of me. I highly recommend him and his staff.

I've had an inguinal hernia since I was a child and finally for the first time of getting surgery from Dr Hopson was a blessing cause I was in so much pain. Now Im happy to say no pain no problem....so I thank him and his team for that experience and have me feel better

Dr. Hopson did a good job repairing my hernia. He clearly explained the procedure, answered all of my questions, including responding to a question on the weekend. I really appreciate his care.

Dr Hopson and his team exceeded my expectations. No long waits at the office, he explained all questions confidently and his bedside manner was like I was I was talking to a friend. And the surgery and recovery time was much better than I had hoped for too. Great job everybody !!!

Dr. Hopson was A1 in every aspect of my surgery from the first time I met him to my last follow up. He took plenty of time to explain everything and reassured me with his confidence in the procedure. Friendly beside manner and no BS talk. I would gladly see him again if future surgery were needed.

Extremely upsetting when you call to make an appt and they refuse unless you have a referral from your PCP. I pay extra for the insurance I have so that I do not have to spend money seeing my PCP to get a referral. It is also very frustrating when you ask your PCP for the referral and they say they have sent it only Dr Hopson's office conveniently can not find it, but still will not make an appt before you can get one to their office. So to see him I have had to take the day off to see my PCP. Call Dr. Hopson's office to make an appt only to be told no referral no appt. So then call my PCP who states they sent it. So now if I want to see him I have to take the day off to get the referral and take it to their office so I can make an appt to take another day off for the appt. This OFFICE policy sucks!!!! I have had the run around, need surgery for 2 hernias, told I had to put $468.98 half of the surgery price, never heard of such. I have insurance , they said that is crazy and so I called around other Surgeons and they said they have never heard of such. I could understand if someone didn't have insurance. I now have a new Dr. that will be doing the surgery. Check everything out ahead of time. I had a hernia repair requiring it to be an open surgery as there was too much scar tissues and multiple hernias to be able to do it laparoscopic. I am post op 12 days now and still having a lot of pain but Dr Hopson refused to give me a script for something stronger than OTC. I had 20 pills when I left the hospital and even took Tylenol in between so I wouldn’t be so dependent on the percocet even though it said take as needed every 4 hrs. I am now 12 days out and asked the dr for another script as the pain is still at an 8 at times. Im very upset. This is the 1st review I have ever done but I want people that are going to be going thru this kind of surgery to do the research. Yes Dr Hopson is a Hernia specialist but if he is unwilling to help with pain management you are in for a longer and more painful recovery. With all this hype about the Opiod addiction I realize it needs to be addressed but it needs to be per patient because if someone is asking for narcotics a lot and running out quickly obviously they are more likely to be abusing the meds whereas I am not. Technically if you take the meds as prescribed you would be out in 3-4 days! I am on day 12 post op. Also Percocet is a drug that has to be signed for and can be traced to the individual so you can see if someone is likely to be abusing. I’m sorry if this seems like a crazy rant but to go through a surgery like this is major and if you use a Dr that doesn’t want or care to help with the pain post op it will be a painful and long recovery and this should be a question for your Dr pre surgery to help you decide. If I would have thought to ask where they stand in pain management before hand I would not have gone with Dr Hopson for the surgery. Great Doctor and great staff. Made a bad situation (for me) tolerable. I appreciate the professional and personable attitude.

Doctor Hopson and his staff were very courteous and he was willing to answer questions prior to surgery about umbilical hernia, thus decreasing my anxiety due to this procedure. My progress went well as of three days after surgery with very little pain. I would recommend him to my friends.

Dr's office has most un-empathetic staff in the whole world. You see a dr. when there is a medical need, I don't want to deal with staff with attitude. If as a dr. you can't teach your staff courtliness and ability to empathize, then BEHAVIOR is either PROMOTED BY you or your FAILURE TO MANAGE your own staff.

Dr. Hospon, MD is a (Amazing Doctor)... He is the 1st Surgeon that I have met, since I've have relocated to this state, that shows his Patients (Me) Soo much care.. I met him on Aug 13, 2017 in so much abdominal pain (intestine blockage) that he took time out to slowly explain to me, 2- options to go about taking care of this emergency matter. Dr. Hopson recently completed my surgery on an inguinal hernia, which caused me trepidation and anxiety. Dr. Hopson' manner was easy going, straight-forward, and precise. He took time to fully explain the procedure and calmed my anxiety. He also called me at home, every night to see how I was doing, which is unusual today. I have the highest regards for Dr. Hopson and his staff, who were friendly, courteous and helpful.
