Dr. Heath was not thorough with my physical. Tried to clear my ear of wax, ended up causing a lot of damage and couldn't even help the problem. 6 hours after my visit experience a lot of pain, and even bleeding from my ear where he tried to work. My friend, who is a refugee, was a patient at Dr. Heath's clinic, Olympus Family Medicine. Her first visit went well, insurance billed, and the labs were paid for out of pocket. She returned for a second visit for a dizzy spell. Unfortunately the $95 bill was misplaced. I often help her with her bill paying but somehow this one slipped by. When she was ill recently I attempted to make an appointment but they declined her as a patient since she missed the bill. I immediately paid the bill at the collection agency. When I asked for an appointment for her and offered to pay cash for the visit they still would not see her. They had no compassion for her even as I guaranteed payment. I would never recommend them.

I would NOT recommend Dr. Heath. As the other reviewers noted, he isn't thorough and he rushes. Nice enough guy and communicates well, but I didn't see him for that. I returned from Africa with some sort of infection and extreme digestion/bowel upset and was worried I might have malaria. He said he'd do a malaria test, he did not. Then he tested for other stuff. When my labs came back, he told me "everything was in normal range." I looked at the labs myself (lay person) and noticed that they were NOT in range. In fact, in bold red, it said my eosinophils were out of range. Apparently this can suggest parasitic infection. I went to U of U Travel Clinic at that point and they found that I had giardia and cryptosporidium infection. I would say, my primary doctor at the clinic is Dr. Romo, and I thought she was fantastic and very thorough, so the practice as a whole, may be fine. I would NOT recommend Dr. Heath. Dr. Steven Heath rushes a bit and doesn't have the best bedside manor (he's strait to the point); however, if you are intelligent and informed when it comes to your own care he lets you be a part of it. He doesn't have the same know-it-all-ness or arrogance that other doctors have. But he also typically makes good decisions about your care and is generally more knowledgeable than other doctors (thus he doesn't need to be defense and can consider good input. Dr. Heath was very personable and really cared about us. He spent the time to help answer all our questions and concerns.

Dr Heath and his sidekick Pat his awesome nurse have saved me from dying a lot of times. They are both the bomb 20 plus years I've been seen by them both if they retire I guess I'm screwed. Thank you, both for your services.

Dr Heath is great. Professional and personable. I appreciate his honesty and strait forward approach. Medical issues are not to be sugar coated.

I was forced to switch primary doctors when I switched over to BCBS in 2005. For starters, the office was a joke, unorganized and inattentive. Then I met Dr. Heath. I never felt so disrespected from any other doctor as if I was taking his precious time. On the second visit, he told me to drop my pants because he needed to check my prostate. At age 30! That was the last straw. I switched doctors and never looked back. So yes, I will continue to give this guy a negative review and hope no one will

I have been seeing Dr. Heath for years now. He's been really great. He listens to what I need, is really friendly and easy to talk to, and genuinely cares about his patients. He even has a secure system to contact his patients directly, and has followed up with me to make sure everything is going well. I've never had a Dr. put that amount of time and effort in.

Best ever, a bit on the quick side on visits
