Dr. Harris is simply amazing. He is thorough, present and informative. I always have a lot of questions for him and he patiently engages/discusses each topic with me at length. I recently had a difficult pregnancy that resulted in late term loss. I was so grateful to have him and his team to help us navigate such an incredibly challenging situation. Another plus- he is typically on time with appointments and his nurse, Stephanie, is fantastic!

Dr Harris is a friendly, personable, knowledgeable, attentive doctor. He has been my ob/gyn for 14 years now, has cared for me through 4 pregnancies, delivered 3 of my babies (his partner was on call for a middle of the night delivery for my first), and took prodigious care of me when I had a miscarriage. At the hospital during my miscarriage, the staff weren’t moving fast enough and I needed an emergency D&C. He got them moving and made sure I was taken care of and he saved my life. I recommend him to everyone that asks for my opinion. Thanks for everything, Dr Harris! ???? (This review says it’s by Bill but I’m his wife. :)

The most professional, knowledgeable, polite, courteous, friendly, patient, honest, concern and treat each patient with respect and honesty. I have no regrets after Dr. Harold Waldrep refer me to a wonderful and great doctor who not only listen and genuine, but go way beyond any of my expectations as well as his entire staff.

Doctor Harris is the best doctor. I only wished he could be my regular doctor as well. He has great bed side manner. He is very friendly and caring.

Dr Harris was great on our first child. Second child- experience has not been great at all!!!! My poor wife has been really sick, not able to hold any food. We called several times to speak with the nurse and it took days for the nurse to call back. After one week of calling and calling and calling, we were able to get an appointment with Dr. Harris, he ordered lab test, we waited another week for the results (this is 3 weeks of my wife not eating anything at all) we got the results back and they told us that “everything looks normal”. We made the decision to look for a second opinion. My wife is being treated and she is doing a little better (at least we know what is going on). After the 3rd week, the nurse call my wife again to tell her that she needs to have another lab test, so my wife asked her what type of lab test was it, and she said it is the same one you had before they were not done correctly. It is ridiculous that a professional Doctor made a pregnant woman who is also sick, made her wait almost 4 weeks to get lab results. Im very disappointed at this! I recently moved to Dallas and was in desperate need of a OB/GYN doctor. I kept looking through my In-Network options through my insurance and nobody stood out to me. Well fast forward a couple months and I had 3 ER visits all due to abdominal/low abdominal pain and nobody could figure out what was wrong with me to the point that I was beginning to feel a little crazy. When I got out of my third ER visit, the ER doctor at Medical City told me to visit a GI doctor but something told me to try one more time to look for an OB/GYN. I prayed and really felt like I was led to Dr. Steven Harris. He took out the IUD I had through a surgical procedure and in the process he suggested we do laparoscopic surgery to try to see where all my pain was coming from. Dr. Harris discovered that what I was suffering from was ENDOMETRIOSIS and that is something that is very hard to diagnose because most doctors don’t know what to look for. Endometriosis has no cure but Dr. Harris has gone above and beyond to make my husband and I feel welcome and truly cared for every time we see him, always exploring ways to make my situation less uncomfortable/painful. The only negative thing I would have to say is that Terry, his nurse, has more than once made me feel like I am not worth her time every time I’ve tried to call Dr. Harris. I don’t want to hold it against her but in case you find yourself in a similar situation, just know that Dr. Harris is a great OB/GYN and I thank God for having led me to him during such a turbulent season in my life. I will forever recommend him to any lady looking for an OB/GYN in Dallas!!! My husband and I are forever thankful to know such a kind, caring, and amazing doctor who really goes above and beyond to try to help you, and to all my fellow endometriosis sisters, just know you are not alone!!! I found the best he has amazing bed side manners and truly cares about his patients. I had a wonderful experience with my second delivery thank you Dr. Harris. Unbelievable. I called and made an appointment upon a recommendation from a coworker and the good reviews online. Then I received the paperwork in the mail. Highlighted, first page, "Annual $10 franchise Tax Fee". Yes, you read that correctly. This fee is to help offset the taxes imposed by the state of Texas and is not covered by insurance regardless of being in or out of network. I called and asked if this fee could be waived as I was intending only to go for one appointment for a second opinion and was told the fee could not be waived. I cancelled my appointment on the spot as I do not see how it should be my obligation to help pay the franchise tax or any other cost of business for people making 5 times what I make. I am sure that he is a very good doctor, but I can only imagine the rest of the nickel and diming that might occur. Unbelievable. I moved to Dallas in need of an OB-GYN. Dr. Steven Harris was recommended to me from someone in charge of a unit at Baylor-Dallas. I reviewed a lot of doctors through the web and I knew when I saw Dr. Harris "on paper" he was my doctor. And he is amazing, truly. So if you are like me - you are new to Dallas, don't really know anyone and looking via the web for a good doctor, please take my recommendation and see Dr. Harris. I've needed him for both obstetrics and gynecology. He is patient, never makes you feel rushed, and listens to you. It's amazing how hard that is to find. Right before my first daughter was born, my hip and back went out. He visited me three times in the hospital after delivery and told me that just because I delivered my baby that his office wasn't done with me, they would help me find the doctor I needed to help with my pain, and that he would do a little research when he got back to his office to see who they wanted to refer me to. Now I'm sure his nurse, Terry, was involved, but he did just that and I saw an orthopedic doctor. Dr. Harris is great with patient follow-ups; he called me a couple weeks later just to check on my hip and back. Also, slight change of subject, on the occasions I have wanted something very specific, Dr. Harris has listened to me and my concerns, taking that into account. There are three other male doctors in his practice. I've had pleasant interactions with both Drs. Heckman and Collins. When you are at the end of your pregnancy and visiting the office every week, they want you to meet the other doctors. At one visit, I sat down with Dr. Gaitonde and was blown away by him too. Even though I wasn't his patient, he took an extended time out of his busy schedule to talk basketball and babies with me, particularly about a baby topic that was really stressing me out that week. After spending so much time with a person, you learn a little about him. And I know that even among his super busy schedule, Dr. Harris finds time to volunteer his services to people in need. I've never written a review for a doctor before, and clearly I highly recommend Dr. Steven Harris. I know how hard it can be to find a good OB-GYN, particularly if you are new to area. Please give Obstetrics and Gynecology of Dallas a try. They also have a Frisco location as well that I've been to a couple times, and he delivers at Baylor-Frisco. Dr. Harris is absolutely amazing! He truly cares about his patients. The reason I decided to write this review is due to the fact that he has constantly been working with my insurance company so that I don’t have to pay out of pocket for a certain brand. Conservative, gentle, and caring. I would recommend Dr Harris to anyone seeking an obgyn with a more natural and conservative approach. Low c section rate. Love him! Would highly recommend and am very happy I chose him.

I have been a patient of Dr. Harris for 25 years. He absolutely cares about his patients and is extremely thorough. I am alive today because he was persistent. Had the uterine cancer not been found early, the outcome could have been quite a different story. I am grateful to God that He blessed me with such a great doctor.

After reading one bad review for Dr. Harris, I had to figure that this person was experiencing a case of mistaken identity. You will not find a more skilled, compassionate, and professional doctor. I have been Dr. Harris' patient for nearly 20 years (well before I ever had children) and I will never see another OB-Gyn as long as I live within a day's driving distance from his office. It's no exaggeration to say that his skills and concern saved my life more than once, as Dr. Harris helped me survive a dangerous health condition and two high-risk pregnancies. I was referred to Dr. Harris a couple of years ago by several women. I absolutely love him as a doctor. He is professional and has a calmness about him that is very relaxing. He delivered my first child and the experience was wonderful. I can't say enough about Dr. Harris.

In a word, Dr. Harris is awesome! In this day and age of younger (and some older) doctors who have such arrogant attitudes, poor bedside manners, poor communication skills, and are quick to prescribe drugs without taking the time to really listen to the patient and properly diagnose them, Dr. Harris' caring and friendly demeanor is so refreshing. He has taken his personal time after hours to call me for things like follow up on test results and I just really appreciate his attentiveness.

Dr. Harris is the most caring Dr. I've ever met! He delivered both of my babies years ago, (both, emergency c-sections), with skill, excellent knowledge, and compassion and concern for each patient and baby. He's also been there for me for a couple of other surgeries, non-preg. related, and, as always, he's been wonderful!! He still is my GYN. Love this humble, compassionate, and skillful doctor, and trust him completely!

Dr. Harris is the worst doctor my wife has ever had. He takes as many patients as he can, just to make money. Most of his patients are pregnant women and women who want to become pregnant. You know why? Because if you cannot become pregnant, then you will pay for everything twice as much as you would in any other doctor’s office. If you do not plan to have a child but have some health problem, then he prescribes you hormones that make you fat but would not help at all. He does not carry. He even does not know about any side effects of any pills that her prescribes. Based on our own experience and my communication with other patients, Dr. Harris is a horrible doctor. I will never see another OBGYN if I can help it. Dr. Harris is an amazing, intelligent Dr. He has great bedside manner and always greets you with a smile. I can't imagine anyone ever having an issue with him. Can't stress enough how awesome he is.

4 beautiful babies in 19 years with Dr Harris. Even without insurance for the new baby, Dr Harris is well worth the cost for self-pay. The piece of mind for having a caring competent doctor (and humble!) was worth it. Always has been a great experience!
