Steven Haddad

Dr. Haddad is in a league of his own in the area of ankle replacements and he's responsible for both successful ankle replacements that I've had. I'm sure if there were ever a third ankle needing replacement, I'd get back on his surgical schedule without reservation. Dr. Haddad is technically far superior to most and he is a perfectionist and driven by superb patient care. Patient care is his passion. I've seen the recipients of some of his hard cases and they've shared their stories with me, especially in the field of Rheumatoid Arthritis.

My husband was advised by a local surgeon that he would never work construction again, if he treated his shattered calcaneus. We left his office devastated then I started calling my healthcare providers for recommendations. Dr. Haddad had operated on another Dr.'s wife and he recommended Dr. Haddad @ IBJ. The surgery was successful and 7 mos. later my husband was back to his construction job. Dr. Haddad was very personable and we were extremely happy with him. We did have a problem with a scheduler and we were billed for an appt. that we did not make. We were diligent in disputing the bill. I had bi-lateral ankle joint replacements performed by Dr Haddad 12/2019 and 05/2020. He is an exceptional surgeon and at the same same time he is very humble about his skills and art-form. I had lived with extreme pain, for 25 years, in both my ankles precipitated by use of prednisone. I am totally pain-free after the surgeries. God bless Dr. Haddad.

I had a good experience with Dr Haddad with my surgery! My problem is his Scheduler who believes my surgery was 9-10 years ago felt my appt made 2 mo ago was not as important as someone else and gave my appt time away!!!! When I made the appt they had informed me that he was leaving and that I couldn’t have my other ankle looked at during my original ankle replacement recheck because he wasn’t taking any new patient’s but this lady tells me he wants to see all the patients that are having issues so as to take care of them before he leaves!!!! People work, you make an appt time have to get off work and then they give your appt away!!! Horrible to treat former patients like that, and then to hang up on the patient because your not happy because they gave your appt away!!!! Somebody should teach her about respect!!!! Dr. Haddad is one of the best ankle surgeons in the U.S. I worked for Dr. Haddad and he is one of the most thorough surgeons you will ever encounter. I have so much respect for him and his practice. He may not tell you want to hear, but you can trust him for an accurate diagnosis and the best treatment.

Do your research. Top ankle replacement surgeon in the country! Spends whatever amount of time it takes to assure a successful outcome. I had an ankle replacement 2 years ago. I’m a RN who worked 20 years doing provider quality. Very personable is a plus. Excellent office support staff as well. Great followup care.

I’m a nurse and recommend doing your research before selecting any doctor. Dr. Haddad did a total ankle replacement on me 9 months ago due arthritis post ankle trauma over 20 years ago. I can walk again thanks to his 5 star diagnostic skill, & surgical skill. He clearly explains everything, giving you all options. Very nice person. 5 star staff. Other doctors in USA send their ankle patients to see him. Met a man who moved to SC but still flies back to see Haddad.

Dr. Haddad performed a fix of a failed surgery which I had done a year earlier by another surgeon. After my initial appointment with him, I knew I had come to the right surgeon this time. I found him to be very professional yet personable. I am 3 months post-op, a short time in the total healing process, but already my foot feels better than it has in two years. Be prepared to wait for an initial appointment and to follow his protocol to the letter, but rest assured it's worth the results.

My mom went to Dr. Haddad for a second opinion, then returned to him for help with her foot pain. Her experience was humiliating. He expressed that her foot was a mess and why should he have to fix what another doctor started. Then said, “I don’t mean to be crude, but you should amputate your foot and that would solve your problems.” My mom is 52 with cerebral palsy. His comments were incredibly insensitive to everything she has been through. Dr. Haddad is condescending and lacks empathy.

In 2012 Dr haddad gave me a new ankle and a chance to walk again. I am so grateful for his brilliant mind and caring soul. In 2007 I shattered my ankle, sure wish I had known Dr haddad. For five years i endured great pain.. and couldnt walk. I celebratethe 5 years of walking This month. Blessed to live again . Walking 7,000 steps a day, snorkelling and living life to it's fullest...

It was a very good experience with all the staff and Dr. Haddad, in fact they went above and beyond expectation. Staff was professional, friendly, attentive and really listened with patience and kindness. I most definately will recommend their care.

Dr. Haddad and his team are phenomenal . From my first appointment to my last. It has been 3 years in August that Dr. Haddad has done a total ankle replacement. Prior to surgery I was averaging 6-8 Aleve a day. Not very healthy. Since surgery and after recovery I have not taken one single aspirin. I'm able to work out on the treadmill , elipitical machine and swim. I'm able to walk several miles and no pain. Dr. Haddad stayed totally involved even with physical therapy. I highly recommend him!

My ankle replacement with Dr Haddad is the all around best surgical experience I have had. I have a left knee replacement and a right ankle replacement. Both operations went well but the entire staff at Dr Haddad's is top notch. I have found them to be very timely, professional and friendly. Dr Haddad is a meticulous individual that gives you confidence in his abilities from the first visit and the respect for his talents increased for me as time went on. I've had my ankle replacement for over a year now and it is performing better than the knee replacement. I am very happy I found him for my surgery.
