Dr. Goldberg performed a total shoulder replacement 6 weeks ago using the revolutionary procedure he devised, Catalyst. I've had little pain, and am surprised at how quickly I am recovering. His professionalism, his compassion and his office staff are first rate. Many people have asked me the name of my surgeon. I have been happy to give his name to everyone who asks me. Dr. Goldberg, Amy White he is a nurse practitioner and entire staff are exceptional. Every one of my endless questions were answered, no appointment was ever rushed. Everything was completely explained to me so I knew exactly what to expect. I was even given information compiled from previous patients on how best to get through the day after surgery with minimal discomfort. The staff at the Seaside Surgery Center were excellent. Very compassionate and caring, the procedure was on time and I was discharged with complete instructions. The results of my surgery could not be better! Very pleased, highly recommend!

My shoulder gave me pain for months before my surgery in late June 2022. When I awoke from the procedure the pain was gone. Of course, I had to heal and rebuild, but the structural pain had vanished. It took a few months to regain range of motion and strength is still getting better. But the lack of pain is fantastic. I had reverse shoulder replacement 3 weeks ago. I didn't experience any pain and I have more movement in my arm almost immediately. The home therapy and outpatient pt is excellent. Will be moving north soon and continue pt there.Dr Goldberg and his crew are the best.

I broke my shoulder and my wrist last May. Dr. Goldberg advised me to have my wrist taken care of first since it would require surgery. The shoulder issue was a fracture and did not require intervention. He also pointed out that I have a lot of arthritis in my shoulder and that one day I might benefit from shoulder replacement, but that it's much too soon to be thinking about that. He and his PA have answered all my questions and have never pushed me to have surgery or any procedures. He did recommend an excellent orthopedic surgeon for my distal radius fracture and that worked out well. I've had a couple of follow-up appointments and my shoulder fracture is completely healed. I still have pain from the arthritis, so I'll probably go back for a steroid injection in a few months. I broke my shoulder and my wrist last May. Dr. Steven Goldberg is the BEST shoulder surgeon in Naples. This is my second shoulder replacement with him and this one was a reverse replacement. He invented & manufactured at Arthrex his bone sparing implant. He’s FANTASTIC!!

Though I’d been soldiering through several years of ever-increasing pain and disability, I still had to be dragged, kicking and screaming, to the realization it was finally time for a “new” shoulder. Once the decision was reluctantly made, I was referred to Dr. Steven Goldberg and the journey began. From my first appointment, Dr. Goldberg and his staff, especially Denise, were welcoming, helpful and informative. In hospital and later at home, the care I received from his surgical and postoperative team was outstanding. Except for the initial awkwardness of the required sling, my recovery was remarkably easy with minimal discomfort requiring no pain medications. After an incorrect diagnosis by another doctor, a friend recommended I get a second opinion from Dr Goldberg. I was in constant pain, unable to sleep or perform simple things. Dr Goldberg recommended a shoulder replacement which I had in mid- Jan. Within 1 day, I was pain free! Dr Goldberg is going to do a reverse shoulder replacement on my other shoulder. Dr Goldberg is excellent in all respects. He created and implants the Catalyst CSR , a much less invasive procedure. At 8 weeks, I have 75% recovered range of motion, no ongoing pain. Highly recommend.

It's no small wonder that Dr. Goldberg is such a popular surgeon. After several months of physical therapy failed to correct the pain and limited range of motion in my left shoulder, I sought the advice and counsel of Dr. Goldberg who advised that I was an excellent candidate for his novel Catalyst shoulder replacement procedure. Shoulder replacement with his innovative implants produce no pain & a faster recovery time.

Dr. Goldberg’s new shoulder replacement procedure was very successful for me. I was surprised that the level of pain in this procedure was very low. It has been over two years now and my shoulder feels great. I would highly recommend Dr. Goldberg for this procedure.

I had heard this was a tough surgery. Other than one day of severe pain, post surgery, the recovery was relatively pain free. my should is doing great just under six weeks post op. i would highly recommend Dr. Goldberg ...especially for shoulder surgery.....

I had the unfortunate experience of a bad fall on New Years Day 2019 which shattered my elbow and broke my shoulder on my left arm landing me at the ER. From the moment I reached Dr. Goldberg's office the next morning, I was treated with compassion, confidence and professionalism and given a detailed explanation of what needed to be done. Three days later, both surgeries were performed by Dr. Goldberg at the Seaside Surgery Center where a metal plate was used to repair the elbow and four pins were used to repair the shoulder. I just had my one year follow up appointment and am happy to report that I have been released from further follow-up as I now have full use of my arm and absolutely no restrictions on activities! Dr. Goldberg and his team (both office and at Seaside) are the absolute best! I cannot thank them enough for "saving" me from potentially being disabled the rest of my life. Doctor Goldberg is a skilled surgeon. He is very personable and has a wonderful office staff. I highly recommend him. If you are having second thoughts about having shoulder surgery go on in and meet him and his staff. When I mention to anyone about my two surgeries (left repair and right replacement) they know of Dr Goldberg reputation and are very complementary.

Dr Goldberg is incredible and I am so thankful he did the operation on my shoulders. I had to have a complete shoulder replacement on both shoulders and it was so easy it was crazy. One day in the hospital, one day on pain meds. Easy, peasy. Dr Goldberg is easy to talk to and takes as much time as you need. Before he operated I could't do anything because of the pain. He is a celebrated surgeon and I am lucky to have had him.

Dr Goldberg is as kind as he is competent; as sincere as he is skilled. He repaired my badly damaged R shoulder with a Total reverse rotator cuff replacement. After 4 1/2 months of extensive P.T. I regained about 1/2 of my normal mobility...enough so that I could put my hair in a "pony tail" with my right arm. I am one year post op from rotator cuff surgery and doing better than I ever expected. Dr Goldberg is not only an excellent surgeon but he is very caring and understanding. On October 15,2019, Dr. Goldberg operated on my shoulder to repair Rotator cuff tears,subscapularis tears and clean up some other issues impacting my shoulder. The surgery was a success and I am way ahead of schedule in getting back to golf 3-4 times a week and using my arms in other activities. I was skeptical on having surgery in SW Florida as I was very comfortable with surgery up North where I have had a number of surgical procedures including C4, 5, 6 fusion, L2, 3, 4,5, hip replacement and knee surgery. I spent time researching Surgeons in Southern Florida before selecting Dr. Goldberg based upon his experience, reputation, and focus as well as recommendations. After attending a local leadership presentation and learning about Dr Goldberg and his unique shoulder replacement procedure, I made an appointment. From the very first moment in his office, I knew i made the correct decision. The office staff are incredibly caring and professional. Dr Goldberg takes the time to do an thorough evaluation as well as sit and answer all of my questions. I was always made to feel like I was the only patient in the office. Having gone through shoulder replacement before, i was hesitant to have my other shoulder done. As of today, I am 6 weeks post-op with Dr G. I am an 83 year old woman who's been active all of my life. However, for the past 6 months, I had been in excruciating pain in my right shoulder. I was told by my former Orthopedic Dr. that I was bone on bone. Every time I moved, I'd experience a jolt of pain. Over the next few months I lost the use of my whole right arm and hand and couldn't even write my name without pain. When I moved to Naples, I met several people who mentioned Dr. Goldberg in glowing terms. I had my shoulder replacement surgery on Oct. 7th. When I woke up, I experienced a different kind of pain. This disappeared within a day. The following days I was astonished that I was completely pain free! I sailed through rehab and home therapy. My only problem was to try to slow down! I wanted to resume all my activities right away. I was told that I had to be patient and let the deep muscles repair themselves. I have put off my shoulder replacement for too long. I could not lift things, put my belt on, hard to sleep because of pain....generally I was handicapped. I am skittish when it when it comes to surgery. I was bone on bone i n my shoulder and I heard crunching sounds when I moved my arm. Dr Goldberg performed a miracle for me! As soon as I was in recovery, I HAD NO PAIN, I took a pain pill because I was told to take it,, not because I needed it. The second day was the same, no pain but a pain pill. That was it. Therapy is helping me regain full motion to my shoulder. I can do commercials for Dr Goldberg. I cannot believe how painless and perfect my surgery went. i had a serious fall where i dislocated my shoulder by 10 inches after therapy and MRI it was decided i needed rotator cuff surgery Dr Goldberg did an excellent job and m back to normal

No problems after the surgery. Started rehab immediately and worked at home also. No pain except some stiffness that was easily worked out. After four three weeks of rehab I started easy workouts for my triathlon training. After six weeks I continued my workouts but added a more strenuous pace. The first few days after surgery there was very little pain and none after a few more days. I took first place in the Captiva Trtathlon in the 80 and over age group. None of this would have been possible without Dr. Goldberg doing the rotator cuff surgery. Stuart Wahl

I waited too long before getting my shoulder replacement scheduled. The procedure and recovery were successful and I feel like it is back to normal in just 6-9 months. The actual recovery was very short, pain was gone the day after surgery and I wish I had done this sooner. The doctor and staff at the office and hospital were all excellent. You have many choices when it comes to the evaluation of your orthopedic condition and, after 50 years as a healthcare provider, administrator, and researcher, I had an injured right shoulder and did my research by talking to operating room nurses and other clinicians. Dr. Goldberg was the name that came to my attention time and time again so I elected to have him evaluate my right shoulder and he recommended replacement. Using his cutting edge approach with the Catalyst implant, I was back on the golf course in a little over 3 months and that included a rotator cuff repair in the same joint. Dr. Goldberg did an amazing job on my shoulder repair. The recovery time has been half of what I expected. His entire staff is wonderful!! The staff at the surgical center was wonderful!! No long wait times. Everyone has been so pleasant, professional, and efficient There are no words to express how happy I am to have found Dr Goldberg and his staff!! Thank you all so much!

Everyone in the office and surgery center are very helpful and willing to answer any and all questions--extremely friendly. Recovery was a bit challenging but the results have been excellent.

Felt like he was lacking in knowledge. Was charged 350 for office call Wants 6000 for 1000 dollar shot. Just My thoughts

Dr. Steven Goldberg is definitely the go-to person for reverse shoulder implant I am saying this out of experience and research also I hear he's fantastic for regular shoulder replacement. He has invented a way to remove all the arthritis prior to inserting his shoulder replacement. 100% recovery for all of his reverse shoulder replacements. Hopefully mine will be the same. Dr Goldberg is an amazing surgeon. He did a complete shoulder replacement on my right arthritic shoulder. One night in hospital, then home next day & that was the last night I had pain in that shoulder! It was incredible! After 20 yrs of pain! It was so easy that I have scheduled the replacement of my left arthritic shoulder 12 wks after the first surgery.
