I've been a patient of Dr Gittler's for over 3 years now, and I'm so grateful to have a pulmonologist of his skill to rely on. My asthma is much better controlled now. He's great at explaining things, and asking questions about my life and how asthma affects it--things that wouldn't have occurred to me! Also, his staff is great. The tech people administering tests are patient and kind, and the office staff is friendly & helpful. Big shoutout to John for helping me navigate the hurdles of a complicated Medicare Advantage HMO plan, referrals, etc. All in all, I'm extremely satisfied with the care at Dr Gittler's office. Couldn't ask for more.

There are some folks that contracted Covid not requiring hospitalization, however are suffering from debilitating symptoms on a daily basis. As a long haul Covid patient with multiple health issues, I was disappointed with the lack of empathy and open mindedness I received during my last visit. I think if doctors don’t understand what a patient is experiencing, he/she should at least be open minded to what their patient has to say, and exhibit a certain level of compassion. I can only hope one day as this disease is better understood, physicians will be willing to listen and not disregard what their patient is experiencing. Honest, concerned, knowledgeable, very nice Dr. Hope you never need him but if you do I think he's a very good choice

Very unprofessional and uncaring. Been calling for over a month, and speaking with his nurse, to get a prescription for a very bad cough without any result.

Dr. Gittler is wonderful and his staff is excellent.

Dr. Gittler was an amazing doctor. He really took the time to listen and explained everything to me. Not only that but he took the time to actually show me the images of my lungs and what was happening. Very thorough.

Everyone was awesome from the moment we walked in the door. Seeing the girls' similing faces brightened up my whole day. The visit went very smooth and everything was explained very well.

Dr. Gittler is Kind, caring compassionate and reassuring. I was recently discharged from the hospital, presenting with bilateral Covid19 Pneumonia. I had my first visit at his office today, and I could not be more optimistic. Dr Gittler took his time and explained everything in the most upbeat way.. I am grateful to have him as my pulmonologist.

Had an appointment today and had to drive 30 instead of 18 minutes due to traffic and construction, every light was red and traffic was heavy. Two minutes late and he refused to see me so I don't think much of that. One star is too many for this office...

Took the time to listen amd ask questions which lead to making an informed diagnosis. Dr Gittler is a great Dr visit for anything pulmonology related. Explains all necessary information in detail. Definitely recommend.

Dr Gittler was extremely caring and patient. And brilliant.

We were not able to establish a rapport and the exam room that I was in was better suited to a ten year old. There are shelves full of toys, stuffed animals and figurines. On the very top of *those* shelves were more of the same. The area in front of his computer and the windowsill were packed with toys, stuffed animals and figurines. There was a lot of unexpected clutter which I didn't like and frankly all of that *stuff* does not belong in an exam room. Who cleans all of it & why would any physician display it when you see pulmonary patients? Think of all of the dust! I'd understand displaying a few things, but this was over the top. I saw him weeks ago and someone was supposed to get back to me regarding an insurance approval for a sleep study and no one ever called me back. He mentioned that he would not do a peer to peer review if the request for a sleep study were denied by the insurance company. I have no choice but to give him a "poor" rating.

The doctor staff literally never contacted me after multiple tries, staff didn't care at all to return calls, actually I had to beg for a follow up. Finally met the doctor to be told, they needed time to process everything. 3 months is more than enough time. Go somewhere else.

I'm sorry for the review concerning being two minutes late, I have found his office staff to be very attentive and pleasant. Dr. Gittler is wonderful: kind, intelligent, and an excellent doctor. On the other hand, his office staff is reprehensible. They never answer phone calls or reply to messages. Even scheduling an appointment is hard work.

Poor care foul help, worst around.

My aunt was supposed to have a bronchoscopy on 6/7. The procedure had to be rescheduled and the hospital referred her to Dr. Gittler. Upon discharge the hospital told my aunt that the procedure was rescheduled for 6/12 and to contact the doctor for time and any special instructions. We called the answering service on 6/10 and no call back. We called the office on 6/11 in the morning and no call back. We called the answering service on 6/11 in the evening and finally got a call back that consisted of a 3 second message with no identity of who was calling. This doctor was very unprofessional and uncaring. We had to take my aunt to a different hospital and use a different doctor to get the bronchoscopy done. I recommend not using Dr. Gittler. Dr. Gittler is an experienced and knowledgeable pulmonologist. He is an excellent physician and provides exemplary care to his patients in the office or the hospital. Go see Dr. Gittler if you have any pulmonary issues.

Outstanding clinician; very caring

I was referred to pulmonary Rehabilitation by doctor Gittler in his office. "I got a new life". I am able to do things again without having shortness of breath! The therapist is wonderful. She taught me so much about my lung disease and how to increase my quality of life.

Dr Gittler is kind and takes his time with me. My visit was pleasant and so was the office.

Sunrise office itself is terrible. If my first visit with Dr. Gittler was OK, I can't say the same for my second visit. After a one hour wait in waiting room, I wasted 45 ms. in the exam room. Dr. Gittler walked in, ordered a chest xray and left. He came back 45 minutes later, told me there was no change, ordered a chest CT scan, and left. I had written down 3 questions for Dr. Gittler but didn't get a chance to ask, he was gone. Was left w/untreated pneumonia.

Worse staff I've ever experienced at any Doctors office. So unprofessional and rude, you're left on hold for 10-15 minutes at a time. Don't hold your breath here for good service and timely help!!!! Doctor may be good but cant say the same for the staff and unfortunately your staff can make or break you long term!!! STAY AWAY!!

I have been a patient 4 - 5 yrs, and I find Dr Gittler to be very thorough and a good listener. He has helped me manage my COPD and Sleep Apnea. Appts are nearly always on time, yet he spends the necessary time with me. In the event that I have any problem, he and his staff attempt to resolve it while I wait. I would definitely recommend him.

not likely, I saw the doctor a few weeks ago, he recommended a chest EKG, I believe. His staff was to set the location and time. I'm still waiting.

I find Dr. Gittler to be attentive and knowledgeable.

DR. is very through regarding inquiring about signs and symptoms, dates and times events etc.. Office staff leaves a lot to be desired. Not friendly, actually can be very rude. Nurse is like a machine, not sure she even understands. No sense of humor. Waiting room is plain with lots of stuffed animals in some of the office exam rooms. Office staff is very important for a doctor's success or failure, so my suggestion would be to train the staff or replace the staff.

In all areas except one I would recommend Dr. Gittler highly. Unfortunately It is very difficult to reach the staff by phone or to get any feedback by phone about test results or questions.

He explains everything in terms one can understand. He's not an alarmist, but thoughtful and careful. He wants to be sure the patient is not over-doctored, over-tested or over-prescribed.

Spent an hour in the waiting room, then another 20 minutes in the exam room before I had to leave. Never saw the doctor. Offices were empty except for several people eating in the break room, who never noticed me wandering around looking for help. Only saw a nurse who argued with me about the meds I was taking -- she said my dosages couldn't be right because they didn't match the preset dosages in her computer. Having taken these meds for years, I think I know what dosages I am taking.

Office staff is rude and are of no help. Doctor prescribed oxygen and no notes where added to chart for oxygen company to be able to bill insurance. Lied to oxygen company saying I was told to go back for a face-to-face and they never said that. After a month and a half I had to go back for another appointment to do test all over again and three months later, more problems and now I am having to pay for oxygen because oxygen company was not able to bill the insurance. Do not recommend!

a learned physician who inspires confidence, i have all the respect in the world for dr. gittler. he is highly recommended

Dr. Gittler is the best, he takes the time to explain things and does a really good job of it. You don't feel rushed in and out like some places. Highly recommend him.
