Dr. Gitelis has an impressive track record of years of service to patients. However, as of October 2020, the Gitelis family has been involved in major unethical and criminal behavior. The Gitelis family has hundreds of thousands of dollars of debt that is now believed to be approaching the million dollar mark. This debt is owed to members of the Chicago community and beyond. I would be extremely skeptical to see Mr. Gitelis, let alone trust him with my families health.

Dr. Gitelis is a consummate professional in his field. Dating back to 2005 and his recommendation for a then somewhat not thoroughly proven ceramic on ceramic hip joint has proven to be a superb choice for my active lifestyle. I highly recommend this practice for any body joints questions, concerns.

Dr Gitelis answers questions directly, clearly and understandably. He explains his recommendations for treatment plans and listens to my questions/concerns. I believe he is highly skilled, based on my recovery and successful treatment. He is supportive of his colleagues and staff, a reassuring quality for me as a patient. He is patient with my questions, and sometimes relates his answers to his own health and age, instilling confidence that he understands my perspective on my own health and age. He is accessible. He seems energetic and is consistently cheerful, which I find reassuring. His demeanor, communication and general manner make me comfortable, and leave me feeling like a member of my health care team, and not a passive consumer.

Dr. Gitelis is the expert in joint replacement.We are so pleased that he was able to do knee replacement for my father. Now we are lucky to have him do hip replacement for my Mom. We have total confidence in him and his skills.

Dr. Gitelis was knowledgeable, professional and reassuring. His years of experience and reputation led me to choose him for a new ortho issue I had. I’m a Rush nurse and have recommended him to family and friends.

Dr. Gitelis saw me on Monday. He went through my options and explained them well. I was able to schedule a procedure with him for the next morning. The procedure went well. He is highly skilled. I would recommend Dr. Gitelis without reservation.

I found him to be very approachable and knowledgeable. He outlined step by step what I can expect. He has a great personality and I feel very confident in choosing him for my hip replacement surgery.

Dr. Gitelis performed surgery on a Giant Cell Tumor I had several months ago. I was in pain for over a year suffering until I found out what was wrong and was referred to Dr. Gitelis. I am grateful for what he's done for me and I am on the road to a full recovery. He and his staff are excellent. I would highly recommend if you need an orthopaedic oncologist.

I had pain from a bone tumor in my toe that kept me from running. Other foot specialists contemplated removing the toe, but Dr. Gitelis confidently evaluated the toe and determined that a tumor extraction with a hip bone graft would be best. He answered all of my questions @ each visit! After 3 months, I was able to walk and return to training. Then, after 6 months, I was able to race the Chicago Marathon. Thank you to Dr. Gitelis & his great staff...nothing but gratitude for your great work
