My husband was referred to this doctor for follow up treatment of a previously diagnosed DVT. We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful, beginning with the call to book the appointment and reception when we arrived. The technician who performed the doppler was efficient and informative. While we did not have a particularly extensive visit with Dr. Friedman ( we were given good news that did not require too many details) we found him to be kind and efficient and answered any questions we had.

Following a car accident which resulted in a lot of pain and a lot of Doctors, I was sent to see Dr. Friedman for a potential bilateral vascular issue in my arms and legs. Scary. Needless to say, I was nervous about the testing. Everyone at Dr. Friedman's office was fantastic and put me at ease! Starting with Susan answering the phone when I called to schedule the appointment - a really warm, lovely person, and not an automated message and I didn't have to press 1 or anything. All of the Staff were not merely professional and friendly, but very thorough in explaining each step of the process. Perhaps most importantly, they were patient, reassuring and compassionate to me and the other patients. When I met Dr. Friedman, I understood why everyone was so wonderful - because he leads by example. Having seen a lot of Doctors recently, I can say that Doctor Friedman and his support Staff are exemplary and truly represent what healthcare should be. Dr. Friedman & his staff are amazing. They have gone above & beyond to help my husband who has multiple vascular issues.

terrible, awful, incompetent, should have his license taken away I give me a zero rating he knows he did wrong and kept calling me afterwards saying nothing like that happened before. he left me numb on foot and leg for life

My husband has had a horrible experience with this doctor. Starting with his initial appointment: he failed to look at the ultrasound until after he dismissed my husband from his office. He ended up calling my husband back ten minutes later because apparently his nurse convinced him my husband needed surgery. Day of surgery, he asked my husband which leg he was supposed to be operating on. He gave my husband inaccurate post-surgical care info, which we didn’t find out until the follow up appointment. By that time, my husband’s leg was infected. He has failed to call him back numerous times throughout this whole process. My husband ended up in the ER with a massive infection due to the poor communication and post-surgical care. Still waiting for a call back despite leaving message that he is in ER. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE DOCTOR.

Great team running the office. I felt so comfortable with all the staff. They took care of all my needs.

I've recently noticed my legs swelling more than usual and finally decided to get some answers. I chose Dr. Steven Friedman as I am actually an employee of the practice so it was very convenient. I see these people pretty much every day and know them personally. With that being said, I have to say the experience was still fantastic. Susan at the front desk scheduled my appointment and called to confirm the day before. Lucille did the initial doppler scan. She was really nice and explained everything that she was doing and made sure to let me know that nothing emergent was going on with my legs. I then met with Dr. Friedman. He's a kind and soft spoken man, but straight to the point. He recommended compression stockings, a sequential circulator that would help push the fluids out of my legs and also recommended a laser procedure to close a vein that was not functioning well. Franca quickly took care of getting authorization and scheduling the laser procedure as well as confirming the appointment the night before. The procedure itself only took about half an hour and was virtually painless. Linda expertly handled the doppler scan as Dr. Friedman accessed the proper vein for the laser treatment. Lucille was there to assist as well as Sue. Once we were done, Sue cleaned me up and got me into the compression stocking. (No easy feat I can assure you!!) From beginning to end, the process was handled with ease by the staff of Lake Success Vascular. I was so impressed that I ordered them lunch as a thank you!! I'm happy to report that the procedure was a success and the swelling has decreased quite a bit!! An experience like this is always a no brainer for a wonderful review. I had surgery on one leg last month and everything went perfectly. I want to pay my highest compliments to Dr. Friedman and his entire staff. Everyone explained every step of the process clearly. The surgery went extremely smoothly and follow up care was excellent. I highly recommend this practice.

Has the bedside manner of an SS officer. He cut me halfway through explaining what was wrong and basically told me there was nothing he could do and when I said I wanted a second opinion, he talked me out of it. Conveyor belt medicine. Avoid

I would highly recommend Dr. Steven Friedman, the staff extremely helpful I had the pleasure of talking to Susan, who listened to my issues and went above and beyond to help me. Also everyone in office was pleasant and helpful, I would highly recommend them.

Poor bed side manner. Did not take the time to explain anything. Nice receptionists but did not make sure that the proper staff was present during the scheduled appointment so had to come back. A waste of time overall.
