My mother had an afib ablation procedure performed by Dr. Fowler at Chomp which was a horrific experience. Pre procedure included little to no interaction and an arrogant approach. During the provided Dr. Fowler made a catastrophic error in which her esophagus was perforated multiple times at his hands which led to a massive infection in her pericardium as well as a host of complications/additional mistakes that nearby killed her. I would not advise using this physician and candidly have reservations about the hospital given the multiple documented mistakes following Dr. Fowlerâs initial screw up. While there are some amazing Drs and staff at Chomp, our familyâs experience with the catastrophic errors and limited response from Chomp raises major red flags. There still hasnât been any resolution other than lip service.
Dr. Fowler is a treasure! We are very fortunate to have his specialized skill here, and the sophisticated new equipment at CHOMP! Plus, he’s just a really nice fellow!
