Dr. Steven Alan Fein

I had to wait 19 days to schedule an EGD. Two days before the procedure was scheduled I was called and told due to a scheduling conflict we have to reschedule for Friday. I had to request a PTO and arrange to have someone drive me home for this procedure. It was extremely unprofessional to think I could just take another day off the same week with such a short notice. I wouldn’t recommend this Dr. to anyone. I hope he enjoys his t time or whatever personal reason he decided he wasn’t going to honor a procedure scheduled 19 days in advance. I don’t have time for any Dr who doesn’t value my time.

I just called to find out when my last colonoscopy was. I was told that they had computer problems and lost records and they have no record of me. Who doesn't back up computer files?

Made an appointment for a B12 shot, waited almost an hour. No one was able to tell me how much longer so I left. Waste of time.

If you want to sit for hours waiting this is the office for you. He over books. We were walking out because we had waited over an hour and a half when they said this was an off day and assured us this was not the normal. They are liars. We never even met the doctor. One would think if a doctor were going to accept a new patient he would at least come in and introduce himself. The P.A. is the only one we saw. Now time for endoscopy day again over booked. We arrived on time and waited 4 hours for the 30 minute procedure. If we would have not paid already we would have walked out. Wasted an entire day. Dr Fein and the office staff are great, but it took an hour and a half just to be seen. Too slow.

I have had four colonoscopies over the years, the first two of which were by Dr. Fein. He is the only doctor to have called me at home several hours later to ask how I was doing. On the other hand, I agree with those complaining about the excessively long waiting time. That's why I had my last two with other doctors.

My husband had to see the Dr he was really scared but from the office ladies made him feel relax he saw the pc she made him laugh comfortable & by the time it was all done he wasn't ready to go. The staff is great !!!!!!

Love love love this place! The PA is amazing and so darn funny! She’s so kind and really knows how to take good care of you. Highly recommend coming here.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Fein and Julie Erps for years. Both are very caring and very responsive. If you have an immediate issue, they handle it that day and you might not have to go into the office. They don’t use medicine as a cure all. They really work with you to figure out the underlying problems. I highly recommend this practice.

I’ve had the best experience here with this office and staff! Front desk was nice and efficient, the nurse that called me back(Dori) was very nice and worked me up fast! I have been going to Dr. Fein for many years. Julie is very professional and does a very thorough exam prior to all my colonoscopies. She will answer all your questions to prepare you for the procedure. I have had 4 plus colonoscopies preformed by Dr. Fein. He is very professional and well respected in his field. I have never had any complications and he always calls me personally later in the evening after the procedure to ensure I am doing ok and to answer any additional questions. Very caring doctor!!! Saw the PA on February 6, 2020. No wait in waiting room and no wait in exam room. Very thorough, listened carefully to my concerns, and carefully explored medications covered by my insurance. Able to schedule appointment on one of the two days I had available in my schedule. Very pleased and would recommend to others.

I have been seeing Dr. Fein for 15 yrs. he is one of the best Gastroenterology Specialist there is, he truly cares about you and answers any questions you might have and explains every he is doing...when I was in hospital he came by everyday to check in on me even it was 8 or 9 pm...his office is great friendly and caring, always calls you back, His PAC is Julie Erps , she takes time to explains things , doesn't just run in and out room, very sweet and caring she is a angel, their office is always clean, if your trying to find a great Gastroenterology Specialist, your at the right place can't go wrong with Dr. Fein and his staff..he will always be mine.

Saw the PA and she was AMAZING! Very knowledgeable and actually listened to the problem before diagnosing the issue. They made time to fit us into their schedule at the end of the day, even though they were full and stayed after hours to see us! I will be forever grateful for your kindness, compassion and professionalism, as we are finally finding relief. Thank you!

They are great until it's time to give you a refund then no one wants to talk to you. It’s been almost a year and I have yet to see a refund.

I've seen Dr Fein once and had several outpatient surgery with Dr Fein without problems. I plan to go to him again.

Excellent doctor. He do colonoscopy and endoscopy at other place, after test give you result and treatment. This place is run by nurse practitioner Julie L.

I will say that every person at that office regardless of what negative reviews may or may not be on here that every single staff Dr. And the Pa. They I met there this year that the patients do not know the things they do for their patients and just dont understand the time they spend away from home and possibly even dealing with their own life issues as we are are humans that they work very hard to do their best to make sure you are getting the care you need the best they can.

My appointment was 10:00 October 30 2017 - Went the week before; they made copies of my insurance card & I picked up paperwork & filled out & presented Oct 30. After waiting two hours, they took me back to another room where I sat for 15 minutes. The nurse took my blood pressure which was high. I told her it's because I was waiting unnecessarily for 2 hours. She said girl at front desk didn't put me in the system till 11:20 a.m. Why? I came prepared; they dropped the ball. .

His assistant told me that I would "likely die from colon cancer" because I was having mild ulcerative colitis. He told me that I likely had Chrone's disease, which was completely false. My colonoscopy was scheduled for 9:00 am......Dr. Fein didn't show up until 2:30pm. He tried to keep me sedated while in the pre-op area so that I would not realize what time it was, but I denied the drugs. I was the only one that denied them, and everyone else just laid for there many hours....waiting on him to show. He decided last minute to take a cpr class that was being offered in the building, which prolonged my colonoscopy another 1 1/2 hours. His nurse was so embarrassed that she kept apologizing for his behavior. He also botched my co-workers colonoscopy to the point that my coworker ended up in the hospital - needing 2 surgeries to repair the holes that Dr. Fein put into his colon during a routine colonoscopy. Dr Fein is a good doctor, as for his staff I do have some reservations My concern is the schedule. Today I took the afternoon off to attend my 2 pm appointment. I arrived right at 2. After 15 minutes they called me to the back. After an hour sitting in the back room and no doctor I decided to leave. I understand sometimes they are running behind but knowing that they are running late you'd think they could have taken 30 seconds to give me a call to show up an hour later. 1:15 minutes no doctor. This isn't the first time. Last year I waited 1:05 minutes. If you have time to waste he is a good doctor. Otherwise you may want to show up an hour late and still be ahead of schedule. I have been with Dr. Fine for many years and feel very comfortable. Julie is who usually sees me. They really explain all procedures that have been done. I live in Southwest and rather travel the miles to see them. The wait is sometimes long but worth it. I have never had any issues with any of the staff. Best place to go. Dr Fein s an excellent doctor he has an excellent staff. Dr Fein has been my mom's doctor since 1995. Waiting room etiquette for some people who aren't used to it -- SIT AND REST IF YOU WANT THE BEST.

I was told I had to see the PA first; waited over an hour from my scheduled appointment time and still was not seen, staff refused to say how much longer it would be, I left...will never go back The staff is rude and unprofessional

I have been seeing Dr. Fein since 1981, I will not loose him as my GI doctor. He was the only doctor I could find that knew about my digestive disease. With his help, I have been able to eat, hold down a job and have a family.

My experience with this place is horrible. I visited Dr. Julie Erps (one of the doctors in Dr. Fein's office) twice. First time I arrived the office 30mins earlier to fill out forms. And they made me wait 3-4 HOURS in a small cold office before I could talk to Dr. Erps. I was pretty angry but thought that was probably b/c of too many patients at the end of year. the 2nd time I still waited for more than 2 HOURS. I have never had such terrible experience with a doctor's office. Their staff is terrible too. No one picked the phone if you were not to make appointment and they will never call you back if you leave message. I will not go back to this office again. My experience with this place is horrible.
