I found Dr. Dutcher to be very personable and very knowledgeable. He spoke gently and explained everything in laymans terms. Office staff was also very personable and accomodating.

Terrible!!! I called 5 times and never received a response. I was in terrible pain and no one cared. I finally went int o the office and the receptionist said she would call back for an appointment. No such luck. This is DISGRACEFUL!! DR DUTCHER said to come back after four weeksfor a follow up after my Physical Therapy. Since then no one has responded. I will find a new doctor.

I was referred to see Dr. Dutcher for my back pain. I called to make an appointment and was instructed by the receptionist to get scans done before making appointment. When I told her I wouldn’t know what scans to order she explained I need to see my PCP. Still, not understanding why I need to see ANOTHER doctor to see a specialist (I don’t have an HMO) I tried to explain how I did the process with my prior doctor (who is no longer in network). Without letting me finish, she pretty much told me “this is the process”. Because society doesn’t allow people much personal time from work, I don’t have the time for ‘unnecessary’ steps, I was trying figure out why the specialist couldn’t see me and order reports based on HIS opinion. Since she felt I was challenging her, she let me know that I was getting an attitude. The doctor may be great but the staff should be a bit more helpful and understanding when dealing with patients who are dealing with excruciating pain. I won’t be going to any of their locations. I met Dr Dutcher over 10 yrs ago. I remember my first visit. After seeing so many drs and walking out in tears, Dr Dutcher literally calmed my heart when he said “I believe you” and he understood my symptoms. Dr. Dutcher is hands down the best orthopedic surgeon! He is very knowledgeable, patient and a true gentleman. He takes the time to listen and also explain in a very detailed way so our family knew what to expect overtime with her recovery. After one year post surgery my 82 year old mother walks upright again and free of back pains. What’s even better is that she takes no more painkillers. Dr. Dutcher may be a good Dr. for some, but if he makes a mistake he will not own up to it and never speak to you again. He operated on me in a private day stay due to COVID. Simple pinned nerve,I ended up paralyzed and he refused to speak to me again. My partner took me to the hospital, where tests were done, My bladder was paralyzed,legs,arms,everything. He came to see me but refused to speak to me. I asked to go to a all therapy place,he sent me to a COVID nursing home. As soon as I could move on my own,I called Medicare, I left immediately at their advice. Refused to give my medical records, refused to speak to me. I am home and have to get my own therapy. Can’t sue him, lawyers say all he has to do is deny, which he will,burden is on me, and I am too sick to d Anything. I have Neurofibromitosis,am rather old for this,just waiting to die , Dr Dutcher pushed me over the edge. Dr. Dutcher is hands down the best neuro surgeon! He is very knowledgeable, patient and a true gentleman. He takes the time to listen and also explain in a very detailed way so that our family knew what to expect overtime with my mom’s recovery. My 82 year old mother walks upright again and no painkillers needed. I am so very thankful for his outstanding service and expertise. He has a very supportive and helpful staff.

Doctor Dutcher is the best back surgeon in this state. He takes his time and explains all your options . No one else will do surgery on my back, if I should need one.

Dr. Dutcher is an excellent doctor that takes time carefully reviewing my MRIs, Xrays, and other reports. He also listens and provides the best recommendations on how I can get better. Thank you, Dr. Dutcher!

I visited with Dr Dutcher on two occasions, for the same issue, which is serious back pain. While this doctor would like to perform surgeries (that's what surgeons do, they cut), he also understands, and explains other options. He has a conservative approach, and is not just going straight for you wallet. This man has class, and I would recommend him above every other neurosurgeon I have seen.

His office staff was so rude on the phone that I declined to make an appointment. Even the voice mail message for new patients was rude. My regular doctor didn't want to send me for an MRI until I was examined by a specialist, but Dr. Dutcher's office wouldn't book an appointment for me until after I had an MRI. My insurance didn't pay for the MRI.

Great Doctor. Highly recommend! I'm back to100% perfect, as well as other people have shared with me great experiences with Dr Dutcher.

Dr. Dutcher is a great example of surgeon that is not looking to just jump into surgery regardless of your needs. I have been going to him for a little over a year to monitor serious pain issues in my back and leg. he has been incredible in helping me get through it all without needing surgery at this point. Maybe one day I will need it, thankfully I am confident that if and when that time comes, Dr. Dutcher will most certainly be the one that does it. I had an appointment scheduled for today to have a neurological exam and doctor's consult that I actually scheduled at the office during my last visit. When I arrived there was no record of my appointment, further pushing back a surgery date - and wasted almost 2 hours of my day. I personally like the Dr. Dutcher's bedside manner, explaining the diagnosis, the surgery, the risk & reward. I could not in good conscience go back to the practice after this experience. Dr. Dutcher is an incredible neurosurgeon. I just had my second lumbar surgery on December 14, 2018 after sliding down a full flight of stairs on my backside. I was up walking the very next day and 10 days later have been walking a mile a day. He takes time with his patients to answer any and all questions. His whole demeanor is of a doctor who cares about the well being of his patients. His staff is equally five star. Dr. Dutcher. I came to your office after emergency room visit. My spinal fluid sac was leaking very bad and you have one person in particular who took it upon herself to not get me in to see you. My life depended on this and if meningitis would have sit in I could be dead plus others sense it would have been bacterial meningitis and the CDC would have to have been called. May God have mercy on you - how many other patients have been turned away and maybe even died because of this person?

Front office does not care. They refer you to ER rather than having doc see you. I was diagnosed with a large pocket of infected lumbar fluid via MRI (script from ER doc), staff was given info and failed to give me an appt because they said I had an appt scheduled in October (several weeks out). Five days later, not even a call back. Called a different surgeon on Friday and immediately got an appt. and now moving forward to schedule lumbar fluid drain. An untreated infection is dangerous.

Dr. Dutcher is an amazing surgeon! He saved my grandmothers life! She had two fractures in her spine and wouldn't have lived much longer. She could barely get around. She was 98 at the time and ready to give up the pain was so severe! She was in tears every day! Dr. Dutcher was confident Kyphoplasty would be a good solution to her pain. She had immediate relief when she woke from her surgery and 10 weeks post surgery was completely pain free!! Her surgery was over a year ago. She will be 100 years old in May and she is in great health and thanks to Dr. Dutcher now she is still pain free!! My family and I cannot thank you enough!! Dr. Dutcher is an amazing surgeon! He is the best at what he does. My husband, after 12 surgeries (not all done by him) he put my husband back together again., making all screws and rods align from previous surgeries.. He pulled it all out and did just two rods and 10 or 12 screws. My man is now standing straight and feeling good! Thank you dr. Dutcher!

Dr. Dutcher is an amazing doctor and I'm so glad my mother was able to find him. After seeing several doctors over the past 3 years prior to seeing Dr. Dutcher there was no hopeful diagnosis, but his care and concern led to a diagnosis and positive treatment that has given my mother her life back.

Dr. Dutcher is an outstanding neurosurgeon. I had no discs left in my spine and had horrendous pain from sciatica. I could not stand, walk, sit or sleep without pain. The day after my surgery, I was discharged and walking with no pain at all.

Dr Dutcher is my families true life super hero. We will forever be thankful for his life saving hands on our father after suffering a major stroke due to an AVM. I would entrust anyone of my loved ones in his hands.

Dr Dutcher gave me back my life. I had a crushed disc and was pressing on the nerve for over a year could not walk and was in pain everyday. Dr dutcher new exactly and what my problem was. I Had the surgery he put a titanium metal piece in my back to separate my Disc and release the pressure the pain was gone. I am running, active and a new person because of him.
