Dr. Steven Walter Coutras

Dr. Coutras did a tonsillectomy/ adenoidectomy on my 10 yr old son. The surgery went well. My son is on the spectrum and has sensory issues. When he came out from under anesthesia, he was a beast. I’m sure he was the worst pt of the day (maybe even the week). He ended up getting admitted (which is another story). Why I’m writing this review is because in the hospital, my sons pain was not under control. They went ahead and discharged him any way and I was to pick up pain meds on my way out of the hospital. When I stopped by the pharmacy, Dr. Coutras had cancelled all of his meds. Sent him home with NOTHING for pain! When I called his office, nobody cared. They’d say “Pain is to be expected.” It was torture for my son. I feel he did that since he was such a difficult pt… Trying to get even maybe. Very sad really. I wouldn’t have believed something like this would happen if it wouldn’t have happened to us. It was literally the worst experience ever.

I was pleased to able to see Dr Coutras. He took the time to explain in detail the medical terms, along with meeting my needs. I have a follow up appt. My appt was for 10:45, I never left the building until 11:50. Not sure who's fault this is, it seems like he is over booked.

Excellent bed side manner, made me very comfortable prior to surgery.

Great surgeon! Very skilled and knowledgeable.
