Dr. Stephen Talley

Dr Talley is very nice. But front office nurses are confusing

The office staff was nice but the doctor left something to be desired. He was nice but he didn't ask much and was quick to diagnose what my ear issue might be so I'll be getting a second opinion.

Most unempathetic doctor i have ever met. Went to consult before my 7 year old got his tonsils and adenoids removed to see if the sleep doctors recommendation of trying cpap first would be viable. I asked for a medical explanation why surgery is the only option and was told simply he knows more than me and since 1987 he never recommended a cpap before surgery and wont. I asked why....no answer. I was expressing my concern for the side affects of anesthesia and how i was concerned for my sons life and he interupted me to speak into his recording device. Lets just say that was all i needed to see and hear from him. I wouldnt trust this doctor to operate on a rodent let alone a child...MY CHILD...He cut me off every time i asked for a medical explanation why he could not skip the surgery, which he said is only 30 percent effective, and try cpap. He said surgery is the only option because he said so and if i dont believe him he was gonna refer me to someone he knows to say the same thing. I told him i would also qsk him the same questions. Once he started talking into his machine i told my kids and wife to lets go and i cussed his greedy non caring self out...this doctor doesnt care about you nor your kids...his ego is so big he needs to be knocked off his high horse. His " im better than you attitude " makes every thing he says seem smugand non empatheric....he is trash Most unempathetic doctor i have ever met. Dr. Talley always listens to my concerns, tackles the problem using experience, knowledge and tests needed to resolve the issue. Reasonable wait time and his staff are friendly & patient.

I completely disagree with the previous rating. I've been seeing Dr. Talley for about 5 years. He's funny and kind. He has a great sense of humor and listens well. My mother has had mouth cancer twice. So recently my tongue hurt and I felt I was being overly paranoid and silly. He took it VERY serious. That means the world to me. He's also seen my husband and daughter. In fact he CONVINCED my husband to go to the VA to get the good hear aids. We'd not have known he'd get the very best aids for FREE had Dr. Talley not told him. That saved us 6000!!! He had no reason to send him there other than kindness. I also love his staff. Absolute quack. Run as fast as you can away from this goof ball.

Talley is the most unempathetic doctor I have ever met. I am saying this nicely as well. I left his office abrubtly aftr discussing possible surgery to remove my 7 year old sons son's tonsils and adenoids because of sleep apnea. All i wanted was an explanation why the surgery was needed instead of trying the cpap like the sleep doctor originally suggested. He was extremely disrespectful and simply said i should get a second opinion. Some how his thoughts about what is best for my son is greater than mine. Granted i tried to listen to a medical explanation as to why surgery was mandate rather than a non evasive procedure and he cut me off to speak into his stupid recorder. I was expeessing my concerns about the complications of surgery or how my son could die under anesthesia. He just started talking into his machine as i was talking. I cussed him out and told him how passive aggresive he was because i dare question him. I told him i was talking as a father about the concern for my SON

Over an hour wait. Doctor Talley came in and ordered a hearing test for pitches and repeating words like the ones we have taken in grade school. Then, he left; I waited, then he came back, and ordered a test for ear pressure. After he came back, he made some marks on page and told me to make an appointment for another hearing test in two weeks. He did not answer questions in regard to pain experienced in some acoustic situations. I was charged over $600. I do not plan to return.

Wait and wait for a 5mn visit, half of it spent talking to a computer or to an assistant. Never even put a stethoscope to me. After lots of tests all negative including Xrays totaling over a year worth of background radiation condition is worse. Last appointment whereas I was clearly sick having lost 5lb in 2 weeks, whizzing and coughing he did not even look or listen to me. Office is a mess and this doctor has the most atrocious manners I have ever seen.

I have been a patient of dr talley roughly since 2009-10 to present and my ear issue was never resolved. I lost hearing while under his care 5yr gap in between hearing test. Prescribed and prescribed meds but never gave me a hearing test till recent. He diagnosed me with chronic external something, when it came time to fill out paper work that asked if chronic or non chronic he checked off non chronic.
