After losing 107 pounds, Dr Steinmetz performed the most amazing contouring of my body. He performed an arm lift at the same time as a breast lift in July of 2022. Six weeks ago, he performed a lower body lift. All 3 procedures went above and beyond my imagination! I am simply stunned and amazed at how he changed my body. For the first time in my life, I don’t hate myself when I look in the mirror. I now constantly look at my body in awe. This man is truly an artist who seeks perfection in his skill. He’s the BEST and I’ll recommend every day, all day. His bedside manner is fantastic and he truly cares about his patients. He’s very involved from the beginning to the end and post op. He’s a miracle worker!

Almost 10 years ago Dr Steinmetz subjected me to his version of reconstructive surgery. He botched the job, I think deliberately. I had been attacked by a dog. I went to him for bilateral brachioplasty. He claimed to collect, from me, money for the hospital bill, which he stated was a special arrangement he had with them. He lied. The hospital billed Medicare, who paid. He did not do what he was hired to do. He botched the job so bad other plastic surgeons, and other doctors have been aghast, literally. He charged me $1800 extra for liposuction of my back, which he failed to perform at all. He took my money and refused to return it. I filed a complaint with the Alabama Board of Medicine. He told them I had manipulated the insurance adjuster. (How? The adjuster had over 25 years of experience. I never asked for anything.) Whatever you do, find someone else to perform your surgery. He evidently thinks he has the right to do whatever he wants, and gets by with it. Please, find someone else to do your surgery!

Dr. Steinmetz and his staff are absolutely great! The first time I met Dr. Steinmetz I could see he was going to be a stickler for every detail of my surgery, and he was, I could not be happier with the results. Dr. Steinmetz has a great bedside manner which was very important to me. He never seems in a hurry though I know he is. His staff are all so caring and compassionate. They have gone out of their way to help me. I can't recommend enough--while surgery is never fun---this doctor and staff will help you get through it with great care, and great RESULTS!!

I had a surgery scheduled for 8/6. I was tested for COVID on 8/3. I was told to take the test and everything else would be handled the morning of surgery. My husband and I got up at 3am and made the two hour drive to Birmingham. Upon arrival at the hospital we were informed that my surgery had been cancelled. We drove back home and I called Dr. Steinmetz office. Jennifer said she had called on Monday afternoon yet I had no missed calls and no voicemail. She Did not make sure I knew that my test was POSITIVE on Monday which led to my entire family being exposed. She also did not make sure I knew my surgery was cancelled. When I ask her about this she said she didnt get around to it. I would not recommend them to cut my grass much less cut my breast open. Will never step foot in there again.

Dr. Steinmetz's office was very difficult to deal with. They were extremely slow to return phone calls and acted like you were inconveniencing them when you called. I was very disappointed when I was told to sit in a cramped dark room to watch a dated video about my recent breast cancer diagnosis instead of him taking the time to sit down and discuss it with me face to face.

Dr Steimetz is the best cosmetic surgeon I’ve ever met ! He performed a miracle on my abd reconstruction!!!! I can’t praise him & his staff enough !!! Thank You Dr Steinmetzs I feel like a different woman

Excellent! Dr.Steinmetz goes above and beyond. He truly cares about his patients and wants what's best for them. He's one of a kind. So pleased.

The worst doctor I've ever seen for any reason. He pays no attention to his patients, no attention to your allergies, no attention to your problems or solving them, only cares about getting a cash payment, and leaves you hanging after surgery. Staff doesn't bother returning calls, and when the surgery goes completely awry, he bows out angrily. He charges up front for everything, but it turns our you get billed thousands more because they don't pay for the things they are supposed to, and then you get sued by the hospital, etc., after being told by the staff not to pay and they will fix the problem. I wouldn't recommend him for dog catcher and his staff is worse than inept.

In March of this year (2019) Dr. Steinmetz performed my breast reduction. I was a large D to a DD on the left and a C on the right. He brought me down to a size B and I could NOT be happier! He is a wonderful, caring surgeon. He is meticulous when it comes to his work. (which is very reassuring when having plastic surgery!) I have had two of my other doctors comment on his work and how great a job he has done for other they've seen. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Steinmetz.

I went to Dr steinmetz for a bilateral brachioplasty. I paid for this, including the hospital Bill which he was supposed to pay. I also paid him to perform suction lumpectomy on my back. After surgery my husband and I were very surprised to find that he had only removed one (1) pound of fat from my right upper arm, leaving a large dip which was very obvious. He did not remove any fat from my back! PLUS, the hospital billed Medicare and was paid by them!!! They told me that Dr Steinmetz did not.

Dr. Steinmetz has been amazing! I know several people that he has treated and they ALL spoke very highly of him. From my own experience he has been a dream to be a patient. He is very caring and has your best interest at the top of his list. He is precise and takes the time to keep you informed. I wish every doctor that I visited had such a wonderful staff and GREAT doctor!

He is always concerned and is willing to listen. He has even helped me find the right doctors for other medical conditions. He is an excellent doctor.

I had a breast reduction in 2005,but with my surgery he gave me Lipo and a life and they are still great,I have recommended two of my family members and they love his work and his bed side attitude.thinking about doing something else.

Doctor is wonderful. He listens to you. Had a breast reduction and it was the best thing I ever did for myself. I feel like a new woman. I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Steinmetz and his staff. They will be with you every step of the way.

After spending time at the Bruno cancer center, Dr. Susan Salter tells me that she wants me to see a Dr. Steinmetz, he is the greatest, you will love your results plus the man in smart and he knows what he is doing. She was oh so right. His staff is nice, they put you at ease, always pleasant. My children ages 27 and 35 met him and love Dr. Steinmetz. We tell all we meet , if you need that type of service, see Dr. Steinmetz.

Dr steinmetz was wonderful and his staff made you feel right at home. I am very pleased with my results.

Dr. Steinmetz did my breast reconstruction after a double mastectomy. He is meticulous and extremely caring. My results are amazing! I would highly recommend him.

Dr Steinmetz put me at ease from day one. He did my breast reduction in July 2016 and they look perfect. My GYN complimented his work today and stated how great they looked and she's never seen anyone that didn't have a thick scar under their breast. She said he did great. He has very great bedside manners and he listens to and answers any and all of your questions that you may have. I would highly recommend him to anyone that's considering cosmetic surgery.

Dr. Steinmetz is very caring and very professional. He is very attentive and takes time to explain everything to you. He went above and beyond what I ever expected. Also, his staff is the most kind, friendly, and helpful of any doctors office that I have ever been to. I can not say enough good things about Dr. Steinmetz and his staff. I highly recommend!

Very good experience. Dr Steinmetz is very personable and great at what he does.

Dr. Steinmetz has an incredible bedside manner and he spend time with patients to discuss options. I saw him in a crisis situation after another dr. He had me admitted in hopital within 2 hours and did surgery that night..I think he is amazing. Staff are fabulous too...

Such a great experience. Highly recommend anyone seeking plastic surgery to consult with Dr. Steinmetz when making your decision.

He was wonderful to work with. I was skeptical of seeing a plastic surgeon for my problem, but he was very kind and meticulous in my surgery as well as follow-up appointments.

Dr. Steinmetz and staff have exhibited above average care and enthusiasm. He is blessed not only with superior surgical skills and a meticulous nature, but also a very compassionate connection with his patients. Once with no makeup and no hair due to chemo, I told him not many people get to see me looking like this, he said, "You look beautiful no matter what." What a wonderful response. I am thankful that he is my surgeon, and I have counted Dr. Steinmetz and his staff in my many blessings.

Truly can not recommend him highly enough. He did my breast reconstruction and I swear he was in my room checking on me at least four times before I left the next day and he even called at midnight to ask the nurse how I was doing. What kind of doctor does that? Thankfully this one does. His staff will always be near and dear to my heart. Paperwork for my short term disability was returned in 2 hours. Two hours! He and his staff genuinely care about each patient. They are wonderful!

I could not recommend Dr. Steinmetz HIGH enough. He is an artist...and very concerned and particular that his patients have the utmost care. I am very pleased...'Very.' I am now considering a neck lift. I have had breast reduction and my breasts were very large and low hanging and caused considerable pain in my upper arms, shoulders, neck and upper back. I have no pain now. And my breasts are a C cup and look like that of a 20 yr. old. I can't believe its me and the scarring is gone.
