Mr. Stephen Samuel Pirotta

I saw Dr. Pirotta in June of 2022 and then again in Feb 2023 for plantar fasciitis. Both experiences were abysmal with the last one being absolutely horrendous. First visit, he xrayed my feet and only saw small bone spurs and pretty much minimized my pain sighting so many other people have horrible bone spurs and tolerate them or people didn't have real issues until they were much larger. Acted as if he was confused about everything even though this is specialty. Offered steroids, mentioned an over the knee splint to be worn an hour a night and I declined so he gave me a script for an anti-inflammatory. It felt antiquated and dismissive. Not once did he mention physical therapy or strength training and sent me out the door with a printed paper with 2 stretches on it. Over the following months, my pain got worse, the point of affecting my day to day (pain level 8) and leaving me in tears for a month straight. I'm a mom of 4 small children, an athlete and in great shape. I was desperate and went back. I regretted it immediately upon going as he didn't even have me charted correctly from my last visit, he didn't x ray my feet again and didn't offer me anything other than 3 prescriptions (1 being an opiod), 2 shots in my hip, the overnight knee splint (thankfully they didn't have in stock) and shoe inserts. I told him this feels like a band aid rather than solution and said I've never had any medical issues or injuries that would require me to take opioids or steroids and his reply was Oh you've been pretty lucky then, shrugged his shoulders and left. Like I said, I'm an athlete, a runner and in great shape. I went home and researched and reached out to friends and they all said the SAME thing..google yoga for plantar fasciitis, videos for strength training for plantar fasciitis, stretches for it and toe spacers!!!! I did that and have been doing that for the last few weeks and the differences are astronomical. Pain is almost a 2 consistently and have been in so much of a better mood as I'm able to exercise, play with my kids and feel better physically. My issue is this is the first time I've needed medical intervention for pain and was so desperate for relief and TRUSTED this doctor that I took all these prescriptions and allowed the shots and it all made me feel horrible and didn't work. Not one time did he mention any intervention OUTSIDE his practice and with those 2 visits, it truly felt like he wanted to get every monetary source out of me before sending me on my way and I don't respect that. If you do research you will find that stretching, strength training and getting those toes spaced out and moving well is the key to healing. NOT DRUGS AND SHRUGGED SHOULDERS. I was at my lowest when I visited him and left even lower. When I say it was the lowest point, I mean it. With that being said, his staff is amazing! I could overhear him belittling one nurse as they were OUT of the over the knee splints and she came in apologizing profusely. I felt worse for her than I did for me in that moment. The front desk is also amazing. I don't want to take anything away from them as they were so kind and compassionate. I would not recommend this doctor to anyone at anytime, EVER!

Very nice and helpful

I always get the utmost care from Dr Pirotta's staff, they always go the extra mile so to speak. The staff is one of a kind and Dr Pirotta always tries to be correct in diagnosing the problem.

Poor experience of a $325 visit with Doctor Pirotta. He wasn't wearing sterilized gloves during cortisone injections into my feet. He also injected me into the incorrect part of my left foot, and after sterilizing my right foot with alcohol, he then touched the sterilized area with his bare fingers. I politely asked him to re-sterilize the area, which he did. He was nice enough to not charge for x-rays that revealed no problems with my feet. God bless him and his staff. I won't be back. I certainly hope they focus and tighten their operation. Shoddy work.

I found my first visit to be a very good experience. The staff was very polite and informed, registration was quick and efficient with almost everything handled online in advance. Dr. Pirotti seems very efficient, knowledgeable and well trained. The office is very well organized and clean. They seem to be very well equipped and look very much like a one stop shop. I am withholding the 5th star only until I get more experience with his office. I am diabetic and already scheduled for a fitting, in their office, for inserts and new diabetic shoes to help prevent future problems. I just moved and Dr. Pirotti is a new Dr. for me. Always very thorough with foot exam for my diabetic feet

I always get the utmost care from Dr Pirotta's staff, they always go the extra mile so to speak. The staff is one of a kind and Dr Pirotta always tries to be correct in diagnosing the problem.

My first time there. Absolutely fantastic! The doctor was thorough and very kind. Ashley, his medical assistant is equally wonderful. Great care, great attention. Definitely a 5 out of 5!

Absolutely amazing. I would go back 100 times. No pain on the shot nor the surgery. 5 star service all the way. I went to another clinic a week prior & it was a nightmare. My husband, Todd, was sent to Dr. Piratta by the VA, and we are so glad they did. The care has been excellent since day one. When my husband had an issue on a weekend, I left a message on the answering machine, and Dr. Piratta called within 15 minutes! With covid restrictions, I am longer able to go in with him, but everyone makes sure to keep me updated. My experience with Dr Piriotta and his staff have been wonderful. They are all so friendly. They are prompt for your appointment, they don’t leave you hanging or give you the run-around. Although some pain is involved in my treatments, I have just really enjoyed my time in their office. They are very professional, structured and caring. I finished up my visits with Dr Piriotta as of 10/29/20. I couldn’t be happier with my care. They are all such nice people and so enjoyable to be around. Dr. Pirotta and his staff are amazing. Had a big toe implant 3 weeks ago and I haven’t felt this good in years. Already walking 2-3 miles a day, thanks to not only the great job he did, but also the recommendations he gave me for PT at home. He is always great to talk to and explains things extremely well. Dr.Pirotta and the staff at Advanced Foot & Ankle Clinic are absolutely fantastic. They saved my foot from being amputated from having a severe diabetic ulcer. The staff is very professional and very nice. And, they will always have my thanks.

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. P and his support staff. After coming in frustrated by the weeks of waiting and lack of service from another practice, the administrative and medical staff at the clinic sprung into action, did all of the diagnostic/explanations/insurance authorization and surgery scheduling immediately. Dr. P explained my condition/injuries and how he planned to fix them in depth and answered questions with a friendly, competent and comforting bedside manner. Deidra was kind, funny and skilled in filling me in on all of my do’s and don’t s. They were wonderful and supportive on surgery day and beyond. Dr. P even checked on me with a Saturday phone call. They handled a minor swelling complication in stride and really involved me in what I needed to heal and be comfortable, pairing my common sense with their knowledge. I am 3 weeks post op, Ashley removed my stitches and I’m thrilled with my outcome so far. Way less pain than expected, mobility limited but doable and great follow up support from the office. Do not trust this Doctor to do any kind of surgery on you. He destroyed my moms foot and toes, he put pins in her toes for hammer toe. She lost circulation in all 4 toes and developed a horrible infection that required hospitalization, and 6 weeks of intravenous antibiotics by a pic line at home. He denies everything and was dismissive and totally unprofessional. Do not trust this Doctor to do any kind of surgery on you.
