Stephen Douglas Henry

I first met Dr. Henry in my 30s. I am now in my 70s and still have full faith in Dr. Stephen Henry. He is an amazing human and the most caring and knowledgeable doctor.

Dr Henry has been our family’s doctor since 1985. He is caring, patient, dedicated, compassionate and a brilliant diagnostician. He is a stellar human being who is a stellar doctor. He respects his patients and expects each to be a member of their own treatment team; when you disagree with him, he listens, entertains and, when appropriate, acquiesces to your preferred treatment direction. I respect him tremendously and trust him implicitly. His staff is terrific as well.

Dr. Henry is my primary care physician. I cannot speak more highly of him. He is bright, caring, and inquisitive. He is not satisfied until he completely understands the issue. My visits with him are never rushed yet somehow he manages to never make you wait long. He is the best diagnostic physician I have ever had. He takes a very active role in my health. He started out as my doctor, but I now consider him my friend. He has helped me thru kidney stones, a painful, all night visit to the emergency room, that he was able to resolve by magically appearing at 6am and correctly diagnosing the problem that had eluded the ER staff, and most recently, correctly identifying a potential lipo-sarcoma.

Dr. Stephen Henry is the best doctor I have ever known. He really cares about each and every patient he has, and is the best diagnostician. He treats people not as diseases, but as people. I can safely say, that if you are in the care of Dr. Henry, you are in the very best hands.

Dr Henry was my doctor for 35 years. You will NEVER find a better doctor. Never. Knowledgeable, kind, and willing to listen and to explain. His staff is first rate as well. If they are drawing your blood you are in good hands. Thank you Susie and Estelle. Thank you Dr. Henry.

Dr. Henry is an amazing phenomenal doctor and has been treating my friends and family for about 20 years give or take. If you have something that’s particularly rare or having a hard time getting a diagnosis, he is the doctor to see! He will get you what you need immediately and goes above and beyond for his patients! His bedside manner is by far the best of any doctor I have met in my entire life and I only hope that more doctors can take a page from Dr. Henry about his bedside manner! The quality of care you get is definitely worth any of the downsides - which is why my rating isn’t lower than the quality of healthcare that you get! Only a few downsides: - Parking can be tight so try to arrive early enough so you can find parking directly behind or nearby enough to walk! - Sometimes the office is super slow or backlogged in regards to appointment times or billing. However the majority of all of the staff are extremely friendly and take care of you since you are a valuable patient! Due to appointments sometimes taking a bit, I recommend that you bring something offline to do while you wait as there’s no wifi and very little phone signal strength. A good book, a magazine, etc. is good for the waiting room! - Be wary of some new hires to the staff though because they don’t always have the experience of working at such an office with high expectations. Double check to make sure that your appointment is locked in with any new hires! ~ Recently I witnessed this woman who had an appointment, but the person who took it never marked it down correctly, even though the doctor had it in their schedule. So be safe, and double check appointments just in case this happens! Aside from these minor office downsides, rest assured you are in the best, most capable hands in the LA county area! I trust Dr. Henry completely. As my Doctor for 25+ years he has alway been kind, thoughtful, and able to accurately address my health issues. He has an amazing work ethic and way of working with patients that has inspired me in my own life. I am fortunate to know Dr. Henry and have his care as a physician.
