I’d like to start off saying that Dr. Earle operated on my spine yesterday and is an AMAZING surgeon. He is efficient and kept updating my girlfriend who was in the waiting room at the hospital waiting for me. His bedside manner is among the best I’ve ever seen in a doctor and that’s coming from a nurse. He brought me so much comfort me and my girlfriend and he’s hilarious. Dr. Earle explained the whole procedure and recovery time very well. He is making sure my pain control is taken care of and I am highly satisfied with the pain control plan. I can already feel improvement in the severe pain I had before surgery. I highly recommend him 5/5 stars. I feel like I got the opposite experience of all the other reviewers. The front desk customer service was great , really nice girls and informative. During my initial consult w the Dr, for spinal fusion he indicated multiple times that my recovery period would be a few DAYS. I lift weights and asked him specifically about this and he indicated there would be no restrictions after 3 days. Fast forward to 10days before surgery and I receive a packet of paperwork saying I shouldn't eat solid food for a period of time, ill need physical therapy and won't be able to work out for MONTHS. When I called the office to inquire about this discrepancy in recovery time, understandably slightly confused and upset, the office manager SUGGESTED I cancel my surgery. Im in constant pain and have been waiting for this surgery for 2 years and cannot express my disappointment with the way my situation was handled when my 1st important question arose. The paperwork they sent says to call for questions and concerns. They made me feel so bad I wouldn't recommend them, specifically bc of the office manager I feel like I got the opposite experience of all the other reviewers. Best surgeon EVER! Very friendly and thorough in speaking with his patients regarding plans for treatment of back issues. Very satisfied with my lumbar surgery.

Best surgeon listens to his patients. Only does surgery if you really need it.

First off I've never been so impressed and felt more welcomed at a doctors office all staff professional friendly the greatest respect is shown and given to any patient no matter the reason for scheduled appointment. As far as Dr. Earle my fiancee and I left the office and the day of and after my surgery couldn't be any more welcoming n stress free gave every detail that I should expect before during and after surgery . Dr. Earle is a professional man who cares for his patients present injuries and future outcomes of surgeries I will always remember how he explained the whole ordeal to me n my fiancee I was like he can just tell me I need to have surgery and get paid for it or I can take time to think it over( it took me almost a year before I couldn't handle my pain & had surgery done) it was all up to me and how I felt and was ready ... Dr. Earle is a fantastic surgeon and will not end your appointment until all of YOUR questions are answered and satisfied. As for his staff, they are absolutely top notch and handle everything so you have zero headaches. If 10 stars were available, I'd definitely give them that rating.

The receptionist/s are the best here. Never a nuisance to call for information/ questions (like MANY OTHER PLACES ARE!)

Went to see Dr. Earle for a second opinion after talking and seeing many doctors before him. I can honestly say he made me feel comfortable and not just another number. Front desk staff is hilarious and fun. They enjoy work. X-ray tech is efficient, took 6-8 images in about 60 seconds. Dr Stephen Earle is awesome. Bedside manner like no other.

Dr. Stephen Earle is the ONLY doctor my wife Kristen will allow to operate on her spine period. He is hands down the best orthopedic surgeon in the ENTIRE city. He listens to every concern, provides quality care, and genuinely is interested in healing YOU. He will not let you suffer, and will do everything in his power to give you quality of life. He has done both of my wifes 2-level spinal fusions, one in her neck and one on her lower back. I honestly do not know what kind of life she'd be living if she didn't find him. 5 stars, 2 thumbs WAY WAY up! I recommend you call him ASAP. Beware. 16 item cervical surgery report for possible spinal fluid leak. There was no leak. Final result is a cervical simulator.

Had him do back surgery on me in 2015, came home the next day. NO rehab or home visits.... found out I now need more surgery on the area he worked on. Don’t trust him to do another surgery on me. Lost confidence in him when he wouldn’t say exactly what was wrong two years later. Then was asked to find another dr because they said they don’t take my insurance anymore but that’s a lie they still do accept it.

I was treated for failed lumbar spine syndrome and lumbar herniated nucleus pulps us and disk disruption. I would highly recommend Dr. Earle if your requiring back surgery.

I had surgery back in 1989 from L4 and L5 and have never had issues until now from a different injury up higher on my spine thinking about giving him a call I live in Minnesota now so we will see what happens but he is a doctor I can trust very honest and up front Dr that is not out just for the money.

Had surgery last Wednesday.. My L5 S1 disk.. Dr Stephen Earle was truly awesome and has been every since.. He's a terrific Dr.. If I ever need another back surgery or anything I'm definitely going to be seeing him again.. ????

Dr.Earle Literally saved my life in the late 1980's after a tremendously bad infection that would've killed most but he never gave up and stayed the course looking for every viable avenue to cure the infection, he was successful after enlisting me in one of the earliest Public hypobaric Studies in San Antonio and in the nation. This man stayed by my side day and night for nearly an entire year of "Pure Clinical Hell". A story I'm sure that still haunts the hallowed halls of Northeast Baptist Hospital. in an odd twist of fate he agreed to do surgery once again 20 years later to almost the exact date and again he would explore all the newest and most innovative surgery techniques available to repair my back for once and for all, he was successfully in stabilizing and repairing my Back. I owe the last 30+ years of my life to the Stupendously great efforts of this Orthopedic surgeon who went over and above the call of duty by 100 times over. If you're in need of an Orthopedic Surgeon and you haven't met Dr. Stephen Earle and shook this Surgeons skilled hands I suggest you take the time to do so. He comes from a very long line of Surgeons in his family and he's accomplished on so many levels it isn't funny. I had two disc replacement surgeries prior to my having to have an emergency surgery performed by Dr. Earle, the first two went very well, I followed the directions of Dr.Fogel,remained in hospital for several days then being transported to a rehabilitation facility for several weeks when I came home I was up and about performing necessary tasks, even enjoying my family,my pets and some light gardening. Dr.Earle released me after a two day stay in the hospital,without any medication for pain.

The best Dr. In the city !!

Everything about Dr. Earl and his office staff was absolutely wonderful I have been dealing with degenerative disk disease amongst other diagnosis with my back. When I met Dr .Earl I honestly can say after almost 11 years of different doctors and staff there is no other Doctor or staff that I can say even came close to Doctor Earl's genuine compassion wonderful bedside manner and caring comforting staff. I have decided he will be the surgeon that completes my hopefully first and last spinal fusion along with other necessary repairs too my back I for the first time feel comfortable and at ease to get my surgery I very much need done!! The worst most unprofessional staff I have ever experienced. Will not return

I've been a patient of Dr. Earle's since 2008 and I've had the opportunity to change doctors to increase my benefits but once I research the doctor's list and his name isn't on it I say no. He told me something when I first saw him and it still rains true ( Once I operate on you we are family).

He performed a spinal fusion on my husband several years ago. He did an excellent job. Both he and his staff have always been very friendly and helpful before, during and after the surgery. Unfortunately Dr. Earle no longer takes workerman's comp so he can't treat my husband's injury anymore. I would highly recommend Dr. Earle to anyone needing an excellent, caring back specialist.
