Dr. Clarks office is full of great staff from the receptionist to the Drs. The receptionists are always so kind and try their best to accommodate to your schedule. I have called the same day for a walk in apt and was able to be seen with no problem. Dr. Andrew has been so helpful with everything I bring to him. Dr. Kelly is a new favorite of mine as she is not only personable but very kind with her care as well. I have been going to this office for over 10 years and have never had a single complaint about my care. Dr. Clarks office is full of great staff from the receptionist to the Drs. What a scam of a dr office they always push me through in and out. They sent me for some test that. Require a covid 19 test. So i set up a covid test with them then they try charging me 40$ like wth i can go to Walgreens or cvs and get one for free. Then they proceed to tell me they wont do it unless i pay.
I’ve seen both Dr Clark and his PA and they’re both amazing. Each was extremely knowledgeable, gave very thorough exams and spent time answering all of my questions.
Takes his time! Very good doctor!
I’ve been going here since I was young & love it! Everyone is professional and kind. Sam was the best PA and am very sad she is no longer here

I have been coming to Lindenhurst Family Practice for as long as I can remember. I started seeing Sam Josen, PA, about 4-5 years ago and my outlook on going to the doctors office has completely changed. I had seen many of the other PA’s but none compared to the kindness and genuine care for the patient that Sam provides. She listens to all the concerns that I have and she explains everything thoroughly so I understand completely what we are going to do when it comes to my healthcare. She makes me feel heard as a patient and I’m treated as a person rather than just another body walking through the doors. Thank you for all that you do, Sam! I have been a patient here for 10+ years. My daughter has been a patient here for 5+ years. I have had plenty of experience with bad doctors and frustrating medical experiences as someone who has chronic illnesses. The biggest plus that has me returning here is Samantha Josen. Not only does she make you feel like a friend but she takes the personal time to make you feel heard and cared for. Sam Josen is a bright and realistic light at that place and sets reasonable expectations for your care as well as treating you efficiently. Some places make you feel like they "have to meet a quota" but Sam Josen is different. She is exactly what medical professionals should be. At the front desk Ashton is always a delight to deal at the front desk and never loses her cool. She is always smiling (even with a mask) and accommodates your schedule as much as she can. And another great addition is the pharmacy. The pharmacist takes the time to make sure you get your prescriptions in a timely and efficient manner. I have been a patient here for 10+ years. I came to this place since it was in network with our insurance. Since coming here, we (me and two other members of our family) have seen and interacted with a variety of their staff and have had such incredible care from Sam Josen, PA. She is thorough and genuinely cares for her patients. We have always felt like she takes the time to listen and will go the extra mile when we have any medical concerns to investigate our symptoms and recommend/provide the best treatment. She is such an asset to have on the team. I have never had a medical provider I have felt more comfortable with and more cared by. Kudos! I love coming into this office. Never have a problem getting in to see someone! I personally have been seeing Sam the physicians assistant for a few years now. Have been going to them since I was a young lad, recently they have been treating me like trash. Go somewhere else
Dr. Clark was my primary for years until it became harder and harder to get an appointment in a reasonable amount of time. When a day came that I needed quick help I went to the walk-in clinic and met my new primary. Sam Josen has been a literal 180 from previous doctors (Clark not included), not only makes me understand what is going on, but what we can do about it. She has not only seen me through the failures of other doctors and surgeons, but has pushed me back on a much better path. Not only does it feel like she actually cares about my health, but she didn't tiptoe around. The straight forward honesty is a breath of fresh air. You can only go here if you are healthy I guess.
This office charged me a $50.00 fee for “missing” my appointment, when I was late. Doing so is in violation of the American Medical Association policy if the patient is not advised of the potential fee at the time of booking. I was not informed at the time of the appointment that a “missed” or “late” appointment would result in a fee. Upon my arrival, I was informed of such a fee and told that I could wait for a “walk-in appointment”. This tells me that this mysterious administrative fee is just that, an administrative fee to penalize clients for late or non-arrivals (aka Nickel and Dime the patient). This is a complete double standard because the physicians are regularly 15-30 minutes late whenever I have made appointments to see them, so I regularly would just use the “walk-in appointment” option. I didn't this time because I had to call ahead because I didn't know what their COVID-19 restrictions were... This office also refuses to use email, but (watch) they address every negative complaint (in sometimes a rather snarky and condescending tone, or they attack someone's spelling or grammar because I can only assume they can't refute the claims) made on social media or online. So, they have the capability to use technology outside of the 80’s, but they just refuse to do so for appointment reminders (and associated disclosures), or informing their patient base on changes coming to their practice, or changes to their operations due to COVID-19, etc… Makes me wonder why they are financially struggling so much that they are forced to nickel and dime their patients in the Lake Villa and Lindenhurst areas. I don't recommend. I won't be going back for any of my HealthCare needs, that is 100% for sure. Now I just have to decide if I am going to find a new provider and leave my medical records unless I pay their hostage fee/payment, or if I will take advantage of the legal statute (735 ILCS 5/8-2001) that will allow me to physically see and copy the records myself. If I choose to exercise my right, I'm curious to see if they will refuse, granting me "expenses and reasonable attorneys' fees incurred in connection with any court ordered enforcement of the provisions" of this statute. Who knows. This office charged me a $50.00 fee for “missing” my appointment, when I was late. Used to be a good experience. Now they just upcharge on everything and don't work with you well. Wastes time.
Dr Clark himself is a great doctor. The one time i saw him he acted quickly to resolve my concerns and help me get the care i needed. once he is alerted to an issue he seems to take care of it . Unfortunately his physicians assistants don’t seem to pass on information about his patients unless they make a fuss. It’s great that this office has walk in hours, but unless you book an appointment months in advance, good luck seeing an actual doctor. The front office staff is usually holding personal conversations which makes them too busy to answer calls or call back patients in a timely manner. every time i call in, I’m put on hold. This office is a waste of time and money but when your in pain, TIME is the thing that matters more. I will be finding a doctors office where i will actually receive the care I need. Sam is the BEST! Shes so understanding, kind and also super funny. I’ve never bonded with a doctor like I have with her!
So glad my family found Dr. Clark 15 years ago. He takes his time and patience with every visit. Professional and caring, could not ask for more.
Hands down, Sam is the best! I have never had a doctor actually listen to me, and figure out how to treat whatever is going on. I will never go anywhere else as long as she's there. I wish there were more "real people" medical professionals, they make the difference!
I have had nothing but professional, timely and informative interactions with Dr. Clark and his entire staff. I'm not sure what people expect when they give a low rating. With the ACA, I have been shuffled from doctor to doctor around the area and this is by FAR the best physician and staff in Lake county (medical, dental, etc...). I have never waited more than 2-3 minutes to be called into the exam room. I have also never waited more than a few minutes once in the exam room for the doctor to arrive. And most importantly, Dr. Clark talks to you; not at you. He isn't staring into a laptop. He hand writes his notes. He is as close to an old-school doctor as you can get, and I mean that in the most complimentary and genuine way possible. I have been a patient here for many years. As of the last year or so, they have stopped caring about their patients. I guess they don’t need the patients anymore as they are very busy. This is the second time they have denied my prescription for something I have been taking regularly for YEARS. Today it was my albuterol inhaler. My last annual was in November, so yes I am due for an appointment. You would think they would allow the refill one last time and let me know I need to be seen. This is what they used to do. No longer! As big of a pain as it is to change doctors after one knows your history, I will not be going back to Lindenhurst Family Practice. While the medical care given by Dr. Clark and his medical staff is of the highest grade, it is the office staff that drags this practice down. Over the last few years there has been a large turn over in office staff and the quality has never recovered. The office staff gives incorrect information as to what requires an appoitment and not, they demonstrate little to no empathy when the reason you are at walk in hours is not allowed through walk in hours ( wether there is a line or not), they engage in side conversations while on the phone and while in the office handeling clients, and the front desk takes an extended time to return calls regarding office based questions. Dr Kharasch is fantastic. She actually listens to what you are saying and genuinely cares how you are doing. She readily refers to appropriate specialist when warranted. In my opinion best physician around!!
Dr. Clark is a skilful and caring doctor; very knowledgeable and uses excellent judgement. In the medical world a lot of issues (most) are not "cut and dry". People now think that a diagnosis comes from a test and the solution comes from a pill. In reality, which test and which pill (if any) - that's where a great doctor come in to the scene. Factually, many issues and diseases have no test available to prove or disprove a specific condition (Parkinson as a example). To sift through the possibilities requires observation and interaction. People complain when a doctor is late but nobody ever complains when the doctor spends an extra 10 minutes with you to get to the real problem (which my very well save your life). A few minutes here and there during the day add up which can back things up. A doctor's office is not fast food; if you want fast food go the clinic at Wal*****. I'll take late but thorough everytime. Some people complain about how much a doctor earns, but I've never seen people bring up that subject when they are in the ER and they think they are about to die. For the record, I'm just a patient, not in health care but I've been around the block a few times over the years. Dr Clark is one of the most amazing men, let alone amazing doctors I have ever been privileged to meet. Every time I am in there, he reminds me of the doctor from 100 years ago that knew you intimately, had genuine concern for your well being, and took the time to truly understand all of your concerns. I wish God could duplicate him for everyone as he is the mold for a quality doctor. I always leave the office not only with a direction for my care, but feel like I just visited with an old friend! If I could give 10 stars I would!!!
Always terribly late. But if your 5 minutes late to wait for 45 minutes, they won't see you. Terribly rude and aggressive staff. Uncaring doctors... just keep looking.
There is one PAC in particular that is awful, uncaring and really just a robot. I liked Sam and Dr. Karasch very much. But this one PAC ruined it all. I need another dr at this facility to clean up his mess which is gong to cost me another co-pay.
The doctor is always late for appointments and its uncleanly.. I walk out with a flu every time I see the doctor. Dr. Clark, himself, isn't too intelligable. He will focus on being personable to make up for it. He really screwed up my cortisol levels and still tries increasing my cortisol for asthma that is under control. What a block head... This practice is fantastic! Starting with the front staff; amidst the phone ringing off the hook and the patients being put into rooms, these ladies are fast, courteous and professional. I over heard one of the girls saying they had seen 60 patients already (it was 2 o'clock) I was put into a room right away and Dr. Kharasch was there within about 2 minutes. She is very knowledgable, and thorough and I love her bedside manner. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND

This practice has a walk in clinic which they are not prepared to handle. I waited 90 minutes to see a doctor for a refill on a prescription. Note- they were NOT busy but they attended to all appointments before getting to me. That means they don’t have any doctors or staff to handle walk ins. One guy walked out in frustration because the front desk wouldn’t give him an estimated wait time. I had waited 55 minutes only to have them tell me my situation (a refill) would require an appointment! I told them I can’t wait for that and that they should have told me that when I first arrived. Finally after all 11 “appointments” cleared and as I said, an hour and a half wait I was seen for a two minute visit. I’m looking for a new doctor as I’m new to the area but between the rude front desk (the attendee talked over me the entire time) and their inability to handle walk ins I will never be back! I and my family have been with them for over ten years. Dr Clark and his staff have always given us the best care. I'm very happy with them and would highly recommend and do often to friends and family.
I have nothing but great things to say about this practice. I was referred to Dr. Clark because I was looking for a doctor that would actually LISTEN to me. Dr. Clark and the PA Andy are spectacular in their "bedside manner" and actually listen to my issues and concerns. You never get an appointment with a doctor at this practice, only with a PA, AND SOMETIMES A PA STUDENT! I don't l mind seeing a PA, but a student???! I got a full work up for step throat by the student when I never even complained of a sore throat, and told him I'd had strep before and didn't think this was strep. I was there for a persistant cough. Guess who's strep test came back negative. I had to go back twice to get the cough taken care of, and was mocked by PA over it being so persistant.

This is an assembly line type doctors office. Extremely difficult to actually make an appointment with Dr. Clark. It is all about the money, not so much the care or interest of the patient. I put up with it as long as I could as I hate going thru the new patient routine. Recently did find a new doctor and now I am told if I want MY medical records I will have to pay for copies. $1 per page. That is not the industry normal. Just the money making assembly line Lindenhurst Family Practice.

Can only give Dr. notes for the day you were seen because they can't verify you were sick before that instant and can't verify you won't be sick the day after you leave. Stupidest policy ever. Look for a different doctor office if your company requires doctors notes for missed time.
This place is the worst. When our primary care physician's office in Gurnee closed in 2015 we were forced to find another doctor. My family recommended Dr. Clark and I've taken my 3 kids there since then. The care that the doctors have provided has always been mediocre at best, but today was the last straw. Our appt. was at 1:30pm and I was told to arrive 15-20min. early. We arrived at 1:10pm to complete the paperwork and ended up waiting until 2:25pm. Everyone I saw in the waiting room had been called and finished their appointments already. I finally ask when we'll be seen and I'm told "shortly" and that Andy, the PA, has to finish up with the current patient. I ask when that patient arrived and I was told 1:25, and that he was late. I asked why we were punished for that patient being late? I took a day off work so that I could get a physical along with my 3 kids. Trust me, it is punishment to be stuck in a waiting room with 3 young kids for over an hour .. especially when I arrived on time and had everything ready. They finally call us back at 2:25 and we sit in the room for another 15 minutes. I leave and ask when we'll be seen and no one seems to know. So, I walk back and get myself and the kids ready. As we are about to leave, Andy walks in. I told him we were leaving and that it was unacceptable to make us wait that long, and he said "well, that's your choice." Nice, huh? Oh, and as I was walking out of the room I hear the office staff talking about me to each other. How professional. Avoid this place at all costs unless you want to waste an entire day here and be treated like garbage. This place is the worst. I love Dr. Clark. He is probably the first doctor I've gone to who will take the time, sit down with you, and talk about whatever is going on with your health. Usually, with other doctors, you go in for issue A and that's all you can talk about. Dr. Clark will talk about all of your health issues if you want. I badly hurt my foot and went in to "walk -in. My foot was badly bruised, swollen, painfull and I couldn't walk on it. PA gave me referral for X-rays . X-rays showed a broken foot. Dr Clarks office never even bothered calling me to tell me that . if I wouldn't look at the X-rays myself and gone to orthopedic doctor, I would've been wobbling with a broken foot . Three weeks later, still no calls from that office. Very poor patient care.

I went in with a HORRIBLE sore throat. I've had strep at least once a year for the past 12 years so I was certain that's what I had. Dr Clark refused to believe this was possible. My rapid came back negative. Mine ALWAYS do and then the culture comes back positive, and I told him this but he laughed at me and said that there's only a 5% chance of that happening. He sent me on my way with no help. Sure enough, 5 days later I get a call saying I have strep. Never going to Dr Clark again.
I called to book an appt. for a routine check-up and was told that this practice does not see patients over the age of 59. Very disappointed.
No. These guys aren't big into putting a lot of care into their patients. They will see you yes, but generally they (Clark, McGowan, etc.) will half-listen to your problems and prescribe blanket measures which mostly amount to a pill regimen. They don't pay much attention to the details of your problems, which is where serious issues often hide. My father went here for years and had some serious issues pop up under their care (swollen lymph nodes, arrhythmia). Their answer was never "hey, let's check that out" it was "that's normal with someone with a heart condition, here are some extra pills for that". Guess what, it turned out to be cancer. There was also never much followup about these problems. They took a laizze-fare attitude with increasingly worsening issues. Too comfortable with the toys their money is buying them I guess. And if they do order a diagnostic, prepare for it to be 2-3x as expensive as it should be. I got a urinalysis there during a routine STD checkup and it cost me $400 for an incomplete STD regimen. I could order a fully comprehensive test on my own for under $300 from labs that specialize in STD testing. And God forbid you're a woman! Most of the women in my family who have seen them have received the "oh you're a woman, it's probably just your emotions" response to most of the concerns being voiced during checkups. These guys lack detail orientation, are generally uncaring, expensive, and sexist. I'm surprised they haven't been targeted by a medical negligence lawsuit yet. My entire family goes to this practice - we have been going for over 11 years - we see Dr. Clark and Dr. McGowan - they have always been very patient and take their time with us....we go in for an appointment and never feel rushed when we see them. Highly recommend this office.
Called to make an appointment based off a referral from a friend that is a patient, as our family doctor left her practice. After a brief interview of my medical history by office staff, I was told they would not accept me as a patient because I was on prescription pain medication for a chronic health condition. Last I checked, doctors are in business to help patients, but clearly not Dr. Clark and staff. As a nurse in the community and a local hospital, I would never recommend this practice.

I would not recommend this practice. At walk in you only see a P.A, never a DR. If you need to schedule an appt. with the Dr. They are not in after 3:00. If you do schedule and appt. you will need to wait at least a month to get in to see a DR. When I asked Dr. Clark to call me so I could discuss how the practice has gone down hill, he called and as soon as I started talking, he hung up on me and has NEVER attempted to call me again. A HUGE LACK OF PROFESSIONALISM.

I've been coming here for years. Each time I visit, I ask myself "why?" Their walk in program is a joke. I don't come often, but each time I do the wait is unbelievable. You're told 4 people ahead of you, which the normal person wouldn't think that is bad. 4 patients equals about 2 hours of waiting. You also will not see a doctor, it's a physician's assistant. Which usually means they will misdiagnose you. And you can't make an appointment unless you want to wait 2+ months for that appointment. Safe to say, it's time to look for a new doctor. Dr. Clark is the best medical doctor I have known. He takes time to know what is going on and shows genuine empathy along with being very knowledgeable about current research in medicine.
I have been to Dr. Clark for many years. He has been nothing but the absolute best in my opinion. He is caring, pleasant, thorough, and takes the time needed to find out what is really going on. He has guided me through a number of health issues, has given me excellent recommendations for more specific care when needed, and I have the utmost respect for him and confidence in him. I have to say I really like my doctor here. I have never had one that goes out of their way like mine (Dr. Kharasch) does to make sure I feel I am getting the best care possible. She comes in, sits down and makes me feel comfortable relating any issues I am having. She pays attention, answers any and all of my questions in a professional manner I can understand. The staff is always pleasant as well. Very glad I found this practice and highly recommend them. I have to say I really like my doctor here. DO NOT go here for the walk-in clinic. I went in on a Monday morning with a suspected ear infection and in so much pain I was fighting back tears in the waiting room. I waited 2.5 hours to be seen (which is unacceptable even for a walk-in clinic on a Monday morning) even though they told me it would only be about 30 minutes. When I finally was seen, it was by a physician's assistant named Chris Wyszomirski, not a real doctor. She checked my ears and told me they looked perfectly fine. Said she thought it was TMJ and I should just take Advil. I did as she said. Fast forward 24 hours and both of my ears are swollen shut and my face is so swollen I look like an alien. I decided to go to an ENT specialist for a second opinion and it took him FIVE SECONDS to look in my ears and confirm that I have a severe bilateral ear infection. Bottom line: this place was a waste of my time and money. Consider yourself warned. DO NOT go here for the walk-in clinic.
